The ice cream is really good -- not in a "this is fine" way, but in a "I need to slow down and actually pay attention to what I'm eating" way. The flavors are interesting without being weird, and everything tastes fresh and real. The person behind the counter actually talked me through a few options, asked what I was in the mood for, and nailed the recommendation. That almost never happens. Kids loved it here. Great customer service, charming inside that was very colorful and prideful. Guess Who? outside is fun even if your brother cheats! Molten Lava ice cream did not disappoint (on a waffle cone), A Penny Saved Sundae was wonderful (if you like cookie dough, which we do!), and our nephew chose straight up chocolate which he devoured. Let me just say that if you just want a simple scoop of ice cream, this isn't really the place to go to. If you want a unique mix of unusual ingredients in a shake or sundae, then yup, head on over. I agree with others that the menu was overly complicated and overwhelming. And for us with old eyes, the menu was far away and hard to read. We happened to come when there wasn't any one else in the store, so we didn't feel rushed, but I can imagine what it must be like with a crowd. The kids behind the counter did kinda take their sweet time (see what I did there?) making our orders. It seemed to take a long time considering we were the only ones there on a rainy, cold day. Best place to get a frozen treat in South Jersey. I've been there a dozen or more times since it opened , and had delivery another few times. Sometimes there's a line but it moves fast! This place is a wreck ! For starters nothing is simple. Every option has 5 additives . Sometimes you just want to have plain ice cream. I ordered a mix of butterfinger , biscoff and ice cream. They use a machine to Mix which turns the ice cream in to soup. It's not even hard soft formed and melted. The place is cluttered and messy. The equipment behind and the counters were not clean. This was a big no for me and one and done. The three people that worked there didn't really know the product . Their favorite answer was "I don't know how to describe it". Only 2 people behind the counter and there probably should be 3 or 4 because it takes a long time to put your order in and to get your order. Seating area is a bit cramped and uncomfortable but to be honest the Ice cream is worth the wait. Fix the service and this would easily be 5 stars. I don't blame the staff. I've tried so many Scoop locations and I'm so happy they finally moved out to Jersey. I was able to bring some sweet treats to my friend's house for a BBQ. The staff were so friendly, they helped me choose a bunch of goodies for the party. All were a hit! Especially the Scoopwich and the cookie overload cake cup. This spot is so fun! I've been wanting to try it for sometime and visit their Philly location so I was thrilled when I saw this new location closer to home. I think they've been opened some time now and were better staffed for a Saturday night with a good 5-6 people behind the counter to keep up with the line. The menu is extensive and they have so many clever creations from sundaes to soft serve to shakes and even some smoothies/açaí bowls! Other reviews seemed to view these options negatively but I really enjoyed the choices. They're definitely a pricier spot for ice cream but even the simpler items are still loaded with toppings so I felt I got my money's worth. If you're looking for a basic scoop of vanilla, maybe look elsewhere but if you're in the mood for a fun cleverly named treat (still laughing about "Parking Twix-et") then this is definitely a must try spot! read more

I don't love leaving negative reviews but $11 for a milkshake in this part of town is nuts. It was a tasty milkshake but I could get two at Primos for the same price. Service is whatever, fine, except the suggested tip amounts are wild, and exaggerated by the high price. 25% tip is like... sit down restaurant. I don't blame the worker but come on.
