I needed movers and packers for my move from Dunedin to Orlando. I've moved quite a bit, and have always hated it. This time, was an exception. Huskies movers gave me a flat rate quote that included packing, supplies, the truck, gas, EVERYTHING. Rafael, the owner, was so nice and professional. I felt 100% comfortable with him and his crew. WOW, don't know how to start really. Worst of the worst ,low life lying scum. Don't even think of hiring these movers, you will wait on them for hours and nobody will call you ,if you try calling them it goes straight to voicemail. No matter what number you call it will be the same, no answer. Everything was fine the day before when comfirming for the next day. Worst moving experience I've had in over 10 moves. Set up appointment in late November for December 30th for 9am. Sent in my credit card info for a deposit and according to Sara I was all set. After not hearing from them on the 29th I myself called to confirm. I left a message but never heard back. On the 30th, 9am came and went so I tried to call them and left numerous messages. By 11am we texted Sara and were told she was no longer with the company. Still have yet to get a phone call back from the owner for any explanation. We are filing a claim with the better business bureau. From the sound of these reviews this guy is a horrible business owner and should not be trusted with your belongings!!! read more

The Good: Their price was comparable to other companies we checked out, and when we advised them that we found a slightly lower price, they matched it upon us providing written proof. Sara communicated with us often and provided lots of details. We liked that they gave us a flat rate (1/2 due upon reservation and 1/2 due upon drop-off of our items) with no hidden fees for time, mileage, etc. We also liked that it was a local company; so, our things would not be transferred to another truck or third-party company. Ken came by a few days early to do a walk-through with us and was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. When they were worked, they were quick, they came prepared with dollies, moving pads, and blankets, and you could tell they had experience with what they were doing. They also broke-down the beds and re-assembled them upon delivery. The Bad: They were extremely tardy; no, they were just LATE. Ken was 2 hours tardy coming to do our walk-through, and while we understood, again it was 2 hours late. On moving day, we were scheduled to move at 5:30pm, and they did not show up until over FOUR HOURS LATER at 9:40pm. At 5:30pm, we were sitting there ready to go. We gave them an hour before we contacted them because we know how rush hour traffic can be. At 6:30pm, I emailed Sara and asked what was going on since it was an hour late at that point, and we hadn't heard anything from them. At 6:35pm, she emailed me back and advised that she knew they might be a little late when she left the office at 5pm, but didn't think it would be that late. At 7:20pm, I emailed her back asking what was going on since I had not heard anything further by that point. At 7:30pm, she called us stating that the movers were on another job in North Clearwater and were headed toward us and should be to our place by no later than 8pm. I asked her if I should call her back at 8:15pm if they were not there, and she said yes but that she knew that they would be there. At 8:39pm, the driver called us and told us they were 15-18 minutes away. At 9:30pm, we still had not heard anything; so, I emailed Sara again, and a couple of minutes later the driver called to ask us the name of our apartment complex. They finally showed up at 9:40pm. There were 3 movers, and when they first walked in, not one of them even bothered to say a simple "I'm sorry" for their tardiness. They just gave us a clipboard of waiver information and said, "Sign here" and started carrying out boxes. By this point, I was so upset that I didn't think I could speak to them without crying or cursing, I told them to speak to my fiance. They didn't count the boxes until we asked them to, and after that point, they then started asking us about the fragile items, telling us about the moving pads, etc. At 11:30pm, they started taking out our dressers, and we noticed that they weren't shrink-wrapped even though we were advised several times that the dressers, bed, etc. would all be shrink-wrapped (it also says that in the initial email we received). When we asked them about it (because we had to ask them instead of them volunteering to tell us), they said that they were just going to just put some blankets on it. When we asked why since we had been told in writing that everything would be shrink-wrapped, they finally admitted that they ran out of shrink-wrap before they came to us. So, they knew they didn't have any when they arrived and said nothing to us for over 2 hours! The owner (Rafal) then calls and tells us that they they were going to have to stop what they were doing, drive to the warehouse, go get some shrink-wrap, and then come back to finish moving us. We finally agreed to have them just wrap the stuff in blankets and then they would re-wrap everything at their warehouse in the morning with the shrink wrap. On Friday, October 30, I emailed them again to confirm that everything had been shrink-wrapped as agreed and that the driver was on his way. I received the following response at 12:58pm, "Your items have been shrink wrapped, the driver is in fact en route to your NC home as we speak..." However, the driver (Ken) called me himself just a few minutes at 1pm and told me that he was just then in the process of packing up and wrapping our furniture before heading to NC in a bit. So, again, dishonesty - because there was no way he could be en route to NC at 12:58pm while still packing up and wrapping our furniture 2 minutes later at 1pm. We later found out he did not leave until about 3 hours later. When Ken arrived on Saturday, October 31, it was him and two other guys they hired from a temp service. They were awesome, but we observed that our furniture still had not been shrink-wrapped. This resulted in our dresser being scratched. Also, one of our lamps was broken. We were so disgusted that we did not even bother to contact them again because of all the dishonesty we had experienced. read more

Wishing that I had chose a different company to do my move! I used the Huskie movers because I was specifically told that they DIDN'T charge for drive time, turns out they do and it's rather expensive to go from one end of Hillsborough to the other in rush hour, $75 actually. Originally I was quoted $195 for two men and one truck, for the first two hours, with an hourly rate of $75 after that, it was supposed to take 2-3 hours, although I understand it sometimes takes longer, I've been through plenty of military moves, this move took three and half hours moving and an hour of driving. A third guy (the owner) asked to help with the move once we were at our destination for an extra $15 in order to finish within an hour rather then it taking them an extra two hours, at $75 each. When it came time to pay, he ran his total and added on $30 for his help at the new house and his "help" at the old house, which wasn't what he had agreed too, bringing my move total to $445! After the move I spent a week and a half trying to get in contact with the company, leaving multiple voices mails and text messages, I finally got a call back when I left a message to speak about the furniture they wanted us to donate to their cause rather then Salvation Army! Funny how that works. Sarah tried her best to help and put me in contact with the owner, who said "it is what it is!" And could care less that we were EXTREMELY dissatisfied at this point and wouldn't refund the money for their miscommunication ending our conversation with "it is what it is, my guys have to get paid!" Save your self the run around and the money, DON'T use this company. Hell I would have done a military move over again, instead of deal with the rude owner Rafal. I should have done the move myself using my toy hauler and it would have been cheaper, but I figured using a company would be more efficient... read more

The worst experience ever! I booked an appointment last week for this afternoon. When I contacted them for confirmation this morning, there is no response at all. I tried to call Rafal's number, their office number and contact them using thumbtack (yeah, I gave thumbtack a try). I have to book another moving company on the date I plan to move! I even expected them to show up on time, but two hours passed and no one appeared. They charged slight lower than other competitors, but just pay 30$ more to get a peace of mind. The Huskie Movers....a very phenomenal owner with a passion for doing the job right, extremely fast and without any hidden agenda. I hired Rafal to move from one building in my apartment complex to another. He showed up on time with Ken. Categorized what needs to go first and what would be easier, quicker and more time consuming within the first 5 minutes of entering my 2 bedroom apartment. He acknowledged his time before beginning his work and as I hired him for 2 hours only he made sure he didn't waste anytime doing what I hired him to do. We moved from a ground floor to a second floor apartment with a gun safe that weigh 400 pounds and tons of furniture. Without any proper equipment for the Safe, the individuals tackled the task of bringing my safe upstairs without a dent and that was bloody impressive. They made the task of moving look extremely painless. We didn't pack as we're suppose too but Rafal made us feel very stress free. They brought packaging tapes, pads, Drills, Drill bits and every thing you can possibly think off.he took our bed, dressers and dining table apart within less than 30 minutes. My wife was so thrilled at their efficiency that she requested that they stay another hour so they can reassemble the furniture at our new place, so we don't have to break our backs. I have never came across a better team of movers or individuals in service industry in my entire life as Rafal and Ken. This company is superb. Frequently things sound good but you end up disillusioned. This company only got better from my initial contact with Sarah to the end of the night. I was stressed, overwhelmed and exhausted with the moving process. I am also elderly and disabled. My daughter, whom I live with works and commutes an hour and a half away (thus the move) so was not home and I did most of the packing by myself. I was unable to get it all done so was not totally prepared on moving day. Three wonderful men, (Ted, Calvin, and Ned) arrived (a little earlier than originally scheduled) with very pleasant attitudes and informed me of every step. They told me to just relax and they would take care of everything. I sat in my recliner which they took last so I could just sit. They were like a tornado of dervishes packing what I hadn't. The were professional and extremely competent while being very kind and extremely pleasant. They made the entirely process stress free. The guys worked rapidly and apparently tirelessly not stopping until arriving at the new destination. Everything was set up, put into place and all in perfect order. read more
