staff was nice but what the doc did was cheap, honestly was the most basic visit I've ever had at a chiropractor. went in with back pain, explained my issues. tried to adjust my back, didn't work, only tried two adjustments and like i I said didn't work, seemed like he didn't know what he was doing, no power and horrible technique, he did get my neck good but my back is what's bothering me. really just felt like give me your money kinda thing masked with a smile. you seriously need years of schooling for this and what he did you could teach a monkey on YouTube. Sooo disappointed. If there all like this not sure how they stay in business. Will definitely not be going back and not recommending them to anyone. And he then trying to get me to sign up for monthly lol. I'm not going in twice a week to get ripped off and to get no relief. read more

I love coming here, I just have been disappointed about the cleanliness at this location. I came In 2 weeks ago and I swear this place has not been cleaned since then... it looks exactly the same. Dusty tables broken tile pieces scattered. During a time of covid I'd expect it to be clean! Staff is friendly and the docs in the back are great! This location has gone so far downhill that it is amazing. They have gone through so many doctors in the last 2 years. I have found out through research that it is not the doctors fault, it is the owner of this location. He is not even a chiropractor, and he treats his doctors and employees like they are slaves. It is my feeling that if you are taking my money, every month, that I should be afforded a certain level of service. As a business owner, you are failing in a spectacular way. Today, I stop in to get a adjustment, and the sign on the door reads, that this location is only open on Tuesday. WTF! You owe all your members a complete refund of our money, for the nightmare you have created at this location. To The Joint, franchise supervisors, you need to pull this franchise. Dr. Andy is great! I went in for an adjustment after my second month back at work after maternity leave. My neck has been killing me. Dr. Andy uses some different techniques that worked great for me & I instantly felt better. I will be back next week for maintenance! read more

I came in today and saw doctor Ramirez and he was just plain awful. He didn't explain what he was doing and suddenly and very sharply cracked my neck! It hurt SOO badly! I told him that I warned him my neck was sore and he didn't care. Ten seconds later I'm being shoved out the door. I'm reporting for this company to my credit card company and I won't be paying for this garbage or ever coming back! First time going to the Joint Chiropractic on Sat 9/16/23. I made an appt for the day beforehand. I called Sat morning to confirm my appt. The front desk person said she could find me, so she just put me on the schedule. O asked her to email me the intake form so I could fill it out electronically and email it back to her, which I did beforehand. I got there at 12N and waited about an hour. As I'm waiting, I could hear every patient before me talking about their personal health issues, and so could everyone else in the lobby. What in the world happens to confidentiality and HIPPA regulations? Anyhow, I met with Mr. Slim beach tan buff dude, I mean Dr. Fernando. This guy's bedside manners are HORRIBLE. He yells out my name to come to the back, then looks at me, says hi, and proceeds to say, "So what's up, what's wrong with you?" What a nucklehead. He looks at my chart and then says, "Lay down on the table face down." He massages my back legs, then gets his massage tools and massage gun. Then I asked, "Are you going to give me an adjustment cause that why I came in?" He said Oh, you want that?" He must have Nucklehead head syndrome. Then he attempts to get me into form to adjust me, and I tell ya, this guy was huffing & puffing. His hands were all sweaty, too. I think my time with him lasted 10 minutes. What a joke. I left to pay, and he gave the front desk girl a recommendation treatment plan, and I was like, No Way am I coming back. Let me just pay for this $29 initial visit and never come back. What a FREAKIN JOKE...! You call this place a chiropractic office? NEVER COMING BACK. read more

First and foremost I'm not sure why they list themselves as a "chiropractic" office when they are just a "wellness clinic". The man who saw my husband today acted as if he had absolutely no knowledge of chiropractic work and how to assess and treat patients. He continually insinuated that my husband likely had a back injury and needed to see a "professional". Sir, what are you supposed to be then if you're not a professional?? Had he read my husbands paperwork he would have seen that the discomfort he was having was intermittent and not continuous. There would be no reason and no indication of a back injury. After trying to talk him OUT of the adjustment he finally laid him on the table, softly pushed on his middle back (didn't crack anything), cracked his neck, and then had him on his side to crack his lower back. He didn't feel around at all to feel anything, didn't ASSESS anything. He recommended my husband do some core strengthening exercises to help strengthen his back, that we knew already. But couldn't offer any stretches or anything to do before his basketball games or anything to help loosen the tight muscles in his lower back. This place really is just a glorified back cracking place if you can't do it on your own. If you want an ACTUAL chiropractic office, go elsewhere. They have no equipment here, no rolling tables, no stretching machines nothing. My Back was super sore and messed up so I thought I would try this place since it was 29 dollars for an initial exam and adjustment. The place is nice and clean and the staff was super great I am not a big fan of doctors of any kind but they put me at ease. Not a big fan of the large amount of signing and reading forms for the first visit but I think that is standard. The Chiropractor/Adjuster examined me, then cracked my back in all sorts of places, I was at first not very pleased (never done this before) and kind of wanted to punch him in the face. But after he was done I felt much better, and I actually felt lighter walking and all around a really great experience. read more

Typically I love the joint. I've had a membership for YEARS! I have always prided myself with going each week just to stay straight. However, we moved to riverside and this location is terrible. They don't even adjust, they use utensils for their practice which I could do at home. I come to be ADJUSTED!! It's a waste of time and money. I now drive 30-40 min with traffic to the Lorenzo valley location at love it. Also riverside always has a terrible receptionist with an attitude and they are always sooo busy, they never provide an update on how long you anticipate to wait. read more

When Dr. Maddi was here, my adjustments were on point. He was able to make adjustments without wrenching my neck around and took the time to soften the muscles around the adjustment area. I would always leave feeling better. Today, there was a substitute, Dr. Berger (not sure on spelling), and she totally messed up my neck. I went in because I couldn't move my neck backwards, although I was able to move it forward and left and right. Now I can't move my neck in any direction. She was pretty forceful with my neck and when I told her it hurt and I still couldn't move it, she just told me to ice my neck because it was probably muscular. It's now been 2 hours and I've been icing it off and on and I have a headache, a stiff neck, and it hurts even more than when I had first came. I'm hoping it will subside with time, but regardless of what happens, any chiropractic adjustment should not be forceful or result in more pain beyond what someone has been experiencing when it was out of place. I've been going to several chiropractors through LA & Orange county and the inland empire, and violent adjustments like this one should not happen. I've had a lot of different adjustments, but chiropractors who push through in a way that causes you more pain are not good practitioners. I'm providing 2 stars instead of 1 because I was seen in a timely manner, and she did make better a minor issue I had with my ankle and leg. I miss Dr. Maddi! Did not even get a chance to come in and be seen. I signed up for the $29 adjustment because I am having neck pain, I was called to schedule an appointment but was advised to not come in and be evaluated but to go directly to the ER. I don't understand how I can be advised to go to the ER, one without even being seen and two, I had no injury to onset this pain. I found it very unprofessional to turn a person away who is seeking services as this is supposed to be your expertise. read more

If it weren't for Dr. Maddi, I probably would have given up on the pain in my lower back and had surgery. Since I've been coming to see him, he has really turned my life around in a very healthy and uplifting way. I no longer need as much or any medications for pain, I've been so much more active because I feel better, I've lost weight, sleeping at night is relaxing and deep, and I'm really in a much more positive spot in my life than I have ever felt. Overall, my life has improved ten-fold. Dr. Maddi has so much knowledge and always works with care. He is a constant reminder that making time to live healthy and take care of your spine is what I most need. How lucky I am to have him close by and available anytime I walk in. Decided to reach out to this facility because the $29 new patient schedule seemed to be good compared to other businesses I was calling. When I arrived as a walk-in, I did the assessment on the iPad, which took about 20 mins to finish. Then the Dr. called me back. He didn't even come out to get me, he just shouts your name telling you to "come on back." I was confused on where to go it being my first time there, and didn't even who I was even speaking to. I was a little nervous it being my first time to see a chiropractor. Not only was it painful, but the entire appointment felt rushed and nerve racking. The assessment felt longer than the adjustment! I know it was more of a consultation on seeing what my options were going to be IF I decided to move forward, but after that experience I decided not to. read more

I will not return to this location. I arrived for my scheduled appointment 10 minutes early to be respectful of the doctors time. However, that respect had not been returned. He absolutely had no regard for my time. After waiting 30 minutes Dr. Maddi comes out to inform me he will be walking across the street for a drink, he returns 15 minutes later with 3 friends/customers ... Dr Maddi takes his friends to the back, adjust them as I can hear the small talk (no urgency to see a new client).. so at this point I had been waiting 70 mins past my scheduled appointment. Incredibly disappointed! I had a great first appointment the other day. Today i brought my girlfriend in for her first appointment before leaving on vacation. Please make it clear on your website that new patients need to come in over an hour before closing time. Dr Maddi and the staff are awesome and very personable. I been coming here for over a month. Walk-in are welcome but you need to do it before 3 pm because after that the day is ruled by clients whom made appointments. If you are a public servant or has or is current serving our country, you need to come here. He will give you a good deal. I can say that Dr Maddi truly cares and will give you the correct amount of time needed before he moves in to the next member so if he is running behind, just be patient because he cares for each patient equally. They don't have an on-site X-ray but he will send you down the road to get some if he needs to see what level of hidden issues you have. read more

I've been going to the joint for a little while now everyone there super friendly Dr Maddi is awesome he puts his time into each patient instead of just churning them out he takes him time to adjust your correctly. The receptionists are always awesome it's like a small family. I have also been adjusted by some of the other doctors they have working there and they do an excellent job as well ! I would also like to address some other comments on here that Dr Maddi closes down for veterans only which is simply not true. He routinely works through lunches to make sure the people who are waiting in the lobby get seen. Also the allegations that the joint closing down and under investigation are untrue. Also they do not try to up sell their packages they have a few plans/packages which are clearly stated on a sign sitting on the reception desk so you can choose the one best for you. read more

I love The Joint! I've been a patient here since February 2017. I workout a lot and played football in high school so I've had a history of lower back and sciatic pain. After going to numerous chiropractors all over the Inland Empire, looking for relief, The Joint Riverside is my chiropractor of choice. There are so many reasons why this place is great. For one, the staff is very friendly and personable. They always make you feel at home. Also, Dr. Madi and the team of chiropractors are very personal and professional. They spend time on your adjustment, making sure to get the treatment your back and body needs. They don't rush through giving you a mediocre adjustment just to get through as many patients as possible. I have now been a member here for 3 months and this is one of the best decisions I have made. Dr. Maddi is a miracle worker. I come in once a week to get adjusted and it has truly made a big difference for me. Since I sit at desk all day with bad posture over the years this has caused my back, shoulders, neck to hurt a lot. I used to be a member at massage envy getting my once a month massage, but it only temporarily relieved the pain. Dr. Maddi is very professional yet welcoming, he makes you feel comfortable throughout the whole adjustment session.
