This ice cream shop is amazing. The service here is always so inviting. The owners work really hard providing so many options for customers. There is always a new flavor to try. Everyone is always happy. It's a great place to come and grab ice cream here. Ambiance is bright and cheerful.

Best thing about this place is travis! Dude is amazing! Had a house full of ppl yet he still treated everyone like it was their first visit. The smell was great! And the food was delicious

Gators has the most unique ice cream in Jax! We've tried Ube, Strawberry Dubai, Mango/Coconut sticky rice and the black sesame all AMAZING. Cone or Cup is large based on size, service is always friendly and quick and the ambiance is so cute with paper lanterns, ice cream cones etc. Only few tables inside for seating, but also a spot outside.

Sweet people! Soooo many choices. Small Place with a couple tables. Super casual sweat ice cream spot. All homeade. They even have alcohol infused ice cream! Sooo good.

My family loves ice cream and we are usually game to try new places. We were on this side of town and thought we'd give gator a try. This place was GREAT! Some very unique flavors. Japanese cheesecake ice cream, ube cheesecake, avocado, taro, and much much more. We tried several but the ube cheesecake was incredible! Smooth rich and delicious. The service was friendly and kind. A little slow but it's ice cream, you should never be in a hurry at an ice cream shop. The shop is small but there is seating inside. The decorations are great and there is a game in the corner that is great entertainment for the children. I'll be back to gators.

A tasty addition to this area! Audrey greeted us with a smile and enthusiastically answered all our questions. So many dairy free options, more than I've ever seen in any other creameries in town. The Ube Oreo and mango DF were delicious. Not icy or lacking flavor at all. My husband loved the Viet iced coffee and Jackfruit. Our son loved his chocolate ice cream too. Even his puppy give Gator Ice Cream two thumbs up!

This is a cute, clean ice cream place with a very diverse menu. The staff is very friendly and service was great. Unfortunately, they were sold out of their Dubai brownies so I settled on caramel crunch ice cream. It was delicious. They have a lot of flavors and many dairy free options. The waffle cone cookies are great. Many of the sundaes and treats are huge and definitely made for sharing. They do offer a "pup cup" if you bring your fur baby. Great addition to the neighborhood.

Finally tracked down the Dubai Pistachio Ice Cream and let's just say, this is pretty damn delicious. Pistachio Ice cream, kunafa crunch, and silky chocolate. It was perfect in every way. If you're in Lakewood, do yourself a favor.

I've always wanted to try Gator Ice cream but never made it out to their beach area location. I had banana cream pie ice cream. It had delicious flavor and consistency and lots of wafers and bananas mixed in. It was clear to see why people rave about it. Quality ingredients, tons of unique flavors and combinations. They are most famous for their Dubai Chocolate cup which I haven't tried. The location is convenient off of San Jose Blvd. I sat and talked with the gentleman who is friends with the owner and he was so kind and welcoming.

Travis is a nice dude. He gave me three taste tests and I settled on the regular cookie butter ice cream, which is the first time I've ever had it. We found you on google. It was our first time here. Travis did well, despite the long line. Outstanding service. The ambiance is eclectic with few tables inside and some outside.

The shop was completely empty when we arrived, so there was no reason for us to feel rushed. However, the employee hurried us through placing our orders. One person in our group was in the restroom and hadn't had a chance to decide what they wanted yet, and the employee was very short and impatient with us. When we asked to sample one of the ice cream flavors, she simply responded, "Okay," and came across as unfriendly and annoyed. While we were ordering, another customer came in, and we noticed the employee spoke to them with the same impatient attitude, so it didn't seem like it was just our group. The biggest issue came when the last person in our group ordered a sorbet. It was frozen so solid that it was impossible to scoop or eat. We let the employee know, and she said she would "soften it," which apparently meant microwaving it. She brought it back, but it was still hard as a rock and still wasn't edible. Unfortunately, the customer service overshadowed the visit. A friendly attitude and serving products that are ready to eat go a long way. We hope this location improves both its service and the quality of the experience for future customers.

My wife and I stopped by on a Saturday for a tour of the candy making facility, where we learned a lot about how the chocolates and other candies are made, and we were even able to design and enjoy our own custom chocolate bar. This place has everything that a fan of sweets and fun can enjoy - retro candy, a colorful environment, and enthusiastic staff. From our tour with Joy, our complimentary sea salt caramel from Barbara, everybody on staff provided a joyous afternoon. The tour is highly recommended, where you'll get to see how the product is made, and even get to see one of the original Golden tickets from the original Wonka movie. Pricing for the tour is very reasonable, and it's a great way to spend an afternoon. Parking was easy right around the corner from the front entrance. It felt like a lot of Indians with no clear chief. The tour starts in the chocolate room, gotta love that! Chocolate covered chips, cookies, marshmallows and fudge all around. The restaurant was filled with dirty tables, the bar was in disarray. The food portions looked small however at least it kept coming out! The owners family has been in the candy business for years and he still works there everyday, that's awesome! :)) I'm glad we checked it out. Thank you Sweet Petes! You can trust me, I am a candy eating American. ;D

I can't believe we've gone this long without trying Dreamette!…read more We were in the Springfield area for dinner and decided to walk around the neighborhood to admire the beautiful homes. Of course, we had to end the evening with ice cream, so we purposely made our way to Dreamette. The line was long, which is always a good sign, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The menu has so many tempting options that I had a hard time deciding. Thankfully, the wonderful Mari came to the rescue! I asked about their bread puddings, and she recommended the pecan bread pudding, telling me it's made fresh from Biscotti's (if I remember correctly). That was all I needed to hear. Even though I was completely stuffed from dinner, I somehow managed to eat every last bite. It was rich, warm, buttery, and absolutely decadent. My husband took Mari's recommendation and ordered a vanilla mix-in with cookie dough and waffle cone pieces blended throughout instead of just a waffle bowl. He loved it and said the blended waffle cone added the perfect crunch in every bite. Now I'm wondering where the closest Dreamette is to us because this definitely won't be our last visit! Trust me, the line may look long, but it's absolutely worth the wait. Tip: If you go, don't be afraid to ask for recommendations. Mari steered us toward two fantastic choices, and we couldn't have been happier.

We ordered the Brussel sprouts as an appetizer, they were phenomenal! Then we both decided on steak for dinner. I got the filet, and ordered it medium rare and it was perfect. I got the German chocolate cake (this apparently isn't their normal one) and my husband got the dulce cheesecake. The waitress we had was great, and she recommended lots of tips and favorites to try. The only negative thing that I would say is that it's a bit cramped, so it was very loud and hard to hear each other at points. This was an amazing dinner. We will be back

Our waiter, Evan, was very proactive & offered suggestions with menu items. We started with some cocktails, the gentlemen with the cider beer & an old fashioned. I chose a glass of bubbly & the birthday girl had the fizz cocktail. It was incredible with a fresh blackberry puree. We started with the fried green tomatoes & the calamari, both were delicious! Calamari was prepared well and not too chewy. We shockingly each chose a salad: the bistro steak, the chop chop Asian, the goat cheese, and the salmon. Each one was incredible. Mine was the chop chop and I absolutely loved it! It was HUGE and you can bet I ate every single bite. Loved it!' We finished with the brownie topped with ice cream for the birthday girl, it was extremely tasty! Thanks again to Evan for making our night! He was a fantastic waiter! Would absolutely request him in the future.
