    Aloo Masala Roll

Tried chai & kathi roll lounge while visiting Indy for a weekend trip and thought it was delicious! The food came out quickly and it was super easy to order. Food was very fresh and came out hot! I tried the aloo masala roll & the paneer roll, they were a bit spicy (if you have a low spice tolerance) but so so good and packed with a lot of flavor.

I just got into town today for a conference and wanted something quick for dinner from DoorDash. This place looked delicious - I love Indian food and also kathi rolls. I ordered: -Chicken Momos: dumplings. Interesting touch with the cucumbers (see photo). Very good. -Mango lassi: standard but good -Chicken kathi roll/sandwich: delicious but SPICY. Deducting one star because I wish they'd let you choose the spice level. Everything here was very tasty but a little too spicy for me, thankfully the lassi balanced it out. If they could allow you to select a spice level on DoorDash then this would have been 5 out of 5 stars from me.

Any day, anytime, I'd take a mix of warm, fluffy potatoes in a griddled Kathi roll and be a happy girl. It's always my go-to when trying out new places. Here, the exterior was too crisp for my liking and the filling was a bit too dry. The flavors were great though, seasoned well and balanced. Their menu has a lot of great options and I would go back to try more. The employees were friendly snd the food was served fast. The interior is spacious with alot of tables and chairs. There's plenty of parking.

I love that Indy has unique Indian street food spots like this! A nice change from a typical Indian restaurant. I ordered the chilli chicken kati roll and it was bursting with flavor, so delicious! We also got the grilled chicken sandwiches which didn't have a kick to it but still had so much flavor. And we got chicken momos to split and it was served so aesthetically and tasted amazing! All the food was great, and they have so many drink options to choose from. The food menu is pretty limited and the portion sizes are small, but pretty affordable with everything under $10. Not super filling for a dinner but would definitely recommend for lunch or a snack!

Been there twice, I can now confidently say most of the food items on their menu are amazing. The name in itself "Chai & Kathi Roll Lounge" brings together two favorites from India. Their grilled sandwiches are crisp with a delicious filling and they have almost same filling options in Kathi's (wraps) so based on whether you're a wrap person or a sandwich person, you can choose. They also have steamed momos which are presented beautifully. I love that the vibe is relaxing and there is a pool table for groups/couples to enjoy. The only one thing that could improve is the seating. While chairs and tables are preferred over couches when eating, the chairs aren't too comfortable.

We tried out Chai and Kathi roll for lunch on a Friday. The restaurant was beautifully decorated with a small private room in the back. It was also very clean. The service was a bit slow, but good regardless. Food was a bit heavy with turmeric. We ordered the vegetable momos and chili paneer Kathi roll. If we return, I'd love to try out their shakes and other drinks as they looked pretty good.

Iced Chai tea latte and chili chicken puff

Came across this on yelp and decided to give it a try. This is such a hidden gem! If you love Indian and chai tea, it's really a must try! I got a chili chicken puff and I wasn't sure what to expect but it amazed me. So good! I also got an iced chai, which the only milk option is whole. Im lactose intolerant but I went for it anyway. Tastes just as expected. I just hope maybe for future options there could be soy or oat milk. Regardless this place is Perfect for an afternoon lunch, or just to grab a tea and it hasn't gotten the attention it deserves. I'll definitely be back!

We stopped in on a whim, wanting to try out something new. If you're thinking of trying it out, be sure to do so, the food here is phenomenal -- the chicken nuggets on the kids menu are made in house (beware they do have sauce on them, but you can ask for no sauce!). The mango lassi's are on point and the spinach and corn grilled sandwich was a fantastic surprise. Our table also had the chili chicken roll and the aloor masala roll -- both great. But the real unexpected star of our dinner was something they will add soon to their menu; tikka/tandoori skillets with peppers, onions, and chicken or paneer. Our table loved it so much, including my kiddo. Come check it out and get a post meal drink!

this is such a hidden gem!! the man who took our order couldn't have been nicer, very patient as we debated which rolls to get (there are so many good choices) and was very excited when my parter ordered the indian iced coffee. the food came out quick for the amount we ordered! all of the rolls were Delicious. my personal favorite was the chili paneer because i love spice. my chai latte was the best one i can remember having in like past two years. i added vanilla and i would say its a perfect drink. super yummy and refreshing, sweet but just the right amount, and a great size for the price. we tried the momos for the first time here! they were a new food experience for us. i am excited to airfry my leftovers though! they have a lounge that seems to be like a free (?) private study space? and a pool table! we will be back again that much is for sure

Ended up getting the Phool Makhana Bhel (roasted lotus seeds) as a crunchy, mildly spicy appetizer, which was delicious, and a generous portion. (Deeply flavorful spices, wonderful crunch.) Went with the dal (yellow lentil soup) and ghee-free crispy methi roti (fenugreek leaf spiced flatbread) for my main -- both were deeply satisfying and powerfully flavorful, as well as very filling. My friend's goat biryani was apparently terrific (according to her); we ate a pile of food, but still ended up taking containers home. For the record: medium spice was juuuuuuuust right -- didn't make the eyes water, but had a mild bit of a bite. Super interesting menu, even for vegans! Will have to try dinner here in future.

I opted to enjoy mine the traditional way but it sounds like a fun option for vodka enjoyers! Butter chicken: 6/10 -- a little low for ME personally. Not trying to hate! I have had a fair share of delicious butter chicken and this was not as good as some of the others I have tried. It was just too sweet for my liking, although we did order a medium spice level. I think that anyone who did not grow up eating indian food would enjoy this very much so don't let my scale influence you on this specific dish. Cumin rice comes with the butter chicken! Garlic naan: 10/10 -- perfectly garlicky! flaky, buttery, and delicious!! Plenty of parking is available in the lot out front. When I went, the lounge/bar side of the space was still under construction but it should be open now! I need to revisit to check out some of the snack/drink options. Service was non existent so don't expect much there but it was not bad since we were just a table of 2.

Like some other Indian restaurants, they provide a large/shareable portion and you spoon it out yourself. The service was below average. Even though the server was only waiting on one other table, he never checked on me after taking my order. I had to go get him to get my check when I was finished. The bathroom could have been in better shape. There were cleaning supplies on the sink, the paper towel dispensers were broken, and there was an industrial dehumidifier running....Apparently, they have some sort of moisture problem in there. I came here for lunch at noon and there was only one table of customers in the whole restaurant. I'm not sure why the place was so empty, but price might be a factor. My lunch bill of chicken tikka masala and a Coke was $21 plus tip. That's a steep price for a lunch. They serve soda per can too so there aren't free refills.

When I went to pick it up, the interaction was fantastic again. Now, I'll be honest--the exterior might not grab your attention right away. But do not let that stop you, because the food here is absolutely amazing. The rice? Fluffy, soft, almost silky. Cooked perfectly. The chicken tikka masala? Wow. I ordered it medium heat (about a 3 out of 5), and it was spot on. Nothing overwhelming at first, just the perfect little kick at the end. The flavor was rich, balanced, and so satisfying. Pair that with the garlic naan, and it's like they were made for each other. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes. On December 23, my family and I attempted to use the certificates and were informed they would not be accepted because the restaurant considered the entire week to be a holiday period. The matter was escalated to the manager, who upheld the decision not to accept the certificates. After driving over an hour with my entire family, we were unable to use gift certificates that had already been purchased under the written terms provided at the time of sale. As a result, I lost the value of the certificates despite attempting to use them on a date that was not listed as an excluded holiday.
