Hello, it's is good for kids 8 and 9 years old?

Hi, thank you for your interest in Holly, the Jolly Trolley! The Jolly Trolley is really designed for children ages 1-5. We have definitely done fun 5th and 6th birthday parties and when older kids come aboard, they have a blast with their younger… Read more

However, we were gifted a Groupon so that's how we knew about OUAC. When we went it was a cloudy and rainy day so it wasn't crowded at all, which was nice. The place was unique because it had many different stations and activities for your kids to play. It's like a huge Montessori playground. My boys loved the train ride and riding on the dinosaurs the most. I like that the place includes both indoor and outdoor stations. The place seems rather small compared to an amusement park like Six Flags, but it's just enough. Kids can easily spend 30 minutes - 1 hour in just one location so I really like how they can enjoy their time and casually play without parents feeling overwhelmed to get everything done to maximize the amount of money spent. We didn't host a birthday party here, but there were other parties booked. I don't know how much it costs, but let me say that the decorations were beautiful! I'm not sure if it was included or if the parents decorated themselves, but if you wanted to go all out for your child, you certainly can. The staff were also ALL super sweet and friendly! The place plans for everything, like rain. They had numerous umbrellas for patrons to use within the grounds. When it started to rain, all the staff were asking if we needed umbrellas, and one even was willing to run in the rain to get us one! Seriously, I've never seen such hospitality in an establishment from everyone! I also would recommend going here on a weekend because according to their website, more stations and activities are open during that time. Even if it's more crowded, I think it is worth it. If you want to do something different for your child, then I would recommend this place!

As for us grandmas, our favorite part was watching the kids have such a great time and being able to let them free to be kids. Right when you walk in, it feels like instant fun. The host was pleasant and got my daughters set up right away with plastic bibs and shoe booties to protect your clothes. She also confirmed what size canvas they wanted. I left at that point because although I paid for the experience, it was for the 2 girls. I can tell you fun happened that day. They came out bubbling about how good a shot one was and how it was so much fun and how they got to paint on the walls after they spun the canvas. They will go back in a few days to pick up their painting after it fully dries. There is a few different experiences that you can do so I'm sure my girls will be back!

The staff were very helpful during the process and ensured our paints were full. I enjoyed being in our own space, away from others. one thing I wish I could compare more is the price ($80 per person). We did the smaller bears and other locations have it starting at $50. I understand things cost money, but that was pretty steep, in my opinion, for an experience that lasted all of 15 minutes.

My only complaint is it felt very stuffy and not well air-conditioned or ventilated. After 2 hours of play on a hot Houston morning, the kids were flushed and everyone was dripping in sweat! "Socks only" play in the main play zone, which hosts a big structure, 2 stories, basically a kids' obstacle course. So many things to jump on, climb, and slide down, made mostly of foam and inflatable material for cushioning. Adults have plenty of seating right in front of the play zone, where they could enjoy a coffee or concessions and enjoy a mom's meetup. They have a few hot & iced coffees available to order, along with some grab & go bottled drinks. There are also a couple of private rooms for hosting parties. Came here for a friend's birthday party, and the kids (ages 2 to 5) had a blast.... They spent a pretty penny ($700 for the middle tier "Premier" package) but it included: - Admission for 15 kiddos - A face painter hired for an hour - Dance party & photos with the monkey mascot - Meal (chicken nuggets & pizza) plus snacks - Room decorations & cake cutting - Gift Bags for guests Food is pretty decent. Cute spot for fun & safe play. ...Just wish they kept the temperature a bit cooler, with so much activity.

Bluey camp I bought this as an Eid gift for my children. We…read moreare definitely a bluey household. My daughter had a bluey themed birthday party just about a month earlier, and most of her clothes are adorned with bluey and bingo. So when I saw that this camp was in town, I knew we had to make it. First things first, which is that we spent just a couple of dollars short shy of $200 for our family of 7 (baby was free so we only bought 6 tickets). At least they didn't charge for the baby, although I'm always annoyed when things like this charge for adults. The check in process was easy and the girl who gave us the tour going in (Sophia) was fun and easy going. You pretty much explore the house for 50 minutes, before you actually are able to meet bingo and bluey. So you're essentially killing time for about an hour. When we came in, they played keepy uppy and had a little dance party later and coloring sheets. It was essentially what I did at my daughter's birthday party, but with strangers. I do wish they had more fun things going on. They definitely could have incorporated more. Because giving kids coloring shades seem like a cop out... That could have been something to just give the kids before they left. Having a dance party and playing keepy uppy is nice, but I felt like the people working there could have done more things or had more fun. A few of the people seem to stay "in character", but some were just doing their job. The house had details from the show, but it also could use a good cleaning and update some of the things. Almost an hour of that seemed to have lulls. I didn't mind it too much because I started feeding my baby, but I can see how just following your kid around in a house would get tiring when they want to see their favorite characters. We finally got to meet bluey and bingo and the person in that room was great about taking our pictures. They informed us that taking the pictures with them would be $15, so we opted to just take pictures on our phone. Whe we were leaving, they had Johnny pops Popsicles in a freezer and I was going to get six of them for our family and they informed me that they are only for kids, even though they charged for the adults. So that was a bummer, but also unnecessary. I asked for one for my younger daughter, and girl at the counter laughed, and I said I was serious. The girl at the counter literally would not give me a popsicle for my other daughter who had to go to the restroom, and waited for her to come back from the restroom just to hand her a popsicle. It left a sour taste in my mouth even though it was not sherbert (get it? Bluey reference). We spent almost $200 and could not have been given less than $8 worth of Popsicles. Ridiculous. Other than that girl with black hair and glasses, everyone else over there is going to be helpful and nice, and it was a fun experience for my children.

Our small group started with miniature pony brushing and then got to dress up their animals in various accessories. From there they got on smaller horses with a guide leading them and learned basic skills, like stopping (whoa) and had a lot of fun riding around the enclosed area circle. They even played a few games like red light green light. After that they learned to walk with the miniature ponies and even got to take them over a jump and through an obstacle course. We then finished the day with a little carriage ride with the owner, Paige. The highlight of their visit (they said later) was learning to clean out a horse stall. Who knew they loved cleaning so much! All of the guides were wonderful. The main gal that did the instructing was just so lovely and sweet to the kids explaining everything with patience. Definitely a must visit for anyone looking for this kind of experience in the area.

Some things to know when traveling to get here make sure you turn on 10655 Katy Hockley Rd. There's a black mailbox that has an arrow to turn there. I truly hate to write a review like this, but as a fellow business owner, I believe in the…read moreimportance of customer service. I always strive to treat people well, even in moments where I may feel I'm right. That's just part of doing good business. Back in August 2019, I rented the Dripping Slime bus for our kids and nephew to make slime. The owner was kind and respectful, even though the air conditioning wasn't working in the Houston heat. I chalked it up to growing pains since she had just started the business, and I appreciated her professionalism and warmth. Fast forward to yesterday, I was excited to bring my 3-year-old daughter to the storefront for her first slime experience. She wasn't born yet during our first encounter, but she's really into slime now, so I thought this would be perfect. When we walked in, the initial staff was welcoming, although they didn't seem to know about our reservation. No big deal they got us started right away. There were a few teenage boys working, and while it was clear they were still learning how to engage with customers, they were polite, helpful, and attentive. Everything was fine until the owner arrived. The moment she walked in, the energy completely shifted. I instantly recognized her as the woman who helped us in 2019, and I was genuinely looking forward to congratulating her on the success of opening a storefront and offering encouragement. But I never got that chance. She came in with a visible attitude and immediately began loudly scolding and cursing at the teenage staff, right in front of customers and children. Her language was inappropriate, and the tone was aggressive. There were only two customers present: myself and another mother with her young son. My daughter is just 3 years old, and the other kids in the space couldn't have been more than 10. None of us were acknowledged or greeted, just subjected to that energy. It was uncomfortable, unprofessional, and extremely disappointing. The entire atmosphere shifted in a way that no parent would want their child around. What hurts most is that I intentionally chose this business over other options, like Slimoo, because I wanted to support a Black-owned business. But as a community, we have to do better. Success isn't just about having a great product or idea, it's about how you treat people. And the repeated complaints in her reviews about poor customer service suggest this isn't a one-time thing. Unfortunately, I won't be returning or recommending this place. The teenagers there did their best, and I feel for them, as well as for the customers who experienced that energy. But ultimately, the owner's attitude will be the downfall of this business if it doesn't change. People will go out of their way to support great service, even if the product is just average. But if the service is bad? Customers will go elsewhere. I sincerely hope the owner takes this as an opportunity to reflect, seek some customer service training, or perhaps reevaluate if this industry is really the right fit. Not every path is meant for everyone, and that's okay. But treating people with kindness and respect should never be optional.

I was definitely skeptical however, I am sooooooo glad she did!!! The party was cute, unique, the hosts were attentive and they made great use of the time that was given to celebrate the birthday girl! At one point, even the owner was helping out! Honestly, as one of the parents watching and taking pics of the kiddos, I was secretly hoping someone wouldn't show so I could get in on the fun! This is a small space and I must've bumped into one of the hosts at least 5-10 times over the course of the party (taking pics and tending to guests) but never once was an eye rolled or any inclination that I was in her way! She politely smiled and said, you're no bother at all! Her patience with the kiddos was unmatched! And we had some eager little ones! Lol. There was also a moment where guests were uncomfortable with the temperature, I asked the host if it was okay if we lowered the air just a bit... I was truly expecting her to be like, REALLY?!?!? Lol! But again, she said oh yeah, I can do that right now (and that she was warm too )! This review is getting lengthy, I know, so I'll wrap it up... But in closing, don't let previous reviews stop you from enjoying this experience! Our kiddos and parents had a great time and I'm planning to return with my daughter for some mommy and me QT! Great job Dripp'in Slime! Thank you for being creative and stepping out of the norm to deliver an experience that keeps young kids engaged and excited!
