Ended up here after being rudely talked to by the takeout hostess as we entered Harris Crab House. This worked in our favor. Turns out that unlike Harris' this restaurant has great staff, is down on the water/ has a better view of the water, and has no noise pollution from US-50. Sure there was a ten minute wait to get in, but it was worth it. We ended up getting the following, which was all done really well: -1 LB bucket of little necks -A burger with tots -a soft shell crab BLT with onion rings They also had a special edition beer from RAR brewing, the grass skirt, which was a coconut Hefeweizen. The little necks came in an great buttery sauce. Made good use of the bread that came with it so soak up the rest of the sauce. The burger was nice and juicy. The tots were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just like the onion rings. The soft shell crab was the highlight. Perfectly fried to perfection. When passing through this area, will definitely look at going back to the Jetty. Besides the food, I think they're the only one that is really isolated from the really loud noise from the US-50 bridge. read more

Whenever I am in this part of the world this is a must stop either for a quick lunch or a leisurely dinner. Wonderful to sit at the dock bar and have one of their amazing crabcake sandwiches and an orange crush or three. Crabs were extremely hollow. Because of this, they had a very sea-like taste. For a first timer, it was hard to tell where the main entrance was. I was told I needed to pay a $5 cover to eat outside. Yikes. Outside was chaotic as hell!!!! They should not serve food after a certain hour. It's absolute screaming and mixed up orders. My wings came before my drinks and they came with sour cream. I thought it was blue cheese, dipped and almost puked. The busser thought it was funny. The wings were undercooked. I wish I would've went to the fisherman's crab deck instead. Overall review - great spot to hang out on a nice day! We went on a Saturday afternoon just as COVID restrictions were being lifted/relaxed. It felt SO great to be able to sit at a bar with friends with no masks! We arrived around 11:30am/11:45am and they were already parking cars in the side lot. We assumed we'd never get a spot to sit. We were very wrong. The outdoor seating area is HUGE so the line went very fast and we were able to get 4 spots at the bar immediately. The place was very busy but the bartenders really did a great job of staying on top of orders. We ordered food at the bar too. Our friends ordered an appetizer to share. I ordered a salad and my husband ordered shrimp tacos. Their appetizer came out first... and our meals came out almost an hour later. That was my only complaint. The food was decent but I don't feel like I can properly rate it until/unless we order something more "substantial". They had a live band that started playing at 3pm. They were great and added to the overall fun energy! Bottom line, it's a great place. We will definitely be back. read more

What a great place to stumble upon. We stopped here for a bite during a long drive and we can't wait to return. The food was good and the nachos were great! But the ambiance is so much fun outdoors. We were there for some great live music. We went on a Saturday and the outdoor bar was packed! But again so much fun. And their orange crushes were by far the best I've ever had. The environment was a vibe. The food and service were both what we expected being it was our first time visiting.

It smells like a not-very-clean public restroom inside, but is otherwise decently sanitary. What is a terrific shame is that while the food was surprisingly good for this smelly dump, the mixed drinks are GODAWFUL DRECK. I knew we were in trouble when I saw that the INSIDE bar was unmanned, and the waitress went OUTSIDE to the tiki bar to fetch the premixed slop she gave us in plastic cups --- at $13.50 a pop. In keeping with the bathroom theme, my wife said the drinks tasted like the smell of toilet cleaner. She was correct. I had the HUGE, very good crabcake (Very little filler and no surimi.) sandwich that came with room temperature, previously-made, house-cooked BBQ-flavor chips (You do not get a choice of chip flavors.). A toasted roll would have made the sandwich even better. She had a wrap that she was entirely satisfied with. She also got good french fries at $1.50 extra. Our waitress was very nice, but curiously? charmingly? vocabulary-challenged. Every thing she said to us ended with "Sounds good..." So order water or soda or beer at The Jetty, but avoid any mixed drink. And if they get rid of the urine-y smell of the place, they'll have a nice place to get good food. read more

This was my 2nd visit to this restaurant. The first time, I left with no desire to come back however, this was the only option at the time of night I wanted to go. First visit, I had crab legs. They were just okay. This time, they were YUMMY and the freshest ones I've had all summer!! Let me back up....so we were seated at a table at the far end of the "beach" setup on the water. Very romantic location, especially at 10pm at night. Loved it. There was a HUGE party going on with a decent band that had the place jumping lol Good thing we were away from most of the noise. We also ordered crabby fries - just okay - and a crab cake. My crab legs and veggies were delicious, so I had no complaints. I give the crab legs THIS TIME, 4.5 Stars!! Great atmosphere. Eat out on the man made beach overlooking the water, or on the deck surrounding by water or at the bar. And if you're having a boring day you can eat inside. :-) The food here is always good, as is the service. It's a great place to chill with your honey, or your friends and family. I visited Maryland with a couple of girlfriends for the weekend just recently. So during Covid times, the kept up with the rules and everybody was real good about wearing their masks when necessary, and keeping their distance. I came here directly after a 3 1/2 hour drive from Jersey and immediately sat my ass down with my friends. The waiter came over instantly and brought me a drink just as fast after I ordered it. We were having these slushy things, cream-icicles. They were real yummy! The place is right on the water so the view is just the perfect setting for that summer vibes time. We ordered a bunch of apps with it, that were unfortunately a miss. The crab dip just didn't taste great. It all tasted more like fast bar food kind of dishes. I wouldn't have expected that here, especially with the prices. We went out to a bunch of places and came back to end the night here. It wasn't too crowded, and we definitely liked that there was a band going (even though we didn't like the band lol). I ordered a dessert...same issue. Not real good, some peanut buttery cake. Egh. We probably would have had one or two more drinks, but the waitress kept hovering at us. You know, that feeling where they want you to leave. Keep in mind the place still had people all over. I was originally going to the place next door, but the effort put into the holiday decor called to me. It is definitely a beachcomber restaurant with a great bar area that is separate from the dining. I would love to come back in the summer. I highly recommend the crB cKes here. If you look closely at the photos, there's barely an ounce of filler. All crab meat. I got mine broiled, and it was delicious. Dont pass this place up because it's casual. Lovely views and right on the bay. Great breeze loved the openness. Our server was great, ever present and getting refills. A few other tables were complaining about their service, we did not have any issues! The food was good but a bit pricey for the plastic knife and fork. I had the crab cakes at the suggestion of our waiter. No fillers and huge lumps of crabs. I had a Jetty Mojito, very tasty, light rum not the coconut. My friend had the creamsicle crush and was unimpressed. If there was dessert we were not offered nor did we see any. Parking is tight so look at all options. I was sorely disappointed in my visit this week for lunch. It was my first visit. I realize it's Winter but if they are open year 'round then food should still be good quality & freshly prepared. This was not the case for either of our meals. The broiled crab cake was just ok, and may have been the only thing not sitting around. I ordered onion rings instead of their chips. The onion rings were not hot, they tasted stale and obviously precooked & just rewarmed. My friends fried platter was dried out, not hot and also looked and tasted stale. The cream of crab soup was served in a brown crock style cup and ladled in with it splattered all over the edge and side of the bowl. It was lukewarm at best. It tasted ok but served with a plastic spoon. For $8.50 I think a metal utensil would have been warranted. But I digress. Ok so this place is more of a dingy bar with a nice water view, yet the online menu was crafted with care. The description of the dishes did not mirror what we were served. The waiter was courteous and the food was served ultra quick. There were just a few other patrons besides us. There were two other restaurants we could have chosen that are adjacent to the Jetty but we wanted to give this place a try. I'd recommend they live up to their recent menu or just stick to their late night party bar food and drinks. Because in my opinion, this is what they are best for. read more

We just had lunch here.what a disappointment!!! In order of getting the food: steamed clams were way too over cooked.the clammeat was Dramatically shrunk, way too tough. The mussels had a Nice sauce,but it could Not hide the fact that the mussels were Far from fresh and had a Weird aftertaste. The crabs were miles away from merely being disappointing.they were smaller than what we ordered.we Called the manager and she replaced 4 of the 6 we ordered.they were neither fresh ( common theme) nor prepared correctly.they were the most overcooked crabs i have ever experienced.the meat was Tough and Tasted of seafood that was starting " to turn". The Jetty is many things. Part dock bar, part restaurant, and part dive bar. The dock bar is like a huge open garage that sits on the pier. Great for drinking, watching sports, and doing karaoke. The restaurant is somewhat divey but it is all enclosed with normal seating. Food is available at bar an restaurant. The restaurant has a small bar and sports can be viewed there as well. Great customer service and several signature and drink specials. The food is awesome. The crab cakes and the calamari are spot on. I am sure the other menu items are great as well. We loved the establishment. So cute and loved that it was by the water. The wait on a Saturday dinner time was 45 minutes so we took a walk on the pier. Loved seeing the boats passing by. We ordered hush puppies and it was overcooked and didn't come with a dipping. Will we order this again? Probably not unless we want to give it one more try. I ordered non alcoholic pina colada because I am nursing. After a few sips, I felt woozy. I asked my husband to taste it to see if he could taste alcohol but he said he's not good at it. I decided to stop drinking because I shouldn't feel woozy if it didn't have alcohol. The kids menu wasn't shared with us. We had to ask what it is. Would be nice to have a menu. Dinner: the hubs got shrimp tacos and he said it was good. It comes with fries and he asked if instead of fries, could he get tater tots? We were charged $3 for it. Hmmmmmmmmm. Why? Not like we substitute tater tots from chips. I got their jerk chicken sandwich and it was good. It came with chips and slaw. I didn't get slaw. And the chips was ok-ok. Not something I would get again. The kid had corn dog with fries. He enjoyed the corn dog. It came with apple sauce too. The service with our waiter wasn't so great. We appreciated that he ensured a safety measures by wearing mask and kept a distance, but we had to ask for fork. Asked for same thing that we asked and have t been brought to us. We understand that Covid 19 is a strange time, but felt the service and the food could have been better. Will we come again? For the view yes, and we'll give the food and service one more try. The hostess said there was a 30 minute wait... I'm the type that hates waiting but we didn't to wait. The Jetty has a convenient method of alerting you when your table is ready. They alert you by text then you check in with your name in order to be seated. We were seated in an area where there was sand and picnic tables. The vibe of the place was really summery and it set the tone for The Jetty even before eating. We ordered tacos, fries, and a crab cake sandwich. The food was delicious... the crab cake didn't have no fillers like some other spots. *I would put a recommendation on the time to go on a Saturday but looks like this spot is PACKED all day.
