The menu is extensive. There's plenty of seafood to choose from. It's well-liked by locals and has lots of loyal patrons. As soon as a table clears, another party takes it. The staff is earnest and tries hard to please. They know many of their customers and indulge them. The wait for food is long because it's popular. Took nearly an hour last visit to get our order. The offerings are a mixed bag: some dishes are spot-on; some are not so. I love the half and half crab soup here, it's unique, however it's served with a plastic spoon -- a bit puzzling. The jumbo lump crab cake sandwich is commendable. The Jetty knows how to prepare crab. The fisherman's sampler, called "K'mans Catch", is a disappointment as is the key lime pie. I chalk it up to poor execution and trying to do too much. It can be a cold environment in the non-summer months, the wind coming off the water can be a real zinger. At sunset, the views from the pier are lovely. Great spot for taking photos of this part of the Chesapeake Bay. read more

Gimme crabs! Beautiful view of the harbor, nice ambience. Very nice outdoor seating on a beautiful day. Came here one afternoon for a late lunch, and got a seat outside. It was very nice, some of the tables had umbrellas so you would have a little bit of shade. It was super busy on the day we went even though it's only on a weekday. Our server was very nice and sweet. We got the two crab soup to share, the Maryland crab soup, and the cream of crab soup. Both were extremely delicious. Then we ordered a dozen crabs and went to town on that. Took us 2 1/2 hours to go through all 12 of them. I was so full that I needed a cart to roll me out of there. The ambience is very nice, the food is really good quality, crabs are super meaty, and cooked well. Service was very sweet and attentive. Bathrooms are outside and not super clean. Easy parking. They still made EVERYONE pay an additional $10 cover until my daughter got the manager TWICE!! We chose to get the crabs in medium because we didn't know what to expect but next time, we are getting large crabs. The medium crabs were very meaty. My bf and I kept showing off our crab meat "look honey" LOL We also had bang bang shrimp tacos and a crab cake entree with wild rice. I focused so much on the crabs, I forgot to take a picture of the tacos and crab cakes. But both entrees were just basic. We wouldn't order again. Just the crabs!!! Jetty's atmosphere was more fun than the other restaurants in the area. Maybe it's the live music and laid back vibe. Our server, I wish I got her name, was excellent. She kept checking on us. Never once ignored us. She had multiple big tables but still was very attentive. Even after we paid our bill, she did not rush us. The food is very good, but not excellent. I had the steamers in garlic sauce which is really more like a cream sauce. The garlic bread is out of this world. My husband had a seafood platter with linguine. He said it was delicious. I tasted the sauce and it was very good. It is a thin sauce with chunks of tomato on top. We then realised there was a bad smell from the water and asked to go inside to sit at the bar. The only space was behind some blenders which wasn't great but eventually some better seats opened up. I ordered a Dreamsicle Crush and I would gladly order it again. It was very tasty. For food, I had the soft shell crab BLT. I asked for the bacon on the side which they were able to accommodate for. Meaty and sweet with just enough Old Bay. I also tried the coconut shrimp. I've had the shrimp twice, and on both occasions, the shrimp were piping hot. Tasty. Customer service was excellent on both visits - very consistent. I'm not sure if The Jetty offers reservations, but if so, I recommend it. Came by first time for dinner late Sunday evening after calling to confirm they're serving menu till 11pm. I arrive to find there's a loud live not so good band playing in adjacent lounge and two nasty guys at door insisting on $10 cover to have dinner. I go in restaurant asking for manager who also nasty insists I pay $10 cover to have dinner. "Everyone pays the cover." I go to many restaurants with live music and never demanded a cover charge to have dinner! And yet the area with the lousy band is in separate lounge area. COVID REVIEW: This restaurant is open with 50% capacity and the outdoor and indoor spaces open. You have to wear a mask in door but not outside from what it looked like. But we order some drinks at the bar and then ordered soft shell crab crab sandwiches. The sandwich was really good!!! They put the soft shell crab inside the crab cake sandwich if you want to order that "old" special they had in 2019. Pricing is reasonable. You can get a slushee liquor drink for like $8.50 and that's not bad!!! The drink tasted good too!!! The outside appearance is super welcoming and the staff were extremely friendly! Like seriously! The food came out so quick! We were at the bar for like 15 mins and food was done. Their menu options are not the largest so don't think your coming to a restaurant with 4-6 pages of options . We started with each of us ordering a Mai Tai. It was so watered down, it might as well have been juice. The boom boom shrimp were just ok. The cream of crab soup was ok, but I've had better. We also ordered shrimp w/onions and 2 dozen large crabs. My friend ordered mussels and she thought they were ok. The shrimp were ok, but it was mainly onion. This spot is the perfect place for brunch, family gathering or a hang out spot. Jetty's have so much to offer with its great water front views, sand boxes for the kids, it's live entertainment, great drinks but the only thing bringing this great establishment down is its decent food, terrible wait time and the parking! Phone reservations are not allowed here, you HAVE to walk up and place your name on the list and I think if they let go of this system service will run smoothly. But besides my complaints the food was alright, I went with a pretty large crew so there was some wait time on our meals. But being able to place your own drink orders at the bar made up for the wait. I heard the crabs were good, a little on the pricey side but they were a good size. I can see why people love this place!! Your right on the water! Hot spot in the summer time so plan accordingly. The food was great! I was a little apprehensive thinking this place was popular because of its location and these what "made the food good" but nope....food is that good. Crab dip and grouper Ruben for the win!! Service was a little lacking. At one point the food runner came out with a dish and stood at the end of the table staring at us until we said something to him. Ended up here after being rudely talked to by the takeout hostess as we entered Harris Crab House. This worked in our favor. Turns out that unlike Harris' this restaurant has great staff, is down on the water/ has a better view of the water, and has no noise pollution from US-50. Sure there was a ten minute wait to get in, but it was worth it. We ended up getting the following, which was all done really well: -1 LB bucket of little necks -A burger with tots -a soft shell crab BLT with onion rings They also had a special edition beer from RAR brewing, the grass skirt, which was a coconut Hefeweizen. The little necks came in an great buttery sauce. Made good use of the bread that came with it so soak up the rest of the sauce. The burger was nice and juicy. The tots were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just like the onion rings. The soft shell crab was the highlight. Perfectly fried to perfection. When passing through this area, will definitely look at going back to the Jetty. Besides the food, I think they're the only one that is really isolated from the really loud noise from the US-50 bridge. read more
