Stopped here for lunch to kill sometime while my mom was at the rheumatology center getting infusions. Our server Camryn was a sweetheart. She told us we could stay as long as we needed to at our table. My dad was so stressed out that we were taking up her table for a long time, even though there were several tables around us. I told him to stop worrying. My dad had the onion soup which Camryn said was phenomenal. My dad had to agree with her, he enjoyed it very much. He also had the MaGerk's salad, which was really yummy, full of Craisins,, and blue cheese crumbles. I ordered the pork roast sandwich, which was quite yummy. I could've drank the au jus that came with it. Next time we are here for my mom's infusion we will definitely stop by again. read more

Came in for lunch. The place was not too crowded it was 1215pm on a Tuesday. It is a sports bar with a large bar and tables both inside and out. I ordered a turkey club it was very good exactly as ordered we also got a few draft beers a Broad Street lager. It was served in a 250 year anniversary pint glass that was very attractive. I order a burger and when it can out it had this tiny bun. My wife and the others I was with said that it looked like a slider bun. We called the server over and ask what was this and she yes '" oh yea I thought it was wrong and asked and was told that they ran out of buns." It would have been nice if they came out to me and asked if it was ok to have this tiny bun on my burger. But instead they opted to see if I would complain. The latest sports bar entrant in the restaurant wars happening in Newtown and the surrounding area (Middletown). Large space, high ceilings, outdoor patio and likely the largest rectangular bar around these parts. An army of service personnel, friendly, attractive and well trained. If you're about Philly sports, lots of sudsy drinks and fairly typical bar menu, Magerk's Pub & Grill could be your jam. On a late Saturday afternoon the joint was jammed and several decibels above comfortable. We were there to eat and catch the end of the NFL Draft and Phillies game. Fifty (50) minute wait for seating with good mobile tech to keep us informed. We recognized many faces and even chatted with a few folks as we waited. The energy was exuberant from both the novelty of a new hangout in the hood and the free flow from the bar. Au votre sante! We were seated closer to 30 minutes; a pleasant surprise. Ordered an IPA from a local brewery and Twisted Tea Light for the fella who really doesn't love fermented hops. The menu offered a Magerk Smash Burger w Chips for the lad and Chicken Cheesesteak Hoagie Style with side o' fries for the old man. This was where the house lost points with us. Young man was happy with his burger, but not enthusiastic. Somehow, a bag of chips on the platter made it seem this was a take out order rather than a moderately costly sit down. The Chicken Cheesesteak was another story entirely. First, the order came out wrong as a plain beef cheesesteak and had to be redone for 15 minutes. When the right platter arrived and I shoveled in the first bite of the overstuffed sandwich, I found the cheese overwhelmed it with a salty, industrial grade cheese-like sauce. There was more of this gloop than chicken, but it was so mixed together, rather than layered, that it reminded of high school cafeteria tetrazzini. Wrong texture. Wrong consistency. Wrong taste. Wrong roll. A total fail. I ate half hoping the flavor would somehow improve, but it didn't. Took the rest home for disposal. It is obvious Magerk's will succeed here, but no thanks to their concept of cheesesteaks, nor their acoustics control. 2.5 Salty Stars read more

Ive been to the MaGerk's in warminster. Both places have great food and fast service. We arrived very late, like close to 10pm. I was shocked they still had their full menu available. What an awesome addition to the Bucks County, Langhorne/Newtown area!!! It has such a home town vibe!!! I was there with a group on opening night. Everything ran so smoothly! Very nice menu and the food was delicious!! My husband and I shared the Mediterranean Board and it was very good. I had the Chicken Magerk with a side salad. The roll was awesome and the whole sandwich overall was delicious. My husband had the Magerk Smash and said it was the best hamburger he has had. I met the owners on opening night and they were so so nice. The service was great. We will definitely be back and going often. I definitely recommend this restaurant!!! read more

My husband and I wanted to do a chicken cheesesteak tasting from our local restaurants. We ordered chicken cheesesteak with mushrooms to go from three places and brought them home for the tasting. All were similarly priced. MaGerks was overfilled with the meat, cheese and mushrooms. We took some off and made another sandwich with a roll we had at home. Next time we would ask for it to be light on the cheese. It also came with a small bag of potato chips and a firm pickle. We think this might be the best out of the three if less cheese. Clubhouse cheesesteak is a go to for us. It is consistently delicious. We had a choice of fries, chips or coleslaw and we went with the chips plus there a few pickle slices. Francesco's cheesesteak was good but it had a different chicken taste. It came a la carte and was noticeably smaller. The bread wasn't as good either. This was our least favorite. We definitely will be going back to MaGerks to try other dishes as well. read more

Amazing experience. The number of TVs and the decor are mind blowing how awesome it is. You have to see it to believe it. We had a party of 16 to celebrate my nephew's bday and our waiter named Woda was absolutely fantastic. Don't even look at the menu. Order the 1 pound cheesesteak and call it a day. Service by Janae was incredible. She always was there when needed & did the little things that frustrate us at other places. Janae ensured we had plates for our apps, plenty of napkins, water refills, cleared dirty dishes timely, and won a gold medal when we ordered a sandwich to split it was brought out on 2 separate plates. I decided to go back and give these guys another chance, ordering something different. Decor is still the same - blah. It's a sports bar, no big deal. I ordered a cheesesteak pounder (16 oz of meat, which they claimed was shaved ribeye, plus cooper cheese and fried onions) Not sure whether it was ribeye, but it was tasty and large, and they added, per my request, some spinach. Delicious. I also ordered fries with old bay spice and cheese dip. Very good, but the spice was a bit on the heavy-handed side. Definitely a better experience than my first visit, and I'm learning as I go - not all is ideal here, but they have good offerings, good waitstaff, and a good beer selection. The restaurant is nestled In a neighborhood plaza in langhorn. Its spacious sports bar pretty clean and well lit. The beer selection was average. I had the southwest chicken quesadillas, as well as the shrimp tacos. My wife had the crab cake and cream of crab. The quesadillas, we're a very good size and had a really good flavor and consistency. I definitely recommend them. It comes with guacamole, sour cream and salsa on the side.Typical for this dish. The shrimp tacos weren't really that good. They used fried shrimp and some sort of cilantro lime sauce. It wasn't flavorful. Sort of blend with little good seasoning. They would have been better off, not frying the shrimp. My wife's crab cake was more of lump crab meat in the ball.Rather than your traditional crab cake. She says she did like it though it only came with one lump. She really enjoyed the cream of crab. This place is probably a good place to hang out for sports but tacos definitely left me regretting my order amd it only came with two so I felt kind slighted especially since it was the main dish. read more

Another restaurant in Newtown!!! Ha! But...such a nice addition to the Newtown area (Langhorne address). The kinda pub that you can go to quite often without breaking the bank. They apparently opened last Thursday night (3/13/25). Rennovated two stores and added an outside patio. Two of us stopped in for lunch today and it truly is a winner already. Checks every box...delicious and generous sandwiches, excellent and friendly service, nice atmosphere, and very reasonable prices. (Thank you Sam for being a great server). My chicken steak sandwich was full of tasty and well seasoned shredded chicken. Fries done just right. Hubby enjoyed his club sandwich in spite of the turkey being ice cold. I already know what I'm going to order next time...the cauliflower flatbread pizza. Martinis at the next table looked so good. Maybe next I will try one as well. I never have issues with dairy but I left with a stomach ache. Portion size for the nachos was huge- definitely enough for 4 of 5 people to nosh on while watching a game! Cheesesteak was one of the better options in newtown, which isn't saying a lot, but better than average. We will definitely be back for a Phillies game to sample other menu items. It was cooked great nice portion, however the cauliflower side and cilantro options weren't the best. Could have easily gave it a 9 if served with rice & teriyaki sauce (my entire family 100% agree on this). Mac & cheese without the peppers (child ate it) giving a 6. Bacon was a nice touch. Ckn cutlet seeded roll 7, needed more balsamic through the sandwich (not just poured on top) could have been higher rating because of this. Bay Fries 8, maybe little lighter on seasoning. I loved the Horsham MaGerk's and was looking forward to this one opening by us but not sure they were ready...Went there this past Saturday to enjoy some food, drinks and Phillies and it took 20 minutes to get our drinks, got our food order totally wrong and then was told they had no white wine at all on a Saturday at 4:30 with a liquor store right down the block!!
