This review is specifically for Dr. Liriam Ramirez-Ortiz! I have been to so many different chiropractors in my life and I know first hand how hard it is to find a good chiropractor. Because I have a monthly membership (and because I drive around a lot from depositions to hearings to court appearences etc.) I get to try out all the joints all around SoCal and I promised myself I'd leave nice reviews for those chiropractors who I believe stand out. I went to see Dr. Liriam because of lower back pain that I've had since foreverago and she is very good at fixing me up. She is very nice, friendly, and professional. She communicates very well and most importantly, she is very thorough. A lot of chiropractors I go to (even at The Joint) only takes a few minutes to do their usual routine adjustments but Dr. Liriam really takes her time and goes through all the necessary motions to make sure I'm feeling better right away. As long as I'm near, I will always swing by. You should definitely see Dr. Liriam if you have lower back pain. It's been life changing for me! Unless her schedules changed, she's in from Tues - Sat. Beyond disappointed, aggravated, and annoyed. They never have a chiropractor available. When they do they always end up leaving early. Yes, I can go elsewhere but I opened my membership with this location (Monterey Park) specifically for convenience and proximity. Why would I want to go out of my way to go to a different facility? Don't get me wrong when they do have a chiropractor, they're always great. I have no complaints about the staff. In reality it's management who clearly can't run a fully staffed business. Im wasting my sessions because it's the end of the month and I find it so hard to be able to come in when they never have a chiropractor available. Wow!!!! Somehow I got lucky and cyber-stumbled upon this place off Google. Why was I lucky? Because if you're anything like me you've badly needed and benefitted from Chiropractic care from your back pains. And you've paid ridiculously high prices. Then if you've moved or your Chiro Guru moved, you had to pay high moola to the next Dr. Back to my luck....dreading shelling out crazy money for like mere minutes of a first consultation and then having your back barely nudged. Yes I know! Then I drag myself in here and learn that their prices are JAW DROPPINGLY reasonable and fair! Not only that but my first treatment - on my months long dying of pain neglected back boneage freaking killing me - actually helped relieve a lot of my pain. They have Price Packages so affordable I was really suspicious at first. But after grilling them with rapid fire questions trying to ferret out any hidden charges or tricks (including reading the plan literature like a cynical hawk) I saw the light. Where to start. I signed up about a month ago at The Aliso Viejo location. I was having pain in the middle of work and found The Joint. I was ecstatic to find they did walk ins. Note: The first location I will do a separate review, moving forward will be solely for the Monterey Park location. I signed up for the service because there was the convenience of going to any location. I found this location was very close to my residence and I could get my next session there. Well, the first time I visited this location they didn't have a chiropractor staffed. The wellness coordinator at the front desk apologized and stated I could go to another location. I wasn't too happy to have to go to another location, but thought this time because I needed it. Next visit, there was a female chiropractor who did a really great job. She had me up and going in no time. That is who the two stars is for. Very professional and good at her job. So, I figured this was going to be amazing. I return today at 10 a.m. There were two others waiting in line outside. After about 20 minutes of waiting in line I opted to leave. Apparently this location can't get it together. Lack of chiropractors and not opening on time, if at all. I didn't stick around to find out because after standing in line for 20 minutes my lower back pain crept in. Save your time and find an independent chiropractor or get a referral through your physician. The McDonald's of chiropractic isn't a good business model especially if The Joint can't keep them staffed. read more

I've been a patient at the Joint for over two years. The chiropractors here are very gentle, experienced and knowledgeable! The equipment they have to adjust their patients are the best, from the drop down tables to the adjusting tool, called The Activator. The cost is affordable in comparison to other places. I know, because I've seen many Chiropractors over a long period of time, and thus far this establishment is the most affordable. Had some shoulder pain for several years and nothing made it heal. Since after a recent accident, getting domino by 2cars behind me, I had to get it checked up. My husband liked Dr. Daniel who worked on him several times when he was injured. He complements Dr. Daniel a lot how he really cares about his clients and does his best to treat every pain on the body. Too bad he was not working at the time when I visited. I was curious if Dr. Daniel would of seen me. I was treated by another male Dr. and he wasn't bad. He did listen to what and how my pains were bothering me. He did some adjustments. The most releaved part of my body was my neck. I was surprised how much he cracked my neck. It didn't hurt at all. My neck is the only part that was releaved. Other places like my heel and shoulder pain were still there. Dr. told me I will need to come in 2-3 times a week to in a month to get it fully adjusted. Lastly, I had a ok experienced with the Dr.. Like how some yelpers commented how they felt rushed to be treated, yea I did felt during the session. I would suggest not to park close to the office because of massive traffic plus people aren't looking both ways. It's best to park a little farther so that you won't have to deal with the traffic and not being able to get out. The area has places to eat and have tea/coffee. I haven't had someone adjust my atlas and axis vertebrae in so long, I began to wonder if they stopped teaching that in Chiro school. He knows his stuff and he's a nice guy. 4 days before my daughters 9th Birthday, I get a call from her school, that she cannot move her neck and is in full on tears. I rush her to Urgent Care, only to be prescribed OTC Motrin and told to give her some Benadryl to help her sleep, use Hot Compressions, and she should be OK. At 3am the following morning, I am woken up by her screaming/yelling because the pain was too much and still could not move her neck. That day, someone mentioned if I had considered a chiropractor, I had not.. reminder this is not 3 days before her Bday (party), which by the way was scheduled for a trampoline park. Anyhoo, I pulled into the Parking lot, as I was headed to order her Cupcakes, and low and behold I see The JOINT sign, and I said to myself, this is a sign. I immediately pulled in and was able to walk straight in. Dr. Ramirez was WONDERFUL. She took her time explaining and demonstrating to my then, 8 yr old, what her spine should look like, and what it actually looked like and showed her what she was going to do in order to help her ease the pain. My daughter was comfortable with the explanation and in less than 3 minutes, of Dr. Ramirez using a tool on her back and neck, she was able to move her neck. Dr. Ramirez recommended COLD not hot compressions, and back to back to back visits, and was later given the OK to partake in her Trampoline Park Party, with some restrictions. I am very pleased with the results and will continue with follow up appointments and signed her up for the Monthly membership for the next several months to ensure the stiffness does not hinder her from regular Childhood fun. I arrived at this location at 1:55 pm on Sunday, they close at 2:00pm, the young lady at the front desk turned me away because they close at 2. Meanwhile, two people were seated, ready to be served. It was my first time visiting this location, after multiple visits to the Rancho Cucamonga shop. It's obvious the young lady at the front desk, who told me "it's a problem" I'm not a member, wanted to get home as soon as possible, which is fine, because I'll move on to another doctor that would like to serve me. I think my hopes were too high and I ended up leaving feeling a bit underwhelmed. Due to my recent moves I haven't been able to see the chiropractor since October. Life got busy with a lot of stress. The doc gave me a pretty hard time for the long time lapse. Instead of showing empathy. No formal introduction of himself. I ended asking introducing myself and asking what his name was at the end of my visit. He is pretty gentle with his adjustments. I think they are still working on ironing out the kinks of this new place. Like better beside manners. I really like the receptionist. She was super sweet and friendly. I really love coming here ! Started my membership here back in March and consistently come back once a week! Dr. Simon and Dr. Yadidi ( sorry if I misspelled) are great! My only upgrade and wish is that they keep their weekend dr more consistent! I work a full time job so it's challenging to get time to come and I feel like on the weekends it's always a different Doctor so the adjustments don't feel consistent. If it was always either doctors mentioned above I feel like patients could get more consistent adjustments to really feel a difference! Just a suggestion! Otherwise I try my best to make sure one of the two doctors are in when I can make time to come! read more

I went in today to be seen by a chiropractor, for a sore neck I've had for a week. The "doctor" told me it had nothing to do with my neck and my glands were swollen. He told me to go to urgent care right away because it was something he could do nothing about. I went to urgent care only to be told this doctor had no idea what he was talking about because it was in fact a muscle that was hurt and humans don't even have glands in the location he said I had swollen glands. What a great waste of time my day turned into. Thanks for nothing! One star is the lowest rating I can give but it truly does not do the justice to the disservice I received. I have been coming here for a few months now and have been so happy with the service and my adjustments I ended up signing up my son and husband as well. Jennifer who takes care of the reception is always courteous and professional and greets us with a smile. She is also very patient when I call to inquire about the wait time before I pop in for my adjustment, Aylin who is there on the weekends is helpful with a smile too, I love going to The Joint because the price could not be more reasonable and the doctors more awesome! Having been under chiropractic care over the years with different doctors I feel that I can safely say that Dr, Yadidi and Dr. Ayres are both excellent doctors. They are both professional, know their stuff and walk you through what they are doing and why when they adjust you the first few times, and even after. They both have slightly different styles but I find them both to be able to successfully provide me relief. this is quite a feat as I am usually very tense. They also provide me with suggestions of stretches, exercises and care to help me care for myself. They are both caring, knowledgeable and helpful! I have had the best experience here. The two different doctors also allow me to bounce back and forth with my treatments and pick the one who I feel best meets my needs or schedule that week, Both are great! I usually go to Dr. Keenan, but he is only there twice a week. My body is so stiff that Dr. Keenan can crack me like a glow stick and it is usually instant relief on my knee and lower back. I tried Dr. Ramirez before, but she was never able to crack my body and my body never felt any relief. She suggested to come in 3x a week and I'm like, "no thanks. I'll stick with Dr. Keenan." I saw there was a new doctor, Dr Abella-Desuyo. I decided to give her chance since she's Dr. Ramirez replacement. Dr Abella-Desuyo was great! I was actually surprised that she can crack my body given that it is stiff. I felt loosey goosey after. I would highly recommend coming here. I usually tell them where it hurts and fix me because I'm broken :) . Both Dr. Keenan and Abella-Desuyo are very smart, knowledgeable, and great chiropractors. read more

So I have been to several chiropractors the past few years. I have prolonged issues with my neck and upper back and I haven't had adjustments in some time due to how expensive it is. Then I found The Joint! I'm doing the wellness plan of 4 adjustments a month for only $69! One of my other chiropractors I went to charged $40 per visit.
