It was just three tiny scoops... I'm not exaggerating... and LA has a much much more expensive cost of lyric than Jacksonville... I don't get it! Also, there was a handwritten sign up that said cash. I was the only person in the store at the time then that sign was removed after more people came in behind me ?? Also, I just wanted a large ( three scoops water ice cream.) And the first time when I had to pay cash, I was charged $11... Three scoops is supposed to be I believe $6.75 or something like that... The second time I went up, for a large to go, I ordered the same thing and asked for a large, the woman seemed confused so I asked for a grande, still confused, but Someone who spoke Spanish helped me, then she still tried to charge me again $11... I don't know where the disconnect is here? Anyway, I love this place, I'm guessing it's the same as the company that runs the stores in LA maybe a franchise or something I don't know... Brightly colored, fun and they always take pride in their snoballs. Don't tell anyone back home in Baltimore, but these are the best snoballs I've had. The ice is perfect and Skylite flavor just takes me back to my youth. I'm always amazed at the care they take to layer the flavor and the marshmallow topping. The crew there is always polite, eager to serve and great at what they do. Our dogs love the Pup Cups as well and they're a great deal. I highly recommend you give Pelican's a try. It's the perfect summer treat and nobody does it better.
