TLDR; Affordable prices, one of the doctors at the Downey location was inappropriate and made me very uncomfortable. I would probably return to a different location. Overall 3/5 First time customer went in for an adjustment. $29 which was a good price (my usual independent chiropractor charges a $40 copay with my insurance). When i was with the chiropractor, it felt like he a salesman trying to sell me on their packages. Lecturing me about going a couple months without adjustments, importance of regular adjustments, etc. He had very poor social skills and made me feel very uncomfortable (asking me about my ethnicity and told me a few stereotypical stories about "my people"). While I was laying down waiting for my information to be put into the system, he would brush up against me while telling me his stories. Very inappropriate stories about people he's known who would tweak, pop pills and piss blood. Barely bothered to looks at the forms I filled out because he contradicted what I described, he just looked me up and down and assumed (cmon just read what boxes I checked) The adjustment went fine, similar to what I've experienced at other chiropractors. Recommended the 20 visit bundle to relieve discomfort and return for regular adjustments. Overall I think they are affordable prices, especially if you bundle. I would give it a second chance, just not with that doctor. read more

Best Adjustment ever! AMAZING STAFF AND AMAZING DOCTORS!!! I've been struggling with some pain on my neck for about 6 months and so I decided to give this a try and Im glad I did, I feel so much better I can finally turn my neck and it's only been 1 session. My doctor was amazing in explaining everything to me I genuinely feel so much better. I was helped by Gloria in the front desk she was very kind and her speaking highly of the doctors before hand eased my worry because I was very nervous given I've never been to a chiropractor before. They did a pretty good adjustment. I got there with a friend right before their lunch, they took him and told me I'd need to come back when they came back in 30 mins. I respected their request and went to starbucks and came back right before they opened. There was one woman that had gotten there before me. While I was waiting for them to see her, suddenly one after another person walked in that apparently had their subscription, the staff ignored me until all of these subscribers had been seen and then called me in 45 mins later. So coming in to get a quick adjustment then had become an hour and 15 minute ordeal. After that, and then being scolded for not going often enough by the chiropractor and attempting to pressure me into getting a subscription with them, which is a year long contract I don't find myself interested in returning. read more

The lunch hours are from 2-3 stated on the door, I have a short gap in time during work to be able to go and if the lunch hours are not consistent I'm not able to go at all. It's happened on a number of times. Since everyone takes their lunch at the same time it should be consistent rather than leaving a sign saying be back 30 min after 3. Other than that, I enjoy going to the Joint just not that aspect. read more

Extremely disappointed to find out this location made a charge to my card without notifying me. I'm part of their monthly subscription and was offered free appointments. After using my allotted monthly appointments I came in to use my free ones , scanned my membership card and all receptionist said was great! Doctor will be right with you. Two days later I go to a different location, scanned my card and receptionist asked how would I like to pay for my visit. I told her I wanted to use my free appointments ,she then checked and told me I was previously charged. Completely pissed me off since I was never told anything!!! Receptionist apologized and offered to help me get that refunded. If it wasn't for her service I would of cancelled right there and then. Complete unacceptable to charge unauthorized charges to anybody's card. UPDATE management team reached out, and apologized for the unauthorized charge. They werent able to refund me but gave me a free appointment. Received some information about the differences between corporate locations and third party and apparently my free appointments won't be honor here only at my "home location" 3 stars for trying to resolve issue, different outcome but at least they tried. read more

I came to this location based on reviews. And I'm happy I stopped by and fell in love with the staff and doctor. The initial visit is easy and Elaine is the best at explaining what type of packages they offer based on how often you'll need to come in. I absolutely love Dr. Himes his adjustments are always on point I leave feeling relieved and decompressed. I don't know about anyone else but after my visits I have the best night sleep. Since coming here I've recommended my sister and tell all my friends and colleagues about this place. I called this morning to get their availability and the woman on the phone told me that I did not need an appointment but that new patients get seen after 2:30 pm. I got to the office at 3 and the receptionist was all over the place. She was giving people wrong information on their memberships and kept me waiting for 20 minutes until she finally acknowledged me. She first said that I should scan my membership and once I told her I was new she said that they were not going to have time to see me. She asked if I can go tomorrow. Why not have appointments? Why not get two receptionists if one can't be professional enough to greet you once you walk in? Also why is it that if a new patient shows up before 5 people with membership the new patient has to wait until they get seen? So unprofessional. read more

I love coming to this location, since my ex-boss the chiropractor passed away 3 years ago it was difficult for me to find the a good chiropractor like my ex-boss. I have always suffer with pain in my whole back and neck it's been hard for me to find a good chiropractor until I meet Dr. Hynes and Dr. Kevin. Also kristal in the front desk always helps me out when I have a problem or a situation and she goes above and beyond "Thank you so much Kristal". Since I suffer with scoliosis I have to get adjusted every day and if I missed one or more days I start to have horrific pain that I can't move or sleep at night. Outstanding, clean, friendly, definitely coming back! Out of all the chiropractors I've visited surrounding Los Angeles county, this is the BEST one. The customer service is top tier at this location. I really appreciated how despite others being ahead of me in line, the receptionist Crystal took the time to welcome me; usually in a packed lobby, people go unnoticed, but not here. Crystal thoroughly explained the services The Joint offered and even went above & beyond to ask me more questions about my back pain; it didn't feel like I was talking to a robot for once, she actually knew what she was talking about. It felt genuine and personalized, which I appreciated as well. Beyond the amazing customer service Crystal provided, their chiropractors were also friendly and professional, which made the experience fun and definitely something to look forward to. I got an adjustment by Dr. Kevin, which immediately alleviated my tension headache and the lower back ache I had that day. I appreciated how he also asked questions about my daily activities. Ive been going to the joint for years usually switching between Monterey Park, Alhambra, and Arcadia. Today was my first time trying this location. The adjustment did nothing for me and the dr just seemed to "nervous" or "off" where i didn't feel comfortable letting them know i didn't like the adjustment. They also would not stop trying to sell me the subscription even after telling them no 6 times... I wouldn't come back to this location..
