This is a small deli about 50 feet off Middletown Road. The service was good, and we had the chicken salad. It was pretty yum, but not a 5-star yum.

The name "Deli" it's not totally descriptive of this place. It's a breakfast and lunch restaurant where you can buy some items at the front counter and it does include some deli items like hoagies and salads. But I venture to say that most come here 90% of the times for breakfast and lunch because it's so worthwhile. it's a little cramped inside but the seating is comfortable and the outside although small is heated. If you coming on a weekend or be prepared to see a full parking lot but spots open up frequently. Just be kind and caring towards your fellow human beings while parking. you will get a spot but patience is key. Why? Because this place is great and it's worth the effort. I've been coming here over 10 years and every meal has always been great.

I got the scrapple, egg and cheese on a long roll. I loved it. Scrapple was cubed. Best decision I made in several years was to get a side of hash browns for $4.50. Red potatoes, hand sliced and grilled. I love this place and it's not a cheesesteak so I am going to use this as a learning moment. Guys, if you want to elevate your dating game from the corner bar and pick up lines like 'Did it hurt when you fell to earth, Angel?' Take your dates here.

Best breakfast!! I have been coming to Country Deli since I have been a kid. Amazing quality and quantity food for, especially for the price. Always get an iced tea and a peach special with potatoes on the weekends! Amazing staff too. Highly recommend.

The best deli of all time. The place is small and can hold many. Makes it very homey. Staff are all great.

A delicatessen with a pickle bar?! Count me in! A must visit destination for me when visiting one…read moreof my besties in Philly. I've been for breakfast, lunch and dinner through the years. Their challah French toast is something I often think fondly of! They've always been super friendly, and this location may be older but kept clean. I would not just return, but suggest others to stop by in they are visiting the area!

My partner had been to both Murray's Deli and Hymie's Deli in Ardmore. We wanted to have lunch…read moreafter an appointment, so I took a quick look on Yelp, and decided to go to Hymie's. It was packed - only a few tables were available at 12:30 on a Friday afternoon. We were immediately seated and looked over the menu. We decided to share a 1/2 Pastrami sandwich ( you can order 1/2 a sandwich ), 1/2 a Corned Beef sandwich, an order of Potato Latkes and we each had a small bowl of Chicken Matzo Ball soup. The soup was delicious - it was a little bowl with tiny shreds of carrots and chicken. The broth tasted very good, however, the matzo ball was a 'little' different. They were light and fluffy - but there was no texture or flavor at all....none. I would have thought the matzo balls would have absorbed some of the flavor from the soup, but it didn't. I finished the soup, but left the matzo ball. My partner likes pastrami over corned beef - she says it's a more 'peppery' flavor. While I probably prefer corned beef over pastrami because it's a leaner cut, my 'baseline' for pastrami is Katz's (NYC). I'm sure Katz's has great corned beef, but I've only had pastrami there - it's the best I've had. I thought my Corned Beef sandwich was excellent - it was lean, tender and very tasty. I squeeze out a little mound of mustard on my plate and dip. My partner thought her Pastrami sandwich was very good - it was also quite lean. I took a few bites of the pastrami, I thought my corned beef was tastier and had more texture. It almost seemed like they sliced the pastrami too thin. She liked her pastrami more than my corned beef - I suppose it's all a matter of individual taste. The Potato Latkes were delicious - especially with the applesauce! They were a little thicker than I might have preferred, possibly from either potato starch or matzo meal. However, there was a very nice potato taste and the thicker texture was fine. Of course, on the way out I saw a large selection of pasties and had to try a few! I got a few of the Rugelach and a Poppy Hamantash. The Rugelach were a disappointment - the interiors of all were very thick and doughy. I ate some of the exterior layers.....and left the rest. The Poppy Hamantash, on the other hand was one of the best I've had. It was by far the largest one I've ever had! As a result, there wasn't enough Mohn (poppy filling) for such a large pastry! The filling was very good as was the cookie (it was like 1/2 scone and 1/2 cookie)! Overall, Hymie's exceeded my expectations and I'll look forward to returning.

First time eating here and wasn't quite sure what to expect from this dining and deli spot…read more However, from the moment you step in you get a sense that things are done right and judging by the happy faces of the patrons we were excited to try the food. The menu includes lots of options not found elsewhere but we settled on the classic Benedict served on potato pancakes and the early bird special which was a deal. The poached eggs were perfect while the potato pancakes were a welcomed alternative to the usual English muffin pairing. The potato's that came with the scrambled eggs were fluffy inside, moist, and with a nice crisp exterior--hard to do and the best I've had hands down. The coffee is Ellis - William Penn which was very good. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient even though it got busy after we sat down. The restaurant is clean and modern yet feels homey at the same time--the cutlery is placed on the table in a small white paper bag which reminded me of a scene from the movie "As Good as it Gets" ---very cool. Good to know: seating is self serve with (plenty of) mostly booths and larger tables towards the back and breakfast is served all day!

On Sunday, July 25, 2026, the staff had a contest as to who could make the most authentic vomiting noise. This took place when a friend of mine was dining there. He said there was only himself and a few others. It was audible and disgusting. Even one of the older waitresses was participating in it. When he checked out, he complained to the desk clerk. The clerk told him to cool off or acted like it was nothing to complain about. The place is different since Marty died. I will not go there again. The staff should be fired for such a display of ignorance, disrespect and infantile behavior in front of customers. Sorry. It used to be a nice place to go.
