I used to live in Jamaica so I had to try this place while in town. It was amazing. I went big and got the 3 meat combo. Curried goat, ox tail, and jerk pork. Extra Festival dumplings. I'm so pleased. I'll be eating this food for a couple days. Reminds me of a time long gone in my life. So glad I came here. If I'm lucky enough to stay in town longer, this place will be why I'm lucky. read more

Usually restaurants are stingy with the oxtails as to why I ordered a large but this order was HUGE!! Tons of food! I really enjoyed the jerk chicken, wasn't really spicy and the plantains are delicious. A decent size, I recommend calling in because they have many orders over the phone during lunch hour and you might have to wait. I did see a bar area but I didn't look at the menu for drinks. Many options for food and they didn't have the green tea cheesecake or red velvet cake, I was so bummed out about that, but they did provide me a pumpkin cheesecake. There's room for a stroller so that's a plus in my books. I love the music they were playing as well. read more

The establishment is nice, a few tvs that are pretty loud, but I took my food to go. The waitress was nice and helpful (bc I don't eat Jamaican food often). Come to find out the restaurant is owned by Ms. Annette! I knew right then that the food would be delicious as I had tasted her cooking before. And I was not disappointed! Stopped in after seeing they had 5 star reviews. It was the best meal I have had in a long time. I got the Jerk Chicken and my friend got the Jerk Pork plate. The Jamaican Spot has the Best Jerk Pork I have ever had!! It's seasoned to perfection, tender, and the sauce is so flavorful. I always get extra sauce to pour over my steamed rice. I lLove the Plantains as well. They have a variety of juices manufactured in Jamaica- Mango, Pineapple, Pina Colada, and many more rich and flavorful juices. The customer service is Superb!! The owner and all employees welcome you into the restaurant and make you feel at home. In fact I have a 2 year old that likes to feed himself and that's difficult to do in a plate so the lady that owns the restaurant brought a bowl just for him. So amazing. The food is Great!!! I do NOT eat dark meat chicken but here I couldn't eat it fast enough. Jerk chicken was awesome and it came with a mountain of cabbage and rice and beans. Filled my belly with delicious food and didn't empty my wallet doing so. The wife is an avid Coca Cola drinker and was disappointed they didn't carry coke but the cola champagne was great in my opinion but one sugary drink is the same as another to me. Not a bad spot to eat, real Jamaican experience. However the food was slightly inconsistent in taste I had the curry chicken w/ cabbage, also with a side of rice and beans. As where the curry chicken was delicious the cabbage and rice were slightly lacking in flavor. Rolls were very good, leading me in a positive direction.
