He will call you shortly. My ride filled up before Kambry could call you but she should have called yesterday and told you immediately. Jeff I asked Okay does the time change? Jeff said I'm not sure but he will call you shortly and you can work that out. NO ONE CALLED. SO AT 9:34 I said It's 9:30 I haven't heard from anyone. That's not a good look Jeff responded This ride isn't going to work. Do whatever it was that you were planning to do tomorrow before you called yesterday last minute to try and schedule a ride with us this weekend. The first time we came last year, they gave me the shortest horse because I was the shortest rider there! I rode Ziggy, and I was already attached. He's so cute-- I am a big David Bowie fan, so I have nicknamed him,"Mr. Stardust" LOL The first time we came, it had been some years since I had ridden a horse, and the same for the boyfriend. We did the easy walking trail ride-- this year we did the intermediate trotting trail and I asked to ride Ziggy again-- what can I say, I love him.. Although we were initially nervous for reservation cancellations due to the rain and being pushed back a day, they still had great communication as to whether or not we'd be able to have our trail ride. The respond via text message-- so be aware that if you call, they might not answer. The only time they DO call is when you're booking the reservation. It had been raining on and off and so they said the first time they were checking our specific trail, was when we were actually on it. We didn't get to trot as much as I wanted, but it was a little squishy in some areas. The staff is friendly and even take your photo at the end! My thing is that it is very hard to hear them talk when you're on the trail ride. It would be beneficial for them to carry a microphone or something.

We rode along serene trails and ended up beside a beautiful lake. We saw numerous deer that didn't even spook the horses. It was so peaceful hearing nature up close and personal. The ranch patiently provided us with training before taking us out. By far, the best time of my life! Management, Staff, and Trainers have been perfectly nice in person when lessons are actually…read moreattended and appointments aren't repeatedly missed leaving trainers to believe you are showing for that lesson. Interactions seem much smoother when there's consistency in showing up. "If you're a No-Show please don't hesitate to contact management to reschedule, as I've had to do it once or twice." Please don't come in on days you're not scheduled (I learned this the hard way, they only have so many horses to let people train on). The trainers plan their day around the schedule, and unexpected arrivals cause confusion. Ive been taking lessons here as a beginner and the Trainers are very helpful on what you need to improve and give helpful tips on how to correct your mistakes. The lesson programs they offer are very well priced for learning how to ride. They have Trainers for every style of riding from Dressage, Western, English, and more. Also, the boarding is very reasonably priced, especially compared to other places around. It's honestly hard to find something this affordable without sacrificing the basics. If you're looking for a place to take lessons, board your horse, or do both, this is a solid option. The ranch has a comfortable, welcoming feel, and it works well for riders who want a consistent place to ride and care for their horse. I'd definitely recommend CJ's Legacy Ranch to anyone looking for lessons or boarding.

We rode thru the woods and trails and up to the top of the point to look over the Brazos. Also went down in the shale of the river bed. It's a gorgeous and peaceful ride. Eric was our guide and Michelle helped us get ready and took lots of pictures for us. They are amazing people and showed us a piece of heaven on Earth. We stayed at Cedars on the Brazos Bed and breakfast - our favorite and it was great to have them right there on the property. We also saw several deer. We highly recommend Manna Ranch!
