One thing about Restaurant Depot is that they're the champion of low prices. They absolutely knock…read moreit out of the park when it comes to dry goods & paper products. I cut my costs by around 10% when I started coming here. However, shopping here can be tough. It's stimulus overload. It's loud, bright, & stressful. Oftentimes they are out of vital products & there's no reliable way to check beforehand if they have something or not. One time last summer they were out of 12oz plastic cups for weeks. The employees work hard. The forklift guys always make me laugh. I don't have anything negative to say about them at all. However, they seem to be chronically understaffed. They never have enough registers open to manage the flow of customers, & I've had to wait up to 30 minutes in line to check out. Maybe the checkout system needs to be updated? Like prior reviews have mentioned, going to Restaurant Depot is never a FUN experience. It's a necessity for restaurant owners. I'm thankful that this place exists, but I think it needs some updating & TLC. Misc: - Average trip to Restaurant Depot takes me ~90 minutes. - I wear headphones to cut out some of the noise. - Get a cart WITHOUT the top shelf. I've basically concussed myself multiple times on that shelf. It's not worth it. - Take your time in there. Crunch the numbers to see which products save you the most money. - Don't forget your membership card!

It's soooo poorly run and it's literally a free for all trying to check out! Watching people cut in front of you from all angles with no one having any idea which lane they are in makes my blood boil each and every time I am forced to go to this poop hole .

I have a funny little update for anyone who is interested:…read more In August, I bought a monstera deliciosa in a grower pot from Urban Greens for ~$16. I was siked with my purchase as it was. A healthy monstera (no bugs, no root rot, no distress, no disease) for under $20 is always a win in my book. Then I realized that there were probably at least a few individual plants within this one grower pot. I'm a green thumb but I'm also a very busy green thumb, so it took me an embarrassingly long time to get the proper soil for this project. I finally tackled the task of separating & repotting this plant this past weekend. You know those scarves that clowns pull out of questionable places that just keep going & going & going & going & going? & that's the whole bit? Well that was me with separating this monstera. I was the clown & the monstera was the scarf. Any guesses as to how many viable separate plants I divided the original into? My guess (prior to tackling this task) was ~8. The verdict: 20. That's right. I just kept separating more & more & more plants off of the original mama monstera until I had a comical pile of little lads in front of me. So anyways, now everyone I know is getting a baby monstera as a gift from me for any occasion for the next foreseeable future. I have 5 monsteras in pots & another army of monsteras propagating in water. Talk about bang for my buck. $16 for one monstera was already exciting but $16 for 20 monsteras? Unbelievable. Thanks, Urban Greens Market, for my army of monsteras!
