We've been trying breakfast places in the area and found this gem. There's a parking lot. You order at the counter. They have a case with different drinks including cans of Diet Coke. They have a rack of Herr's chip options. The people are very friendly and helpful. There are two long tables with stools for patrons. They've been family owned and operating for 60 years. We tried the Eggle which is 2 eggs and cheese on a bagel and the grilled cheese sandwich. We also got a side of home fries. Everything was delicious. I saw that they have Amoroso rolls so I want to try a hoagie or cheesesteak next time.

Really decent breakfast sandwich - fast service, customisable options and fairly priced.

Food is fresh and hot, service is friendly with a smile, atmosphere is historic Americana and the price doesn't hurt your wallet

Traveling between a morning spent at the Philadelphia Zoo and an afternoon at Longwood Gardens, this was the ideal lunch stop. Arrived at 2:30 to find their grill was closed for the day. I opted for a chicken salad sandwich and it so hit the spot! I'm not here often but I always feel like family the moment I walk in the door. They just celebrated their 60 year anniversary so they must be doing something right!

We randomly found this place on our way to another event and I am glad that we did. When we walked in we were immediately greeted. Customer service 10/10. My husband got the cheesesteak with hot peppers and onions. He is not a spice guy, so the peppers were hot to him but overall the sandwich was a 8/10 . I had the Big Muff with mushrooms which was really good. The mushrooms were cooked perfectly. It feels like your are having a good meal with neighbors. If you are in the area you should definitely check them out.

Head over heels the best cheesesteak in the area. Meat was tender, well favored with the perfect amount of cheese. Over 60 years in business and it shows, my new go to spot, so good!!

Different Cheesesteak #892. I loved this place. Great little greasy spoon. They have a menu but I am pretty sure if Angela has it she will cook it for you. It was 9:30 am so I got a cheesesteak with eggs. $7.50. I Would have liked everything mixed and chopped together. But I am not complaining, I'll be going back!

I decided to check this place out due to Yelp Reviews. First tip - GPS directions don't work. This place is next to Sproul Lanes I came in at lunch to try breakfast which they served at noon. They don't serve potatoes which was a bummer but I tried the egg, cheese, mushroom and onions on a bagel. What an amazing treat. I ate it all and I'm debating on going back tomorrow :) The owner Bruce was very nice. He came up to me and starred talking to me on many different subjects. You don't get this type of service in a chain restaurant. I love shopping small. They only take cash but not a big deal since my tasty sandwich was only $4. The walls had a bunch of old papers and such (frames could use a dusting). It was neat looking at them. The place is set up with stools along each side of the wall and a long booth down the middle so no private seating. I can tell this place gets packed especially since they had a ton of people in the store at 1130 am on a Monday. Bruce told me about the cheesesteaks. I think I'll try that next. I'll be back with hubby and the kid. Can't wait for them to try the grub. Yum!

I placed my order, got my silverware and table number and sat down to wait for them to bring it out, very efficient way to do things. When my food arrived, an omelet with mushrooms, onions, sweet Italian sausage, and cheddar cheese, my eyes grew wide. Before digging in I popped a stray mushroom that was sitting on top of omelette before taking the photo. Immediately noticed the amount of flavor of the mushroom alone, it prompted me to ask if they were marinated, the chef/owner came out after I was done and said she takes baby bella mushrooms, cuts them up and sautees them in salt pepper garlic, "no cans here' she said and you can tell. Upon digging into the omelette I found it to be loaded with the ingredients I had chosen, even distribution, I mean just look at that cross section! The potatoes were seasoned well and delightfully crispy. Prices were more than fair for the quality. They definitely care, they definitely put out excellent food, and I think they'll definitely succeed, even with being in a tough spot parking wise...I'm local to Norwood but I'll gladly pay the meter every time if it means I get to enjoy more of the Good Vibes Only!

When I first stopped in here it was in a whim, and although they do have a selection of whimsical, sweet, dare I say, ridiculous and sweet coffee beverages, they were able to make me a traditional Italian macchiato. I had been unable to find a good, even passable REAL macchiato anywhere, and they delivered in spectacular fashion. Not only was the drink silky, strong, and small, it was made with outstanding Italian roasted espresso that has a different character than the standard, heavier-roasted American palate has come to be used to. This alone would have been enough for me to return time and time again when I was in the area, but after getting breakfast sandwich on a whim, this instantly became a weekly stop; more than that, a destination. Fast forward a few years and the initial attraction of coffee, sandwich, and friendly staff has transformed into a beautiful relationship where I can easily walk in, everyone knows me before I am all the way through the door, and even knowing my idiosyncrasies, are still excited to see me and listen to me prattle on about whatever might be the story of the day. The time spent here has given me the opportunity to try nearly everything on the menu and try every drink available. Including all the dry goods, pasta for sale, frozen trays of delicious Italian staples, and more. I am not one to just stick to the things I know I enjoy as I am always on a journey for something interesting and exciting, so whenever something shows up I am getting that rather than something in my "comfort zone". This has led to me traditionally losing interest or finding that the quality of a place declines for myself over time, especially multiple years. Not the case here at Napoletano, it has only done the exact opposite and gotten much more rewarding and somehow even more delicious and embracing of people and everyone who comes through the door. This brings me to my most recent food adventures into the menu here, the newest additions for the most part, the added amazing hoagie list. I have had two. The first I tried was the Gondolier, which I was enamored with for weeks. I had been there too early to order lunch time and time again, and then FINALLY, one day it was about time for lunch to be available and Michelle, the wonderful woman running the front of house and so much more, was able to get me this sandwich just a bit early. It had it all....outstanding bread, roasted red peppers, seriously premium meats, both standard deli and cured. However, something just missed the mark for me. I couldn't believe it. I don't know what and I don't know why. I was immediately disappointed, likely because I had hyped this up in my head for so long and I have come to expect so much from Napoletano, I simply couldn't believe that this wasn't the best hoagie I had ever enjoyed. That fact has eaten at me for at least a month now, but today that all changed, and is possibly why I finally found my voice to put all my thoughts together an write this after so many years. During my visit to say hello today, I realized it was once again right around the time where I could order sandwiches. I toyed with the thought of the cutlet sandwiches or even the Cuban which is amazing, but after going around and around and around talking to everyone working about this and that, I finally decided on another hoagie; the Sicilian. Kris, another of my favorite people along with Fanny (who was on vacation) helped me inch toward this one based on my description of my whole previous experience, and tbh is sandwich is so interestingly unique. Topped with lemon and orange zest, it doesn't sound like it would work, but once you take your first bite, you begin to examine your entire existence. Why have you never had a specialty Italian hoagie topped with citrus zest??? The question has been running through my head all day since lunch, and I still cannot understand why I haven't been enjoying something like this my entire life. So many years lost of amazing sandwich experiences.....this sandwich was so divine, despite looking slightly barren and strange, that it blew apart my entire disappointment I had been holding since the gondolier. I will absolutely try the other four in the list. I would have anyway, but this definitely took that mission off of life support and put it front and center. There are so many reasons to go to Napoletano. I could spend another thirty paragraphs writing about what is great about this place, the people, the drinks, the space, all of it. But instead of doing that, you should just go here. Even if you're not close, and enjoy!
