When my wife's wedding ring broke and the diamond fell off, we went in to repair it. After speaking with the Jeweler, we made the decision to upgrade to a larger stone. The team took the time to clearly explain all of our options and the services they offer, which gave us a lot of confidence moving forward. After taking time to pray about it, we decided to proceed--and we're so glad we did. In just three days, we received her old ring that looks like a new ring, and it is absolutely stunning. It didn't look anything like the one she had worn for 32 years--it was even more beautiful than we could have imagined. My wedding band got too loose. I got excited about something and it flew off my finger. The main diamond came out. I was lucky to find the stone. I took my ring and the diamond to The Jewelers Bench. I got my ring back today and it is beautiful. The prongs are sturdy and my ring sparkles like new. The staff and the jeweler are so nice, personal and compassionate about what they do. I would highly recommend The Jewelers Bench to everyone. The jeweler had great recommendations for ways for my ring to fit my finger better without resizing. One was basically putting moleskin inside my ring. Works perfectly and is not visible! I appreciate the attention they gave to my ring and to the customer service they extended to me. I'd give them no stars, it I could. I'd called to ask if they worked on Tag Hauer watches, and they assured me that they did. So I took my watch there to have the battery replaced. When I picked up the watch, I noticed that they had not set it to the correct time. Every other time I'd had the battery replaced, it had been returned to me set to the correct time. When I attempted to set my watch to the correct time, I realized the reason they had not done so. THEY HAD BROKEN THE STEM ON MY WATCH. They had not mentioned that to me when I had picked it up and paid for the service. It cost me about $200 to have the stem replaced. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! read more

I brought a necklace in for repair that my grandmother gave me years ago planning on leaving it for a few days. They stopped everything and fixed it on the spot. I am so glad I did not let this one derogatory review dissuade me from going to this jewelry store. I went in to have a stone put back in a setting I had removed many years ago. Rick and his associate were wonderful and extremely helpful. The price to have this done was very minimal. I decided to bring in some old pieces of gold for cash, that segued into buying gold earrings, doing another stone setting and ultimately having an 118 year old pocket watch repaired. All of these transactions were flawlessly performed with courtesy and professionalism. The cost for all purchases were quite reasonable. read more

If you could give 0 stars to this business, I would have but apparently Yelp feels even the worst of businesses deserves at least one. The owner of this jewelry store has an ego the size of Texas. His pride is bigger than any diamond the world's ever seen. Maybe that's why he's had to relocate 3 times; being rude to customers, ladies in particular, is something he's gotten good at over the last 40 yrs. My girlfriend went in to have a ring sized; a $1500+ ring, gold w/several diamonds. After getting the size figured out, she asked me if we had a photo of our ring and when I said we didn't, the jeweler, whose name is Kent and seemed to understand this perfectly, suggested we take one before leaving. After all, we'd just walked in and met them 2 minutes earlier. Apparently the owner, who sat there with his cane in hand, took offense to us wanting to have a photo of our own ring and says to my girlfriend, "you ain't got a stone big enough for me wanna take". My girlfriend explained that she'd had a bad experience with an established jeweler in the past and is cautious because of it. So he tells the jeweler, Kent, to stop and give him the ring, at which point he hobbled over to us and dumped the ring out of the pouch and tells my girlfriend to take her ring somewhere else, because apparently he thinks strangers should trust him immediately... because he's got a storefront!? If life were about who can be the biggest jerk, the owner would be the winner. But as we were about to leave I tried to get into the competition! I told him his ego was bigger than any stone he had, including the small set between his legs. He then proudly said that he was born with it then shook his cane at me while telling me to get out! So if you like cheerful old a-holes, this may be the place for you! If not, stay away from The Jeweler's Bench at 808 Trotwood Ave., in Columbia, TN.! read more
