We usually get takeout from here but decided to try dining in for a change recently. On this visit we decided to order vegetable samosa, poori bhaji, garlic naan, chicken dum biryani, and the tandoori chicken. The only item that we hadn't previously tried from here before was the poori bhaji. It wasn't bad, the potato part was very good actually, maybe a bit saltier than we had expected if anything. It was the puffy bread part that we were thrown off by. We thought the puffy bread would be soft and doughy, but it was more flakey and crunchy. Our favorite dish on this visit was probably the chicken dum biryani. The chicken was tender and the chicken to rice ratio was generous. Overall, the service was fast but kind of aloof. There are plenty of seating options and the tables are spaced out far enough where you don't feel like you're intruding on your neighbor's conversations. One thing I appreciate about this place is that their spice levels aren't overly spicy. Their mild and medium are actually mild and medium. Dined in Wednesday evening around 6:30pm. Walked in an noticed the windows were very dirty. Inside there were boxes in customer booths like they needed to be opened and put away. Sat in a booth with my husband and ordered no problem. A family in the booth next to us was chatting and having a good time so assumed all was well. Next thing, one of the children in the booth next to us threw up over my husband's shoulder. About 10 minutes later their other child also threw up. My husband and I took our food to go. Are at home and 6 hours later, I threw up for 3 hours. Abdominal pain, diarrhea and hot sweats. This restaurant clearly has something going on where hygiene isn't a top priority. Do not eat here. I had a take out of paneer biryanis, gongura paneer biryani, paneer tikka masala, fried rice. Paneer biryani is decent, gongura biryani felt like just gongura rice, paneer tikka masala was very good and fried rice is way too oily and the most disliked dish among the order. I decide to try this spot since it was right next to my hotel and let me tell you I had really high hopes for the restaurant when I smelled the food walking through the parking lot there were quite a few ppl in there but honestly I was MID I don't think the flavors were there the butter chicken didn't taste like how butter chicken is supposed to taste the chicken lollipops had no flavor and same with the chicken 65 it just tasted like batter chicken with some red food coloring to make it look red. Food taste is pretty standard. The Naan and Tandoori platter are always very satisfying and delicious. The Mutton Dalcha with flavored rice fell really short. It isn't there best dish. Restrooms fail to meet hygienic standards and the sinks were dirty. Indian families children had taken there shoes off and sitting on sofas as if it's there bedroom space and running on them. I understand the owners can't do anything about these situations but some kind of discipline like a polite notice or something needs to be there. Everything was very fresh warm and tasted really good. Flavors were perfect. The spice level was absolutely right and loved the whole meal. The price is incredible for the quantity and quality. When staff saw that we did not like they removed the dish from the final bill by themselves. Shows how appreciative they are for your presence and how hard they try to keep things better. We were seated right before 1 pm on Mother's Day and unfortunately never got to try the food. After being seated, we waited nearly 15 minutes without anyone greeting us, offering water, or taking our order. The staff--all male--seemed to completely overlook our table, even though we were seated in the middle of the dining room. Meanwhile, other tables around us were promptly served, including an Indian family who arrived at least 20 minutes after us and received all of their food (including the same naan dish we ordered) well before we were even acknowledged. My husband eventually had to flag someone down just to be noticed. As an East Asian woman dining with my South Asian husband and biracial child, I couldn't shake the feeling that our treatment may have been racially motivated. We were the only visibly East and South Asian family in the restaurant, and the contrast in service was hard to ignore. I left feeling unseen, disrespected, discriminated against, and frankly, hurt. Whether it was intentional or unconscious bias, the experience left a lasting impression--and not a good one. We will not be returning to this location or any other in the chain. read more

Great food, friendly service and a clean restaurant. Hyderabad House was recommended by family and it did not disappoint. We ordered multiple dishes mostly to share including samosas. Puri bhaji, okra masala, chicken korma as well as beef tikka masala. I also ordered a mango lassi. The curries were served with white rice and the samosas came with dipping sauces. We also ordered some plain naan as well as garlic naans. I didn't try all the dishes but I tried the samosa which was very good, the puri bhaji needed salt and didn't have a lot of flavor, the chicken korma was really good and the okra masala had good flavor but had a lot of sauce and very little okra. The rice was not broken, it was fresh and fluffy (something that's been disappointing me in most Indian restaurants is the rice, always reheated and broken). The naans were fresh and tasted very good with our food. The mango lassi could have been sweeter. I think the type of mango used makes a huge difference with the taste. I'm used to alfonso mangos which have a distinctive sweet delicious taste and I don't think many restaurants use it here. I didn't see the final bill however the dishes were anywhere between $11-$16. Each dish is good for only one person so the portions are not big. For every two curries, we got one plate of rice to share. That's not bad but I prefer more rice with my food. The menu is extensive here. They have dosas which I miss very much and would love to try soon. Overall, the experience was very good and the food had great flavor. We will be returning and will try the Chandler branch also soon. Definitely recommend trying it! read more

The naan is sooo authentic.. you can tell it's made in a tandoor (the authentic clay ovens middle easterns and East Indians make bread in) bc of the natural char spots and the recipe... I've had so many dishes here, from the paneer,. To biryani, to chicken tandoori, chicken masala, Manchurian styles, chole bhatura w the puffed bread is one of my ALL TIME favs!!! So why 2 stars and not three or four ? Well I found the staff to be super unfriendly and unwelcoming, they never checked on us or refilled our waters. The malai kebab was really good, served on a sizzler. The naan was excellent - ask for extra crispy. While our curries were well made and the chicken and paneer were soft, the curries themselves were sweeter than they should have been. So disappointed lately with the food quality! Asked for mild spice level and that was not taken into consideration. The worst of this experience was the Malai kofta which was inedible due to excessive amounts of salt!! This is so basic, how can any chef make such an error in judgment and over salt an entree is beyond comprehension. This is the second time I've eaten at this place. I got to go on the day before Thanksgiving. The first time I had given it a pass. The food was really lackluster, mild food was really tasteless. I don't expect it to be tasteless just not spicy. Kids said the garlic nut didn't even taste good. We had butter chicken, which was pretty ordinary and tasted too much of tomato. We had saag paneer which had very little spinach and was quite watery. The Malai Kofta were OK. Service was adequate, but they were definitely not gonna open up early even though I was sitting outside and they clearly weren't doing anything. Typical of many Indian restaurants. I thought the inside of the restaurant was pretty ordinary otherwise he mentioned I took to go.
