It was our first time here for all four of us and we were uncertain what to expect. Owner and chef Sunil Kumar's wife, Pushpa, was our server and she was fantastic in helping us select appetizers and entrees. I will not bore you with the details of everything we tasted. The veggie tempura was great, with two nice dips. My lamb with Goan Vindaloo sauce was wonderfully prepared and spicy. The other three very much enjoyed their dishes, each with a different sauce that we could try by dipping the naan (ordered separately). The night we dined, there was a nice Indian beer available that came in a large (2 glasses) bottle. We will most certainly be back. Went in for lunch and got their Lamb lunch thali. Every item was a disappointment except maybe the plain naan. Their base curry sauce was all bitter for both their lamb curries probably due to their onions. The kebab was dry rubbery and tasteless. Their pakora's were rendered bitter due to them burning their onion garnish and only they know what their sweet dish consisted of. +1 for being a mom-pops store. Came in yesterday for a nice dinner after Christmas shopping. Wow, their sit-in is so much better than their take out (and their takeout is really good). We came here to celebrate my husband's birthday. The service here was good, in fact the server had a good soup recommendation which turned out to be one of the only yummy things we ate. I ordered chicken tikka masala with medium spice and roti. The roti was good but the tikka masala was not only a zero spice level, but the cook must have forgotten the salt! It didn't taste like anything! If there wasn't chicken in it, I'd have returned it. Instead I thought, maybe it'll get better. Sadly it didn't. My husband ordered the yellow lentil soup which was delicious, and aloo gobi medium spice which also had no spice and no salt! Overall, it was such a terribly unsatisfying meal that wasn't super cheap, that we will never return. It's too bad really because it's close to home for us. read more

Family meal. Great, tasty food. Came during Diwali so they were busy. Our server was really rushed and that may be why we couldn't get a drink order or why he didn't bring some of the small extra things we had asked for. They have a very clean restaurant including clean bathrooms but they water down their soap. And there was a very unpleasant odor outside like sewer but I don't know how much of that they can control or where it was coming from. Most astonishing authentic Indian restaurant.l've ever eaten at. I was actully introduced to this exceptional Indian restaurant by a gentleman from India and it's interesting. There are scores of Indian restaurants all over the area. But this is where I see the people of Indian descent, enjoying an authentic meal. The chef could give a master class on how it's done. My eggplant bharta from Northern India was butsting with exotic flavors. My companion who is very familiar with indian food , was just delighted and even ordered extra entrees to take home and enjoy later. She told me she had eaten at Indian restaurants in Chicago, Kansas City and other major cities.And this was the best she had ever had , as well. Our waiter Abraham provided incredibly detailed descriptions of the food. How it was prepared, the spices that were used and the chef even came out after the meal to show us the astonishing collection of spices this restaurant uses. We had a question about two of the white wines and which was better , and they actually got a samples of both , i've never seen a staff that was so proactive If you love great Indian food. I had this for the first time tonight in my continued search for the best Indian food in Phoenix. I had the mutter masala, veggie, spice level medium (I always try new Indian places at the medium level to gauge the overall heat for future orders, and my husband had the curry with chicken. We also shared the potato naan and veggie samosas. I LOVED the flavor of his curry, absolutely loved the samosas (though oddly, they were served with chickpeas in several sauces so I'm not even certain we actually GOT samosas - whatever it was, it was delicious), and I loved the potato naan. My least favorite dish was actually my mutter masala (which is my go-to dish); it was a little bland and the medium spice was definitely leaning more toward mild. Will definitely be back, it was good and I'm excited to try other things on the menu. Notably, we ordered takeout through DoorDash so can't speak to the actual interior of the restaurant. read more

Our server helpfully explained things as we ordered and seemed nice, but later on I noticed our service was slow and sometimes lacking, I never got my water glass refilled after asking repeatedly. I think that this restaurant was definitely understaffed with only one server at lunchtime on this date (1/15), so I would blame the management rather than the server. They definitely needed to have 2 servers at lunchtime, considering the total number of people eating there then. The food, while tasty, was definitely too mildly spiced. Several in my group ordered food with a medium spice level, and we all agreed the seasoning was definitely way too mild. read more

Kicking off 2024 International Supper Club in January and we headed on over to Marigold Maison to start the year! Arrived on a Thursday evening and the place was busy, but we had reservations and were showed to our table pretty quickly. After checking out the menu I went chicken tikka masala and added an order of garlic naan bread. The chicken tikka masala was the perfect dish on this cool night, it was warm and rich in flavor. Beautiful murals give the place a nice South Asian ambience and even though the restaurant is relatively small, there is plenty of seating inside, with additional seating at the patio as well. The food was excellent, very flavorful and fresh tasting. Service was friendly and efficient. The slightly upscale nature of the place is reflected in the prices- not inexpensive, though not budget busting either. We ate at the Chicago location (North burbs) years ago and found this place since moving to AZ. Food: Overall very good, but the tandoori is suspect. We didnt see the typical tandoori marks and red crust on the chicken. So something is off. If they have one onsite, then they should post a pic of it. Rest of the food was good. Service: Very good and attentive. Overall: Worth a visit, but the prices are a bit off the chart. I know this is PV, but I can drive north on Tatum to Bell and have the same quality food, better tandoori for about 40% less. read more

Posting an update after getting takeout a couple of times now from Marigold Maison. They have a great easy to order online option for same day pickup or you can reserve for a later time. I've put in orders the day before and had no problems. Everything was ready and packed up for me when I got there! Contactless too ... you can pay ahead of time & pickup at the window out front. Happy to share that all the curries we've had have been really good. The Kashmiri Korma is still my favorite but we also liked the Tikka Masala, Mutter Masala, Saag Spinach, & Biryani. You can get things made with vegetables, paneer, chicken, shrimp, etc. and whatever spice level you want. Everything is customizable online. Overall, they've provided efficient service and we've been happy with the food. Only inconsistency seems to be their rice that comes with the dishes. Sometimes it is dry or overcooked but their naan is great. We'll definitely keep coming back! read more
