Nadu Phoenix at Desert Ridge Marketplace (21001 N. Tatum Blva, Phoenix) is an upscale, Michelin-recognized regional Indian concept brought by the team behind Feringhee and acclaimed chef Chintan Sarkar (from Chicago my town.) Not fully plant based but like all Indian cuisine very plant-forward traditional plates, though vegans must navigate dairy and ghee usage with staff. The service was a little overwhelming for our server. Hopefully with time will get better. It's pretty place but little to packed .

This spot was incredibly delicious. Not only was the atmosphere in the restaurant incredibly beautiful, the service and the attention to food and detail was phenomenal. This is such a great spot to bring friends, family or for a fun date night. As an Indian, the taste and flavors of the food exceed my expectations. Everything was incredibly flavorful and the spot is definitely worth checking out!

Went for a friend's birthday and the food, drinks, and service had us celebrating! The marigold cocktail was smooth and not too sweet. We ordered every starter and the entire group voted the eggplant #1. The lamb, goat, fish were the top 3 for entrees. The service get 5stars also. They were packed on a Thursday night and the people were taking their time so no tables were available for all the 7pm reservations but the hostess and manager handled it perfectly. Our waiter Patrick was wonderful and helped make the birthday special with his unique birthday song.

As an Indian myself, I was excited to have a new Indian restaurant in the area. We arrived right at 5pm and were the first party to be seated for the dinner service. The vibes inside were stellar and the service was even better. Our waiter, Phil, and the busboy, Jonathan, were hilarious and so fun and funny. We felt like we were being served by friends who really wanted us to have the absolute best experience. Phil even exchanged a couple cocktails that we didn't like and never made us feel like we were asking too much. He did get quite busy an hour or two into our dinner service and got caught up with other tables for extended periods of time, but we were less critical of that given how great he was and he also mentioned that the kitchen was very backed up because of the busyness. Almost all of the tables except for a few were occupied by Indians, which was great to see. I'm eager to see how people like this place as time goes on. I'm sad to say I didn't really like the food. The Paneer Ghotala just tasted like congealed cheese with bits of other things in it, and the Ladi pav bread served with it tasted dense and bland. The Kholkata Prawn Cutlet came with three fried shrimp that weren't crispy, hot, or seasoned and with a mustard aioli dipping sauce that was nothing special. The Oyster Mushroom Kebab was presented beautifully, but all I could taste was the chili oil and none of the other flavors or spices listed on the menu. The Murgh Makhani (butter chicken) is a good barometer of food quality at any western Indian restaurant. Theirs basically tasted like a thicker tomato soup. It lacked flavor and nuance. Phil told us it was a 4/10 western spicy, but it had no spice at all. The garlic naan was not as fluffy or buttery as I would have liked. We tried every single house cocktail on the menu: Phool, Chai, Khubani, Aam, Khus-Root-Tini, Haldi, and Kapi. The Khus-Root-Tini, Haldi, and Kapi were the best. Drink presentation was incredible. I did not like the mango rasmalai because, while it was beautifully presented, it tasted nothing like traditional rasmalai which is my all-time favorite Indian dessert. Their version was crunchy and dry, whereas traditional rasmalai is soft and wet. I did enjoy the mango and tamarind sorbet though.

So excited to have an Indian restaurant, and one that is going to be high calibre. They just opened so menu was limited and I was just having a late lunch but everything was very good. I'll order differently next time to get more of the experience and full Indian flavor but I can tell it's going to be great. Very nice setting, friendly staff. I'll definitely be back!

What a fantastic restaurant! We have missed good Indian food and now have our "go to". Fresh and creative! Highly recommend.

Very different experience than going to a typical Indian restaurant. The menu is a melting point of various regional cuisines of India which makes this place so different and sought after. Food and service was 5 stars.

I visited NADU two days after their grand opening, and you would have thought they had been open for months. Our experience was flawless from the impeccable details of the stunning restaurant interior, the service, and flavors of every dish. I went into NADU with very little knowledge of Indian cuisine, and the experience here blew us all away. Our server guided us through the menu, explained every dish in detail, and never failed to steer us wrong. As a foodie, I try new restaurants all the time and my dining experience at NADU was one of the best in Phoenix. This spot made the Michelin Guide for good reason! The meat was so tender, sauces were full of flavor, and textures were out of this world. The presentation of every dish exceeded our expectations. The cocktails were unique and well balanced. This is definitely a fantastic spot to try whether you are new to Indian food like me, or a pro. Desert Ridge Marketplace really did great with this one. Some standouts dishes: ROASTED EGGPLANT BHARTA KOLKATA PRAWN CATER ASLAM CHICKEN TIKKA MURGH MAKHANI

Lamb keema masala with pav bread

Amazing ambiance, authentic Indian food and what a great team led by Chef Pujan Sarkar to bring this all together. The Lamb Keema Masala took me back to the streets of Mumbai. The Garlic naan and Champaran Mutton Curry were very delicious and different from anything we've ever eaten at another Indian restaurant. This was a class of its own. He especially crafted vegan coconut and mango desserts for us which were outstanding and the best we've ever had. Looking forward to what they bring new to the menu next!

Everything is clean and well-kept, bathrooms included. The chicken tikka masala is phenomenal--tender chicken in a perfectly spiced, flavor-packed sauce. The vegetable samosas are some of the best I've ever had, especially with their mint chutney, which deserves its own round of applause. I got a little excited and ate one samosa before remembering I needed a picture. Thankfully, I saved one for Yelp. And the garlic naan?! Crispy around the edges, soft and perfectly chewy, loaded with garlic and cilantro. I actually ate the leftovers the NEXT DAY. If you know me, that carries significant weight because I do not do leftovers. I literally carried that naan around until every last piece was gone. The people running the restaurant are incredibly kind and welcoming, and the service has been wonderful both visits. I've tried a LOT of Indian food, and this is easily one of my favorites. Anytime I'm back in Scottsdale, I'm coming back. The naan and mint chutney alone have secured my return.

So much so that I will be going to other restaurants from now on. Also, I did not receive the naan in my to go bag that I ordered and paid for. Sorry! I wanted to love it.

Pair it with their garlic naan a couple of gulab jamuns for dessert and I am in heaven. We've also tried the Chicken 65, which leans more toward a chatpata chicken but it's delicious and a great bar snack/app. I'd definitely recommend ordering it during happy hour. The wine selection is just okay, and while the Butter Chicken and Tandoori Chicken were decent, they weren't particularly memorable. The ambiance is a little dark and feels slightly dated, but since I mostly order takeout, it doesn't bother me much. Overall, if you order one thing from Peacock, make it the Dal Makhni. Trust me you won't regret it.

I wish I would have did beef because the green peas in the vege samosa threw me for a loop and I did not enjoy it. For our main course, we opted for the mutton biryani and lamb korma both medium heat. The flavors of the mutton biryani was not quite to my liking, but the lamb korma was not too bad. The lamb korma was better heated up the next day. I did enjoy the mango chutney as a little sweet flavoring with my meal, but not so much enjoy the garlic naan. Bestie and I both decided that the mango lassi was very very tasty. The lassi he had the right hint of sweetness and mango flavor.
