Had wonderful service Saturday morning at iron oven. Friendly young man waited on us and who on his own separated the breakfast sandwich we had planned on share He was attentive and polite. The guacamole breakfast sandwich was delicious. The bread was crispy and buttery with a great flavoring combo of avocado, egg, bacon and cheese - we switched out the Swiss for cheddar. I was not a fan of the potatoes due to the peppers mixed in but that's a me issue not the place. The breakfast sampler was huge. I'm sorry they don't offer it in a large and small size as we ended up wasting so much of it. We ordered the eggs scrambled and they had a great flavor to them. Plenty of bacon. This french onion soup changed my life. I've seen this soup from here on TikTok but have never gotten it here before, even though Iron Oven is one of the most consistent restaurants near me. The crispy onion straws on top were to die for and the soup was such a good size. Cheesy, flavorful, and the bread inside was delicious. I got the chicken caesar wrap as my main, which unfortunately I don't have a picture of because I was starving. It was stuffed to the brim and tasted fresh. Was so looking forward to getting here after the tiktok videos and reviews. Service was good at what appeared to be a busy time. We did ask for separate checks but that was forgotten by the end of the meal. I and another member of my party ordered the french onion soup. It was okay. We both felt like the onion straws were not fresh, flavor was good. I liked the amount of cheese in the soup but my tablemate felt it was too much. We probably wouldn't order it again. We enjoy our appetizers and the list was impressive! We got the cheesesteak eggrolls, they were great, not impressed with the dipping sauce, but that's okay. My tablemate got the bang bang shrimp and felt that the shrimp was overcooked terribly. The Pig Shots were soooo good. I would definitely order those again! The most disappointing thing was the Garlic Parm Cheese bombs. The breading was way too heavy. The sauce was good so we used that for other things. Wished we had have just ordered the mozz sticks. The short rib pierogies were very good, would definitely order those again! We ordered a cheeseburger well done, it was well done but dry. Decided to come here (I am not local to this restaurant) with two friends back in mid-November. It was packed (which I anticipated for a Saturday early evening)! Server was attentive to the point of being intrusive - I guess it could be worse, right? Loud environment (they were busy, but I never love this when on a date.) The food I got was tragic, in a good way - a very tasty meal with rice, asparagus, truffle, and steak. I asked that it be done medium rare, and they cooked the meat well-done. It could have been perfect but because of a simple failure in technique it was far from perfect. I said nothing because generally speaking I feel that it's bad form to bitch about things on a date. Last minute decision to grab dinner, just me and my husband since our kids were all busy with work, band, etc. saw a post about the French onion soup here and came to try this place because of it. Yes, the French onion soup is a 5/5, great broth, and love the fried onions on top. We had Stromboli and the fried potato skins as well, both were good. It was a Friday night, so decided to get a drink from their very fun looking drink menu, and I admit i an espresso martini snob and it was amazing here! Another 5/5! Vibe is friendly, neighborly. Iron oven is one of our favorite local spots! Never had a bad meal, everything is always delicious. There is typically a wait because it's always packed, so be prepared for that. They do have a bar you can grab a drink at though while you wait. Tonight we got the seasonal special drinks, fried vodka Mac and cheese balls, the buffalo chicken Caesar wrap December special and the grilled chicken sandwich. It didn't disappoint! There were a lot of interesting options to choose from on the menu, but an easy choice was the fried mac and cheese balls appetizer. Definitely a great choice especially with the vodka sauce it was served with. I wasn't super hungry so I went with the loaded pierogies appetizer for my meal which was 5 pierogies covered in au jus and short rib meat then covered with cheese and baked in a crock. I didnt enjoy them as much as I had hoped, they were a bit too soupy for my liking. The buffalo chicken stromboli that my husband got was good. The "mini" was the side of a football so that left extra to bring home. It was a busy Saturday evening with lots of small parties so it was a bit noisy but our waiter was great and so were the rest of the staff. What a pleasant surprise! This was just one of those places that we passed all the time and never really made the time to go in, all that changed on a rando and now it's added to our go to restaurants. The first thing I noticed was how packed the place was, that had me a little worried but we were seated and greeted in no time. Our waitress Kaylee was on her second day, and as it was our first time, it was a perfect match. Do not sleep on the appetizers here! Admittedly I'm not usually the drinks and appetizers kind of guy but I was out with some friends and social convention dictated I try some, boy and I glad. We had the thanksgiving egg rolls, and honey maple bacon wings (I'd never thought to put all those words in a sentence of any kind but they were the truth). Met a friend here for a bite to eat and a cold drink. Needless to say the cold ones were perfect temperature and refreshing. The chicken wings were massive and the house made buffalo sauce didn't disappoint. We then each got a Philly cheese steak which was the best I had while in the area. The chicken was extremely dry, the breading was soggy, the vodka sauce was so thick I thought I was eating tomato paste out of a can. I did like the roll though, and that was basically all I ate from that sandwich. I should have gotten the cheese steak as I did enjoy the egg roll beef and the roll from the disappointing cutlet sandwich. If I ever go back, I will try that. So yesterday we celebrated my Mama's 85th birthday at The Iron Oven. We were seated in a great area with plenty of room for our party about 14. Not only did the staff (a nice gentleman with glasses) assist with moving tables for my mother's wheelchair to get through so did the other patrons. They actually slid their tables over so it could fit. I found it absolutely amazing. (Thank you) I thought we may have had a problem fitting by. We had an amazing server Lindsay whom I happened to know but had no clue she worked there. She was super attentive, kept the beverage glasses full and always asked if everything was okay! We had a couple hiccups that were minimal and were corrected with no hassle. A dish had to be made again because of a GF dish and kitchen misunderstanding but it was corrected with no issue and several apologies from a woman who checked to make sure all was well. She was super sweet as well as a gentleman who also gave us the original prepared dish to take home for anyone in the party which was kind. I really wish I had gotten names as I'd like to name them here. Again the staff really aimed to please and were super attentive. The food was good which we already knew it would be we have dined here several times. Some of us had burgers, cheesesteaks, nachos, wings, mozzarella sticks and the tuna tare tare to name a few and all were yummy! I brought cupcakes to which Lindsay asked if I wanted them (several servers) to sing with us I said sure, MOM said NO lol. We did it anyway LOL. We have been a loyal customers for years, but I felt compelled to reach out and share a review following our recent visit on Tuesday. We stopped by for happy hour and decided to sit at the bar rather than in the dining room. We found the bar staff and menu to be excellent, with both the drinks and appetizers very reasonably priced. After seeing a social media reel about the Iron Oven Cheesesteak, we decided to share one, and it was outstanding. The large in house freshly baked, toasted, seeded roll was fantastic, and the generous portion of steak made every bite delicious. Plenty of staff here and our server was perfect throughout the meal. On to the food: we were really torn between going the sandwich route or the pizza/calzone route. The menu here is loaded with great choices. Here's what we opted for: some wings, French onion soup, the cheesesteak and a pierogi bowl. They were OK not great kind of dry kinda chewy kinda like won't get them again. I had the chicken and orzo soup, and was quite surprised that the fresh kale and the fresh chicken, and the overall flavor of the broth, especially on this cold evening, and I followed up with one of the new appetizer menu items, the stuffed figs, which were very unexpected, and very good flavor .
