If I Could Give Dr. Ward 1,000 Five-Star Reviews, I Would The night before meeting Dr. Ward, I found myself praying for a miracle. My back pain was unbearable, and I was desperate for relief. That's when I discovered Dr. Ward on Yelp. Judy, his assistant, was warm and welcoming, encouraging me to come in anytime--even on a Saturday--without an appointment, for only $60 for two treatments. My recent visit to a well-known chiropractor in Newport Beach had left me reeling. She quoted me nearly $9,000 for spinal treatments and described my condition in such dire terms that I walked out feeling anxious and pressured, racing against an imminent deadline before the price climbed even higher. After just a few minutes with Dr. Ward, he carefully reviewed the previous doctor's notes and images, offered me a fresh, encouraging outlook on my back, and explained how it could be healed--without a sky-high price tag. Hearing Dr. Ward give me this new perspective, I felt the tension melt away and became so much lighter and more optimistic. I have never experienced anything like Dr. Ward's way of treating the spine. He looks at it from many angles, including the emotional and behavioral factors that affect the spine. He was able to tell me things about the condition of my spine that were a 110% reflection of what was going on in my life at the time, and even see patterns from my past embedded in the curvature of my spine. Priceless and phenomenal. Just one treatment later, I walked out the door feeling emotional and mentally unburdened, and with a renewed spring in my step! He has an incredible bedside manner, treating everyone as a dear friend that he truly wants to help. A Big Learning Experience As a biodynamic craniosacral therapist, I treat folks with dysregulated nervous systems and teach them to self-regulate so they can shift from a stress response to a state of relaxation, where the body can begin to heal naturally. This experience was a very clear example of how I allowed the first doctor's diagnosis to put me into the "stress" response, thereby accentuating my pain, and the high price tag and time commitment only worsened the condition. Dr. Ward was able to drop me out of the "stress" response, where I could see clearly and feel reassured by the many other healing resources available to me at a very minimal cost. Dr. Ward really helped me big time! I have been struggling with Sciatica and a Knee injury for about 6 months. My back was so stiff I couldn't even stand straight. Finally I decided to pay Dr. Ward a visit and just within my first time seeing him it made a HUGE difference. I was able to walk out of there standing up straight which I have not been able to do for a while. My body felt so much lighter! You can tell Dr. Ward really cares about his patients! What I love about this chiropractor--is that it's a walk in business, so when you're feeling poorly--there is no need to schedule an appointment--just come in (on the days/hours he is open) (T,Th,F 9-6 with lunch break closed 12:30-2:15-and open Saturday 8am-3pm) --and he will treat you quickly to get relief. I suffer from chronic migraines, and chiropractic treatment is one of the limited treatments that really makes a huge difference for me and my pain relief--so Dr. Ward is super helpful is adjusting me to get the type of relief I need. He also is very all-encompassing in his treatment--and can tell a lot about you just from treating/touching your back and spine. (Like he will predict if you are an eldest sibling and what type of stress/duress your body is under/what type of load you are carrying). It is a treatment where you need to be touched--and he is a very tactile guy (I think some people aren't ready for that/ don't have experience with chiropractors and get thrown off by that, but he is a very warm guy who cares --and is a hugger (once you get to know him). I come fairly regularly now (at least every other week) --as the regular treatments help keep my symptoms at bay. The price is $50 flat fee and with that he will let you come back for a follow up treatment. He doesn't take insurance, but my copay with insurance for chiropractor services is $50 anyways (and it would only be one appointment--no follow ups--so it's actually a really good deal for me)! Also I love the massage chairs! (Especially the one with the cold feature and relaxing music sounds)! And he will give you ice for your back/head too. And Judy who works the front desk area- is very nice and warm and wonderful too. So overall I highly recommend Ward Chiropractic services if you are in need of physical help (quickly, efficiently, and affordably)! (Also all chiropractic adjustments are generally very quick--like 2-5 minutes--this does seem wild, but I've been to other chiropractors in my life/-and all the treatments are very quick services--so it is consistent with other chiropractic practices). read more

Hands of a True Healer. I was referred to Dr. Ward from a Colleague/Friend. As soon as I heard my friend's testimony I knew I had to check this place out and I'm so happy I did. After seeing so many other chiropractors and especially with the last chiropractor experience I had I was a bit skeptical but again I at least had to try. In my adult hood I've struggled with lower back pain after an injury and have never been the same. There's months I go with no issues but then I'm surprised some days with issues and that's when the chiropractor really kicks into gear. I usually try to visit a few times throughout the year just for maintenance but sometimes life happens. So since I've been introduced to Dr. Ward I have been in and out of his office more than a handful of times and every time i walk out feeling like a new man... and I walk out not crawling lol The office is cash only, they do not except insurance but trust me the payment is very reasonable and his healing hands are completely worth it. Office visits are first come first served, so no appointments. On some visits he will see you once or maybe ask you to return 2/3 times in the same day or following day at no extra change, it all depends on how he sees what you need. The office is lactated in a big plaza with tons of parking, so if you have a long wait time you can definitely do a bit of shopping or grab some food while you wait. I usually like to try and get the massage chair and relax in that till I'm up. I try to visit during the week and in the mid day, I find it less busy and my wait time is alway reasonable. The Doctor is so cool and so down to earth, he does not only help you with your injuries but he becomes like family and will give you some amazing advice and outlook on things. I seriously can go on and on but if you're in any discomfort or pain I would 100% recommend to check this place out. The best is he helps you the worst is... there can't be any worse lol I like to call to just verify that the office will be open, just so I don't waste my time if they had any changes to their schedule. I hurt my lower back during my travel to California from long driving. I stayed around Carson California, and on Saturday morning trying to find chiropractors around my area that hopefully can help with lower back pain. Unfortunately, most of them full booked. Before I almost gave up, I did try to call Ward chiropractic, and amazingly Dr. Ward didn't take insurance or book schedule, most of his patients all walk-in. Dr. Ward helped me to relieve my pain enough that I was able to do things for that day and drive home to vegas the next day. I only have one treatment from Dr. Ward. I really appreciated his care and his magic hands to make my body less tension and reduced my pain. read more

No, this is a family business with someone who wants you to feel better. Your physical adjustment will come with a mental and emotional adjustment too. I do not trust chiropractors, as an RN I hear and see bad outcomes from neck adjustments & back as well. My cousin recommended this Chiropractic spot. I visited my family in CA and said well let me give it a try. Luckily I was able to walk in without an appointment what a blessing. The waiting area is inviting and relaxing. The Chiropractor was Amazing and has a warm gentle disposition. My session felt very holistic as a whole from start to finish. I was able go get a phenomenal adjustment and a bit of insight as to how a treat myself on a day to day internally. Luckily I was able to get two adjusted this day, since I was heading home and would be back in a few months. My sister went with me for mora support and was not planning on having a session. She somehow was very comfortable after seeing me get adjusted and decided to do it. We both felt great afterwards and couldn't stop taking about our experience there. I had a debilitating headache for 2 straight days and was desperate for relief. I yelped "chiropractors open now" (it was 8am on a Saturday), and found Ward Chiropractic. The 5 star reviews reflect my experience as well. I was greeted nicely and offered a huge ice pack for my back while I waited. I left feeling so much better and my headache was gone! I also had some elbow and groin pain from lifting and previous workouts and that pain was better as well. I honestly couldn't believe it!
