    Cannoli, Tiramisu, Cheesecake
    Kayla P.

I had the pleasure of coming here for a company-sponsored lunch. Overall, everything was absolutely delicious! For drinks, I tried a Hugo spritz, toasted almond martini (might be messing up the exact name), and different types of red wine. All of this was very good! The almond martini was exceptional. The bread with the beans & olive oil was very good to start off with. Then, we got bruschetta as an appetizer and it was delicious. I got the rigatoni buttera as my entree and it did not disappoint. If you like penne alla vodka, you'd love this. All of the pasta is made fresh, and you can definitely tell. 10/10 would recommend. I did not try the other entrees, but everyone was very happy with what they were served. For dessert, we had a sampler with cannoli, tiramisu, and New York cheesecake. Everything was divine! The tiramisu was so fluffy, and the sauce on the cheesecake was to die for. Overall, we were so happy with everything. The vibe in the back room was amazing for our Christmas lunch. There was a fire place and it looked beautiful. All of the staff was lovely and very attention to all of our needs. Overall, I'd definitely recommend!

Another great special occasion place where we celebrated 2 birthdays, everything about this place I Located in the specialty shops of south park shopping center which is also really nice. I loved The family style local feel once you step inside, the music, the traditional menu, great wine list. All the Italian waiters! The food and wine and desserts were all so good. We also had such a great time here. The place seemed busy with locals who frequent this place often. We had reservations and were seated at a great table for our group of 8. Kicked off our celebrations with a bottle of bubbles, while we decided on apps and entrees. Everything we ordered here was just fresh and delicious. There's not a bad choice on this menu and we ordered a lot of things. The bread service is free and the give a nice white bean dip with it, bread is traditional Italian. The aged prosciutto is so good, sliced perfectly thin, with local honey drizzled, black truffle, homemade focaccia and burrata cheese. Must try! The brushetta was also good, heirloom cherry tomatoes, basil, garlic, olive oil, fresh mozzarella on a grilled baguette. Yum The arugula salad was good for those who had it, I skipped it for more of the not so healthy stuff. We chose a couple of good bottles of wine, a Chianti Reserva and a Toscana. Both perfect with our food. Again every entree was warm and comfort food like. The Branzino, perfect. Roasted whole sea bass with olive oil and lemon, with roasted vegetables Flaky. Good. The eggplant Parmesan was good for the veggies, they loved it, the sauce they said was excellent. The tagliatelle vodka sauce was one of my faves abs I loved the thicker pasta. Another good veggie option. The lobster tail and scallop risotto, hands down my fave. They even took the tail back and got the meat out for us so we didn't have to mess with it. Risotto creamy and cheesy, scallops melted in your mouth. The penne with light tomato sauce abs julienne vegetables and the shrimp that came with this dish were colossal! So much good flavor on them. Birthday desserts were another 2 amazing plates. The tiramisu as you must in any good Italian establishment! My favorite being the chocolate cake, more mousse like not so cakey. Still rich and very chocolaty ! The tiramisu I have to say was great, I love strong espresso flavor. Our tummies were all full after that amazing indulgent meal, if I lived in Charlotte I'd be here on all special occasions. Absolutely some of the best Italian I've had outside of Italy.

What a gem of a restaurant in SouthPark! The food here is top quality and so crave-able, along with a large wine list. I had the halibut special and it didn't disappoint! This place was packed and very loud! If you need something intimate, I'm not certain this would be ideal. I will be back during my next Charlotte visit!

This was my first experience at Toscana and I'm just not quite sure how I feel about it. We had a reservation for a large party at 7:45 to celebrate our friend's birthday. When we arrived the hostess informed us that our table would be ready shortly. Typically, this would not be an issue as we could grab a drink while we waited but there was not room for us to stand to do so. Instead, we were told to stand in the back room so that we did not "block the front of the restaurant because it stressed the manager out" which I thought was odd since it wasn't our fault our table wasn't ready. We finally were seated at 8:15. This was frustrating because with a reservation for every guest that doesn't show they will charge you $25 each. Our server was quick to take our drink orders and get us started. She was super friendly and helpful in us making decisions on what to order. Due to our wait, we were given complimentary appetizers and dessert which were delicious. The prosciutto and bruschetta were super fresh. For my entree I ordered the carbonara which was so good! The food definitely made up for the timing issue at the beginning of our visit. I would like to try this place again but hope that they can have the reservations figured out.

    Nice wine selection.

What a great find. The family feel of this restaurant goes beyond any other Italian restaurant we have experienced in Charlotte. When the owner joins in to help serve the tables and makes sure you are having a pleasant time, you feel special. The food was great, no pictures as I forgot to take them, it smelled and looked so good, we dove right in.

    Buttera (to go)
    Kalyn M.

Candidly, I was teetering between a 3 and 4 for overall rating but opted for a 4 strictly because of the Buttera dish. I have been here about 5 times and I will say the service has not been consistent. At times the staff seems like they don't want to be there and seem to rush you/not really care about questions, etc - that has been a big turn off. There is a female bartender who is fabulous, however. As for the food, it's been a little inconsistent, as well. I've ordered the Cavatelli a couple of times and it's been better good one time and not so good the other. We also had a larger party and some ordered the same dish but you could tell some were sitting there for a while, likely waiting for the other dishes to be done. Not all looked to be the same freshness when they came out. Some of the dishes so seem a little overpriced for what you get, but the ambience of the restaurant and space is overall really nice! What I will say is - order the Buttera if that strikes you as something you may like. It's not necessarily something I would normally order per se, and I am SO GLAD I DID. It was so good I ordered some for take out a few days later! Add a little red pepper if you like a little bit of spice.

    Pasta and delicious homemade meatballs.

Recently had a chance to dine at this Italian restaurant. It was a company Christmas party so I got to see lots of different entrees. Since it was my first visit I wanted to taste the pasta & sauce. It was just delicious. Seriously delicious. The meatballs were so delicious it brought me back to my childhood memories of homemade. You can taste the difference! I did enjoy a bite of steak from a friend who sat beside me. The steak was so flavorful and tender . The food was just delicious. There really isn't any other way to describe this meal. The desserts were just incredible ! Tucked away in the speciality shoppes at South Park, I highly recommend you call and make reservations, cause I'm certain you'll need them ! The food was delicious the ambiance is warm and inviting and the wait staff are spot on fantastic! This place is amazing! Two thumbs way up!

What is not to love about Toscana? Delicious Italian foods with impeccable service. I don't know why I don't come here more often. This time we were seated in the back room next to the fire and it was so cozy. I have to ask to be seated back here again next time.

    French Martini
    Kiley G.

We started off the night with French Martinis & an antipasto board! It was the real deal. Delicious spreads of meats. The ambiance of this place is really incredible. As soon as we walk in, we see the beautiful decor throughout the restaurant. We were seated at a two top near the window. I am hard of hearing, it was a little loud with a full restaurant in close quarters, but the food made it well worth it!! I ordered the tubular pasta! I absolutely loved the creamy tomato sauce it came with, I can closely relate it to a vodka sauce! It was fantastic. My boyfriend ordered the penne with jumbo shrimp with white sauce! The shrimp were in fact very JUMBO & JUICY! 10/10. The sauce was perfect. It was not too rich like an Alfredo, but the perfect consistency! This was our first time dining & definitely will not be our last!

The goat cheese was amazing. I shared my penne ala vodka with my partners chicken parmesan. This is one of the best chicken parmesans I have had. We requested fresh pasta for both. Order their homemade pasta and be prepared to share. Portions were above average. For dessert you must try the cheesecake. Smooth and well balanced. One improvement could be the chocolate cake. This was dry and kacked the chocolate flavor the menu teased. The service was great. Ill be back in September.

Since it was a birthday celebration, we started with some cocktails and moved to wine during the meal. The food itself is a smaller/concept menu, but same great food. I ventured away from my usual MR's go-to: Penne brocoli & chicken and went Ravioli that night - so good! Don't judge me, but we had 4:30pm reservations.
