Let me start off by saying how great the service was here! I was at Dave and busters on a Saturday afternoon and was doing some shopping around the block. My girlfriend recently had my gold rope necklace repaired but some of the links ended up breaking again. I tried to do a home repair and miserably failed lol After mentioning the above His first question was "did you sleep with it on?" I immediately told him I did lol and he recommended I no longer do that to keep the necklace in good condition as this specific type is known to be fragile. I really appreciated the insight on how to maintain it, because the previous shop that my girlfriend had it repaired at never mentioned any precautions to take. I also had a second necklace that needed to be repaired that I've been holding on for so long. It was a gift I received as a child and I was curious if it was solid gold or plated so I asked if he could verify. He was quick to confirm it was gold which I appreciated. Before leaving I asked how long the repair would take as I was in no rush and he mentioned it would be a few days which I was completely ok with. By Tuesday I received a call from him notifying that both repairs were completed! He also mentioned he did a little extra soldering and cleaning of the chains which spoke volumes to me as far as service goes. Absolutely Horrible Experience - Beware! From November 2024 to April 2025, I had one of the worst customer service experiences of my life with The Jewelry Doctor. I brought in three items: one charm to be replaced, one ring to be repaired, and another to be resized. What should have been a simple job turned into six months of lies, delays, and stress. Every time I went to pick up my items, I was met with new excuses and stories. He kept promising the work was almost done, but nothing ever was. Out of the four tasks I paid for, only one was completed--and even that item came back damaged. He resized a ring that didn't need resizing, returned it in poor condition, and one of the diamonds was missing. He also changed the prices on three of the four items without warning. When I finally lost patience and pushed back, the owner became rude and threatening, to the point where I felt scared and had to leave the store. It was that bad. Eventually, I had no choice but to take him to court and I WON. But did we really??? Still, I was left with a damaged item and months of wasted time and stress. I was looking for the right ring for my wife's 80th birthday. She's been saying for years she wanted a ring similar to my silver celtic band ring. I stopped here and the lady behing the counter was very helpful in helping me pick one out that would surely meet her approval. We assimed size 7 was just right. When I got home my wife, BIllie, was thrilled! But, it wouldn't go over her knukle, so we went back and asked the jeweler, William, if he could fix it. Sure, he can open up a 1/2 size with no problem. BIllie was looking down and smacked her index finger against the glass and said, 'Look amethyst!. That's my birthstone!'. William fished the ring out onto the counter and Biliie looked over and tried it on. It was size 7, so it wouldn't fit. I noticed the price was quite a bit more than the original. Overall I would say this place does good work but bad customer service. I went here to get an item resized and engraved. The gal at the front didn't even ask me what font or size I wanted for the engraving. Then they called me on Monday and said it was done and ready to pick up. When I got there the item wasn't finished and they said they jeweler had an emergency and had to leave for the day. I drove all the way there for nothing. Then when I returned days later to pick up the item the total was Wayyyy more then what was explained to me when I first asked. The work was done well but again just poor customer service. read more

The resizing was fine but he didn't bother to dip them in rhodium (re-plating) which apparently what is supposed to happen when you resize white gold and now you can see the non white gold at the bottom... my rings are two different colors. I "had" a gold Gucci 1900 ladies watch that I purchased back in 2000 as my business' first profit purchase and LOVED IT!! It is my favorite piece that holds sentimental value. I brought several pieces to William to repair. It was so expensive but he was the only place I could find to repair everything. I had a pearl replace in a ring. There was a post the the pearl should have been placed on. He removed the post and glued the ring in. It lasted one week. the pearl fell out. I was at a baseball game and while I was clapping, the pearl flew into seats in front of me. Luckily, my friend spotted it and I crawled around on the ground to retrieve it. I could bring it back to him and expect a free repair, but I am looking for someone else to repair it properly. read more

Wow. I dropped my omega constellation off at this location for a battery and adjustment on clasp. Was called a few days by this person named Kelsey saying my watch is ready. I called yesterday and spoke to Kelsey and informed her I'll pick up tomorrow (today). I asked her for the price which she said cash price is $34.99. I go to pick up my watch. She asks for a ticket. Which admittedly I don't have. I informed her I called yesterday. She told me she couldn't find my watch. Then how the heck did she know the name of the watch, the price, my phone number and name then when she called to inform my watch was ready, and when I called to confirm the price? So yeah, to me, that's saying they actually lost my watch. So yeah, I was not happy. I did ask if it was lost and she said she said she couldn't find it. I said I'll get my ticket and get my watch after she said in an angry voice that most people bring there tickets. And then she gave me a how dare you look and asked, "Excuse me?" That was it for me. I was angry. I just wanted to get my watch and get out of there. Saying excuse me and giving me a look is not good customer service and is threatening. I asked her what is she going to do about I'll it. She do desperately wanted that ticket. She told me she was going to call security. So I said go ahead. I told her I work security so I know what security can and can't do. And she said in a sarcastic tone,"I bet you do." Bad customer service to agitate the person you dared say excuse me too. So yeah. You get what you pay for. I was really excited when I walked in and asked if they polish jewelry and they said YES ONLY $5 . I had originally been getting it polished and redipped at the jewelry store I bought it at for $50-60 bucks each time. I'm really rough with my wedding band at work so it's constantly scratched and needs to be polished. My ring is white gold. Once it got polished it looked great but when I went out in the sunlight my ring looked YELLOW! So they basically buffed out the white gold. I was really disappointed. I had a tragic accident where I managed to pop out the center stone from my wedding/engagement ring setting while on a trip to Southern California. Fortunately, I found the stone, and just needed it put back into the setting. I asked around the resort I was staying at for a recommendation, and this was the person recommended to me by someone who has all of her diamond jewelry purchased from and maintained by him--let alone she said he didn't charge an arm and a leg for doing the work. I went to the store, which is nice and tiny, which = low overhead, and met William, the owner/jeweler. He looked at the stone and the ring and said it would be no problem, and also said that it looked like the ring hadn't been looked at in a while (which was true and I had no idea how he knew that!). Long story short, I let him know I was leaving the area in a few days and wondered how long it would take. He said he'd have it ready the next day around the time I dropped it off (1pm)! I was pleased, and asked how much it would be and he estimated ~$100. We then had just a great conversation about life and I felt confident all would be well. The next day BEFORE NOON I received a call that my ring was ready. When my hubby and I made it to the store, a woman, who had made the call, was in the jeweler's spot & is evidently a co-worker. When I said I was there to pick up my wedding ring, she said, "Oh, the pretty one!" She pulled it out of its envelope and I was in shock: this ring hadn't been so shiny in ages, even though I'd had it cleaned any number of times. I finally understood that he had buffed out all the nicks and scratches that had ensued over the 25+ yrs I had had this setting as my original engagement ring and wedding band had been done around my 15th wedding anniversary.
