The food is very good and the service was welcoming too. I stopped at the India Kitchen last week for a quick dinner by myself. I ordered multiple dishes to take leftovers home. I tried the coconut chicken curry, samosa, plain naan and masala dosa. All the food was prepared while I waited and it wasn't long. Some of the dishes were served in paper plates like the rice and samosa. Others were in serving plates. I loved everything I had. Samosa was made perfectly with the right sauces on the side, chicken curry was not too spicy but had good flavor and the masala dosa tasted just like I remember it. The potatoes were cooked perfectly, they were soft and flavorful. I read one review that said the dosa is thick. It can be a little thinner yes but overall, the flavors were great. Place is very small with only about 4 tables. Bathroom was out of order at the time but the owner allowed me to at least wash my hands. Restaurant was a little warm so the AC needs to be cracked up a little bit. Overall, the food is what will make me return, especially since they serve Halal dishes :) read more

Tried paneer biryani at this restaurant for the first time. After specifically requesting to add more paneer I got exactly four pieces of paneer added to a vegetable biryani. It was a pickup so no much interaction other than what I requested which wasn't fulfilled. Ambiance is just ok. Despite all these whatever the vegetable biryani I got was pretty good. read more

Ordered India Kitchen on DoorDash the other day and was really impressed. They had a deal with DoorDash so we got a lot of food for a really reasonable price. The samosas were big and had a lot of filling, I really enjoyed them. We also got the Gulab Jamun, chicken koorma, and chicken tikka masala. I liked the Koorma, it was slightly sweet and had a really good flavor. The tikka masala was also delicious though. Last, I'm glad I tried the Gulab Jamun, I haven't had anything like that before and it had a good flavor. read more

This small restaurant has about four tables and offers counter service. I'm giving it four stars mainly because of the friendly customer service. When I arrived, a couple of women ordered dine-in, and their food looked great. I asked the counter server what they had, and he offered me a taste of the Chicken Pakora. It was hot and fresh, and I enjoyed it. That said, my experience with the butter chicken was disappointing. When I got it home, it smelled good but looked off. For $19, the portion was small, about the size of a to-go soup cup. It was brown with green specks, and I think I might have received the wrong order. I decided to try it anyway, but the chicken was cool in the middle and dry. The rice was lukewarm and dry as well. I could only eat one piece of chicken because it didn't taste fresh. It seemed like it had been made hours earlier and just reheated. The sauce wasn't great either. Overall, it was an unpleasant dish (see photo). Butter Chicken - has potential, just ok Rice - plain basmati with no flavor or aromatics, not good Naan - fresh and good Mango Lassi - just tasted like sour yogurt very little mango Keer - no wonder it was buy one get one free. This is a small cute little spot. I stopped by after a shift but the lunch deals look great! They only do dine-in for the lunch deals and I only get half hour. FYI that in the weekend they don't have lunch specials. I had goat dum biriyani for it was delicious, but unfortunately the goat was still chewy. This restaurant is a small business family owned which is great. I love that the family were working together in this restaurant either taking orders, preparing the food and clean the tables. I ordered for delivery. It definitely arrived cold and had been sitting around for a while. But despite that, the Gobi Manchurian tasted like a ball of flour. It was soggy and soft and mushy. . The dal was OK, although cold. And the dosa was soggy, wrapped up and wrinkled, fell apart when I opened it and was cold. They might be better in person, but the flavor once I had to heat it up in the microwave still wasn't much. I'm sad as I truly love Indian food, but this was meh. NEVER GO HERE. I am a vegetarian who doesn't eat meat and these people have mixed animal Bones in to the Vegetable curry that we ordered. I am so disappointed with their service for doing that. We ordered almost $60 worth and had left everything as although they refunded but I'm sick of this place. Have 0 trust on these people. Not worth any money and time at this place. Also I missed to mention that we ordered a Nan and they intentionally made something else instead of telling us that they don't have a cook that can make a NAN. We had delivery from this restaurant the other night and it was a mixed bag. The pakoras were strange and I got a bite of something so spicy that my mouth and lips burned for hours after. The naan was soft and fresh but bland and quite expensive (maybe because of a delivery premium?). The paneer tikka masala was tasty. read more

First to review -- YAY!!! We have been craving Indian and decided to try somewhere new close to us in Scottdale! This place did not disappoint! Small restaurant, with counter service. No more than 4-5 tables inside. We placed an order to go to try out a few dishes. Plain Dosa was Great! Aloo Ghobi was wonderful and very flavorful! Dal Curry was great - but watch out for the chili peppers in there it was quite spicy! Garlic naan - nothing to complain about! The staff is so polite and the restaurant is clean. My takeout order was packaged so well and carefully in a cute little paper bag with a handle and ready on time. A tried-and-true family run small business. The mysore masala dosa is excellent and comes with a few different chutney dipping sauces. The potato stuffing was good. The garlic naan was excellent. The chicken vindaloo was outstanding. The spice blend for the curry is very good here and has a tangy flavor. The food is not spicy (in terms of heat) so I would make sure to request that if you like it HOT! I really like that the food is not greasy or oily. It has a restaurant taste but homestyle quality. I am really glad that this restaurant opened and it will be my go-to take out option for Indian food. This probably isn't the best sit-down dining option since it is a small restaurant with counter service and a lot of people would be coming in for grabbing take-out orders which could be pretty distracting. read more

A couple of friends from church invited us out and suggested we find a local Indian restaurant. I Iooked here on Yelp and found this hidden gem! First, hidden because it's a small space tucked in between a Nail Salon and a Fed Ex Store. And by small, I mean like six tables. Clearly most of their business is takeout. Second, a gem, because I have not had such excellent Indian food since I left Chicago! This small operation, run by a couple of very friendly gentlemen, has a broad variety of Northern Indian, Southern Indian and Tandoori dishes. The vegetarian selection is massive and the flavors, are exquisite! If you are new to Indian quisine, the menu explains the contents of each dish, and the proprietor offered excellent advice relative to spice levels, etc. As there were 4 of us, and we like to sample different dishes we ordered Tandoori chicken Kabobs, Lamb Samosas (which came with Mint and Tamarind dipping sauces), Chicken Coconut Curry, Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, and finally I ordered the Indian Kitchen Special Goat Biryani which came with both a wonderful gravy and some yogurt to rescue us from some occasional excessive spiciness. Oh yes. And Garlic Naan and Butter Naan both of which were to DIE for! The portions were very generous. Each, I would say was larger than one person could comfortably eat at a sitting. Needless to say, we took lots, home. The Samosas were excellent! Crispy in the outside, luxurious on the inside, and not too spicy even for me. Our friends and my wife all enjoyed their chicken dishes, although when someone from India says they are "not very spicy" remember that their palats are a bit different from ours. My friends tried to steal my yoghurt, and there was plenty to go around. The highlight for me was the Goat Biryani. Served in a decorative bowl with rice, chunks of goat meat, spices and lime wedges, it was a wonderful blend of flavors. The goat meat fell off the bones it was so tender, and with the gravy, each bite was filled with dozens of flavors. I plan to finish it for lunch tomorrow! Then, as if these guys, weren't already kind and patient, at the end of the meal they brought out a couple of sample deserts: a really creamy rice pudding flavored with spices we would never think of in the US, and another dessert that I didn't get the name of, that was a Carmel color and the texture of a, soaked bread pudding! Both were amazing and I'll need yo order regular portions next time. This was one of those great evenings where you try something new and hope for the best, and it totally exceeds your expectations. Family-run, super yummy food and I can't wait to go back! My friend and I tried this place on a Sunday after church (they open at 11 am) and you must get the garlic naan. We were looking for an Indian place specifically nearby when I looked up the menu for this one; it looked really good so we gave it a try!! The flavors are all super fresh and vibrant, the dal curry is delicious and perfectly spiced! I wish they had a vegan bread like a roti or something similar, but the curry was incredible on its own. Best Indian food in the valley! This place was so impeccably clean and smells delicious as soon as you hit the door. It's so difficult to choose from the menu because everything looks so good.
