I have great health insurance so I could go to a chiropractor and have a $10 co pay. But I prefer to go here because I do not have to make an appointment (I don't think that I've ever waited more then 5 minutes), they don't try to sell me vitamins or massages, and they don't try to convince me to pay for other services that I don't need. I have only been going to the chiropractor for about 3 months. Dr. Chris is by far the best doctor. I feel a lot better after visiting him. The other doctors are ok, but I don't feel a whole lot better after I leave. It's in a very convenient location, isn't time consuming, and is reasonably priced. Be very leery of signing up for their $49 monthly plan. Hidden In the fine print is a clause that you must give 30 day notice for cancellation. This means if you only need a month of care or don't know if you will need a second month, you must give written notice of cancellation on the day you sign up for it. Other wise you will be automatically charged for the second month whether you need/want it or not. I had an acute injury and I was in pain. The reception area was dark making it difficult to read the contract. And, quite frankly, I was in too much pain to really care. They give you too much information to digest at one time. I was given a page of fine print and told to initial all of them. I recall being told when my billing date would be but do not recall being told I needed to cancel 30 days in advance....meaning...that day. Other than their sneaky automatic billing policy the care was good. Unfortunately the extra $49 I was charged for the second month makes it unlikely I would recommend this company. read more

We were new to Arizona in 2013 when we were seeking to continue Chiropractic Care. We went to a few other joint locations seeking a Dr that was close to style we like and so far this is our favorite location. We've seen Dr. Nick and Aaron and both and they've have been amazing! Both use more force in the adjustment which my husband and I prefer. However I just heard Dr. Aaron has moved locations. Today we saw Dr. Cady and she's good but a little lighter of an adjustment in her style. I guess it's all about personal preference and chiropractic style you desire. We love the pricing and friendliness here as well. Only thing I don't know or understand is why they don't suggest x-rays like many other places for new patients. This was my first chiropractic experience. I'm 34 y.o. I have suffered from a pinched nerve in my upper back and neck which recurs ~ 4 x per year for the past 10 years. My initial visit was pleasant and the conversation and interactions were pleasant. This place is actually pretty nice. I was referred by a friend but was a little scared because of the price (it's low). Turns out that its well decorated and comfortable up front. The Dr. was nice and definitely got me to crack. The thing that scared me at first was the price but that turned out to be the best part! I paid about $20 for my first adjustment. I have been coming to this location for the last 5 months and received excellent chiropractic treatment for my pain. Each doctor listens to and cares about my well being. I love The Joint at Dana Park! We have a family plan and it makes it so we can get four adjustments a month for a great low price. Prior to coming to The Joint our co-pay was $40 per visit. Now three of us get four visits each for less than one visit each through our insurance. We walk in, hardly ever have to wait, and we feel so much better when we leave. Dr. Conway really listens and works on the areas that are bothering us the most. This is the best! read more

I've come here twice now, one week apart. The front desk staff is friendly. The doctor who has worked on me both times is unimpressive. He never asked what the issue was; I had to have him wait to start until I told him what was going on. Then today he asked me to start lying face down--I'm seven months pregnant. I was a week ago at the previous visit too so I'm not sure if he just didn't bother to look at me or any notes? After each adjustment, I still limped out. No improvement. I won't be returning here. This was my first time at a chiropractic place, so I have nothing to compare it too. I was really happy with the service I received, the girl at the front desk was very sweet and the doctor seemed to know what he was talking about, even showed me on a model spine what my problem areas looked like and what the goal was to fix them. As for the cracking itself- soooooo relieving! They have month to month membership programs that can make it cheaper, and what I loved is that I didn't have the time or money to sign up right that minute and there was zero pressure to sign up. This would be a five-star review if it weren't for one Dr. Stewart (Stuart?). I was moving, just recovering from a nasty cold, and also at the tail end of a back problem that began with muscle spasms which had only just stopped, and so my alignment was not staying put as it should. The first time he saw me, instead of listening to what I had to say about what was going on and treating me accordingly, he made assumptions and snap judgments about me, my medical history, my financial state, my lifestyle choices, and my reasoning/decision making processes. He may have been trying to sell me a monthly membership, but when I asked him to stop he persisted, even though I was having a stressful day and was already in pain, on edge, and near tears. His words? "I'm trying to help you, don't you want my help?" Well no, not really, I wanted an adjustment. If I want a life coach I'll go to a life coaching store. He accused me of not understanding chiropractic and not caring about my spinal health ("why aren't you making your spinal health a priority by using regular chiropractic treatments?"). He implied very strongly that I am unaware of my own body ("have you ever seen an x-ray of your spine?"). He tried to shame me into seeing it his way, ("what is holding you back from taking care of your spinal health, tell me about it. Is it lifestyle, finances, what?") Hello? I was there, was I not? I had been there 4 days earlier, and approximately 2 times a week for the last few months. He then said to me, "You only come to treat pain - you come when you are in pain and expect a magic fix, and that is not how chiropractic works." Seriously?!?! He had no basis for saying that to me, beyond the fact that I was in pain and had confidence that an adjustment would remove the pain. Since that's pretty much how it works for me when done properly. He adjusted my spine, upsetting me the whole time, and when he was done he refused to adjust my knee because, "I do spinal manipulation for better health. Yoga or Pilates would probably work for your knee, as crazy as that might sound." Five out of six chiropractors seen at The Joint (in Dana Park and in Tempe Stores) were able to recognize that my knee had been pulled out of alignment by the chain of spasms in my back and hips that were pulling SI joints and hip joints all out of alignment and turning me into a corkscrew. THEY adjusted my knee as well as my back and I walked out of those visits without pain until the spasms returned. This guy allowed me to limp out on a misaligned knee, so now I have to go back to get adjusted properly by SOMEBODY ELSE. But I will go back to get adjusted properly because my experience with the other practitioners at The Joint has been the polar opposite of what happened with this guy. Typically they ask me what is going on, they look at my history file, and then they examine/adjust. Sometimes they have a recommendation for home follow-up or additional treatments. They have all been very kind and I have received what I believe was excellent treatment in their hands. One bad apple doesn't have to ruin the whole barrel. read more
