I had a membership for my teenager son and the quick in and out did little to no help. So, I called time after time to cancel the membership and absolutely no one answered the phone AT ALL. I called at different times of the day during their work hours and no answer. I had to come in person to cancel which wouldn't have been an issue but it's been nice if when I called someone had answered to tell me. I see they have a new receptionist and I don't think it's her fault. It just feels like I've paid for the last couple months for NOTHING since we stopped coming as I was trying to cancel the membership. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. I have came in 3 times, including making an appointment! I have been seen 0 times, when I arrived to my appointment I was told that I could not be seen until the week because I wasn't a patient. I specifically came in and scheduled the appointment in person after calling twice, being told to come in and being denied once I got there. I've only gone for that one initial treatment and called 5629252114 to cancel since I have not been using ithe service This clinic will not stop charging your credit card. I've called 3 months in a row now to stop my service and charges. No one calls back. You can't speak to anyone. You're led to leave a message to cancel. And they just keep charging. No good. Horrible!!! I went online made an appointment for here @3:30 and got here 15 mins before as soon as I walk in Dr comes out from the back and ask "have you been here before" and I said no. Without any other question he says that he'll have to refer me to Cerritos because he was busy with a patient and no one was in the front desk. This place was recommended to me by a friend that's why I was willing to try it out but not no more. Read the reviews and know what you are getting yourself into before coming here for treatment. I went in back in March to get relief for a pulled muscle and back pain resulting from rolling my ankle. My regular chiropractor was booked all week and I needed care immediately. I went here after reading the reviews. I guess I didn't read the part about it being a monthly subscription that takes 89 dollars out of your FSA card each month. I was under the impression that I was getting 6 sessions as a one time fee and that I can come any time when I have a flare up. So I go for 1 or 2 more visits and I'm on the mend, as much as it was going to mend me because the guy touched a few points in my back and sent me on way. Stop coming and I forget about it. Come to find out that I have been getting charged 89 a month. I called, emailed, texted corporate. Explained what happened and they said go to the place I signed up. Well, I'm understandably pissed off that this happened. I wait on my husband to go with me to talk because he's better at staying calm in these situations. I figured in the meantime when we were finally able to come in to talk, they cant charge me anymore because THEY CLEARED OUT MY FSA FUNDS. So, we come in to talk to the person at the desk today. We explain what happened and he gave me a form to cancel. We then get to the topic of refunding us the services that were never rendered to me. He said he couldn't do that and that he could only refund the last 2 months and since they were unable to charge the last transactions, that was it on his end. No where in my texts beforehand was it mentioned that they'd only refund 2 months of transactions. We said it still wasn't fair that we were charged for anything that we did not use and that they were basically keeping our money. Guy did not apologize nor care. He doubled down on why we didn't cancel before. We told him that we didn't get that explained to us. He said well you signed paperwork and were aware. I told him no, I filled out forms on an iPad and no where did it mention that this was a monthly program and I was in so much pain, I could have signed off on them owning my 4 year old for all I knew. The guy refused to do anything about it or even offer a solution. The real kicker was him saying "well, since you canceled, we cannot do anything about it. Had you not canceled, we could have done something". Like... are you fking kidding me? He says this AFTER we canceled. We left before it escalated anymore. Horrible business model. Maybe I was a little desperate for some pain relief, but with being told I'd get some relief i readily agreed to the pricing plan, (which is a good price), but requires a 2 month commitment...After 3,4 or 5 visits there was no change in my condition so I wanted to transfer my remaining visits to my wife who could benefit from the service and even continue on with sessions after the initial enrollment period. They rather keep a short term gain instead of a potential long term customer just by extending a little customer courtesy. The cancelation process is a bit of a pain too, I have to personally return to the home office of enrollment to do paperwork...smh read more

Went into the joint for some neck pain that I got during a camping trip and sleeping on a cot. So I go in and am directed by someone in the back to come on back and put my junk in the basket. Dr Tom said " it's been a year so get your stuff and go up front, the. lady that does this is on the toilet she'll be back soon. So I sign a document and get called back again. Dr. Tom pulls out a BP machine and proceeds to check my BP, which is a first time for me to have that done at this practice or any other practice. Machine finishes and Dr. Tom says " ahhh shit". Oh thats reassuring. " ok man, take a deep breath, and let's do this again". Proceeds to take the BP again. BP machine finishes " shit man, yea this isn't good". I ask what the issue is " your BP is all over the place" gives me this long winded info about. the heat and chiropractic care. I said ' I just had 24oz of black cold brew 5 min before getting here, maybe that's why". "well yea that's something a heath care provider may want to know". OK so you know now, how about you get cracking?? No such luck. Dr. Tom " need to see urgent care and come back when you gave this figured out". I said " I just want my neck cracked, but. ok". Never did he actually give me my BP readings. I went to my primary care dr who did a full work up. Dr said my BP was a little high but nothing that is concerning at all. So long story short. Seems like Dr Tom just doesn't feel like doing his job. I wish I could get my $ back from my 2 remaining treatments I purchased as a package. I luckily found a new chiropractor who didn't take my BP and said that was not anything they've heard before. Thanks for nothing Dr. Tom. read more

I was just in there waiting for my initial visit and I felt very uncomfortable with the conversation Dr. Tom was having with his patient where he was accusing the military helicopter and plane accident in Washington D.C. to have caused by the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion program. And that he's glad the Trump ended that program so that they could finally hire the qualified traffic controllers. I totally respect everyone's political views but as a military veteran, I do not condone these accusations. And even though I was really excited to try this place due to my migraines and back issues, I had to explain to the young lady behind the desk that I was very uncomfortable with the conversation which was heard throughout the office and chose to leave instead. read more

This is for the Lakewood, Ca. location. I went to the Lakewood, Ca location tonight because I was having some severe sciatic pain and wanted to see if I could get any kind of relief. I walked in, filled out some paperwork and then met with Dr. Tom. We went through a few mobilization tests and then he told me to lay down on my side. He said he was going to give me a twist and to relax. As I prepared for the twist, Dr Tom. placed his hands on me and then barely moved me. He then told me to roll to my other side where he did the same exact thing, barely touching me. After that, he asked me to go face down on the table. He told me to breathe in and then out and pressed three times on my back, lower, mid and upper back, getting a couple cracks out of it. He then told me to sit up and that we were done for the day. He didn't touch my neck, didn't touch my legs or ankles. No traction work, no leg pulls, nothing. He then told me to go see the Receptionist where he recommended that I come in 3 times this week, 2 times, next week, so on and so forth. I told the Receptionist that I didn't want to go on a plane and that I would just pay walk-in prices. At that time she told me what the walk-in prices were, stating a price that was both higher than the in-store posted price as well as what was posted online on their website. When I told her that those weren't the prices online, she argued with me and told me they were. I went to pull up the website and she just ignored me. She then proceeded to charge me the higher price. I told her it was illegal for her to charge me a higher price than what was posted and that this kind of business practice could land them in hot water. She dismissed my statement and gave me a printout of my receipt. I thanked her, not wanting to cause any more of a scene but did let them know that I wont be coming back nor will I ever recommend them to anyone. The reason why they didn't want to actually work on me properly is because they wanted me to come back 3 times this week and then 2 times for the next two weeks and blah blah blah. They wanted to get me on a membership plan so for that to happen, they wanted to make sure that they didn't do a proper job the first time around. Very much appreciated the services both Chiropractors provided for me. Now 54 years old, my back has gone out many times in my life time, rarely my lower back tho where even numbness appeared in my quads & hamstrings, I gotten adjustment before. I went here Feb 12, Monday around 5:30 pm. This was my first time in this location, I feel like the Dr., which name is Dr.Tom that I've found out after a week of returning to my home clinic was rushing me so much even though there was nobody in line. I was in and out of the clinic 2-3minutes. I get that you might be tired or exhausted from the whole day but please don't make somebody feel bad about being adjusted on a different location. You even cut me off when I was trying to tell you that I'm hurting on a specific location on my back, all you did was to rush and get over with it. I would've understand if there was a long line but there wasn't. You even said "Ok go back to your home clinic next week (and when I looked at you, you added) or you can go back here" bro, you don't tell patients to go back to their home clinic that way you did. You have the skills obviously but missed on the opportunity to listen to your patient. I would not be back on this location and this isn't personal, this is just my experience, and hopefully you don't do this kind of treatment to others. read more

Careful, this place can be a rip off. We're out over $600 due to charges we did not authorize. Even worse, this place depleted our FSA and we no longer have funds to pay for any medical expenses for ourselves or our children. Customer service is nonexistent, both at the clinic location and at corporate. Just a runaround, and what gets lost is adequate care of the patient. We felt both helpless and enraged dealing with this clinic, and it was their error. What a shame. Seriously, find yourself a chiropractor that cares for you. I had a great experience here. I called and they told me to come in the same day. I got there an hour before closing time, filled out some paper work and they called me in shortly. The chiropractor that I saw this day is amazing. He actually explained everything while he was working with me and kept asking if I was ok. Terrible experience today. I normally go to the Seal Beach Joint, which now got combine with the LB joint. So decided to go to the Lakewood location since a it's now the closest. I've been to this location several times, and it's usually really good. But today...No front desk person, so the Dr was manning the front by himself. Poor guy was not ready for that position. And with him in the front, there was no one doing adjustments. There were log in problems, card problems, fob scanner not working. Having to call other branches to get help completing a transaction. So I waited 10min just get in the cue. There was now 6 people waiting. The first guy was doing his initial visit (that'll be 10min only hopefully), a gentleman after him, then me, then 3 people after me. There really should be specific times for new people, or maybe it's only when there's 2 doctors. So... I lost almost 60min here today. The Dr thanked a few of us for our patience and apologized for the wait. He didn't charge the guy that was gonna sign up ($29). He didn't offer anything to the guy before me or myself for our experience. Poor Dr was swamped and I did feel bad for him. He was doing his best and was very nice. But, I'm not sure I can continue with the Joint anymore. This experience was a big bummer. 1 star for the experience. 1 star for the Dr doing his best. read more

Honestly the worst joint location you're better off going to any other one. This doctor barely touches you even does anything to you. When I tried to explain what was going on with me he rudely interrupted as if he wasn't even interested. Really disappointing how little consideration they showed at this location especially since other joint locations really take the time to listen and understand your body then actually put effort into giving you relief. The experience I had with the people who worked there was great. I quit my membership in October 2023, then in January 2024 they started automatically billing my credit card. I've been trying to resolve this for over six months. They have charged me every month, and twice in June. I've asked them to delete my credit card and for a refund. I have sent an email after email, phone call after phone call. A manager or owner would never call back until I said I was coming down there to pick up my money. Then she said she would call me back in two days. It is now been a couple weeks. They basically are fraudulently taking money off my credit card. Today my wife and I visited this establishment, we were welcomed by Lauren at the front desk, she was extremely kind and professional, she assisted us in a timely manner and answered all of our questions, we then met Dr. Tom he was very knowledgeable in his field and shown great confidence which made my nerves calmed down because I didn't know what to expect with today's adjustments. Dr. Tom went over what to expect and to relax while he did the adjustments, after he did todays adjustment I feel a difference! I went a while back thinking I'd keep going, so I subscribed to their membership. Turns out my condition needed medication which they could not provide for me. They let me know I needed to go to urgent care. A month later I get into a car accident that affected my neck and back and lawyers got involved. Now I REALLY couldn't go here anymore. I called to let them know I needed to cancel. They said I had to go in person? I told them I had no transportation due to my car accident. So instead of cancelling my membership, they hold the charge of $80 until 2 months later. I noticed the charge after, and called them right away. They said I needed to say something about it? I was very upset that I was then told I needed to electronically sign some other forms. Why wasn't I told about this the first time I asked to cancel my membership? I asked the person who answered if I can get my refund. All she said was "it's up to the manager" and that they were busy. Bad way to do business. read more
