The kids tried a bit of painting, digging in the kinetic-like sand for artifacts, and we tried our hand at the air hockey table game. The place is small, but does have enough assorted activities to keep kids busy. The price is great, and you get to stay til 5 during the week. Overall, it's more geared for kids younger than age 9. I'll be honest, I used to really like this place I would bring my daughter all the time when I lived close. However there's several things that have always bothered me about it and have unfortunately not improved over the years: 1) cleanliness- the restroom, including the changing table are always dirty. Like, really dirty. I even chose to change my daughter in her stroller today over the changing table cause it was filthy & hot in there. I also had to ask the worker to please refill the soap dispensers because the only two they had anywhere were empty .. gross. The paper towel dispensers were also empty. 2) lazy staff- all they do is sit there on their phones! As I mentioned, I did have to ask to have the soap refilled and she did it. But there were many other things she could've been tending to instead of sitting on her phone for the 2 hrs I was there like clean the restroom, or sanitize some toys, tidy literally anything! I understand there's kids playing and a mess will be made again but come on .. the painting area needed refilling, the paint containers were near empty and the paper for the area as well. Keep things stocked so they're actually be able to be enjoyed. Why can't the staff stay on top of these things ? & the thing is, it's been like this EVERYTIME I've come .. that's pretty sad. It was also pretty hot in there since it's summer but the worker couldn't even bother to turn on the fans.. these may seem like little things but they definitely add up. Especially with little ones. Just updating my review from a year ago! Yesterday I had a pleasure of hosting my daughter's 4th birthday here. I've been here before during their free play and my sister rented this place out for my nephew's birthday over a year ago. I normally host parties at home but thought I'd do something different this year. My daughter's birthday was on the 9th and it was a Sunday. I looked on their website alittle over a month ago and they had one slot left for the date so I booked it immediately. Deposit is required to hold the date/time. A few day before the party they sent me a text in details about what to expect and asked for confirmation. Few days after I called the venue to ask about the colors of the balloons. I told them the theme would be K-pop Demon Hunters and I had requested if they can play the songs and they were happy to. The day of the party they allow 20mins of set up and they have a wagon you can use to load things up. I honestly brought more things than I needed which they had already provided such as utensils and plates. There are 2 hostess that helped us set up. These gals knew what they were doing. I came in the the colors were on point from the balloons, table cloths, center pieces and backdrop it was beautiful!!! Wish I had taken more photos! They helped set up and cleaned up so fast and efficiently. We had so many compliments with the party location and the decoration! They played K-pop Demon Hunter songs and it was on replay!!! There's something for all kid ages. They have a ball pit, indoor playground, painting, play doh, bounce house and more. We had such a great turn out so many family and friends stopped by. My daughter wanted to invite some of her friends from school and they came and everyone had so much fun even their parents were thinking of hosting their next children's parties here. They require each child to have a signed waiver. Up to 30 children allowed after that it's $10/child. It's 2hours of play. The venue hosts were amazing I was going back and forth trying to see what I should be doing because I'm not used to hosting a party and doing absolutely nothing!!! What an amazingly easy way to celebrate a little one's birthday. There are so many options here for little and big kids to play! Lots of spaces to sit and chat while the kids interact with a variety of stations, like art, dress up, bounce house, pool table, air hockey, play kitchen, giant jungle gym type thing, under 3 area with a ball pit, and a virtual video game thing that's very cool. The place was so well air conditioned too!! I don't know how they do it; but even with all the running around on a hot day everyone was chill. We were able to bring out own food and drinks. There are some limitations on like dessert/candy tables, but I don't remember exactly what since we were going to host any. They allow you to also use vendors (balloons, entertainers, etc.). The small "catch" is they and you only have 20 minutes before your party to set up. But for us, we brought everything so and the party hosts helped, so it was more than enough time. I also LOVED that I could use their website to set everything up and book my event. You select the day and the time and type of party (week day, weekend, private, semi private, etc). You can also pay to have them decorate for a certain theme too. None of the themes fit, so we just opted out of that, and I still love how they set up for us. ) I LOVE knowledgeable/interactive websites. You pay the deposit when you book and the rest after party was over. During the party, the party hosts time everything. They tell you at a certain time that they will do cake, a family photo, a group photo of kids, etc. I would say that the group photo part was hard for our two year old because we sang happy birthday and she had her eye on the cupcake, and then they took the group photo after, so that could be a hard transition for the little ones. Maybe doing kid photo first then going into cake and family photo. ? Restrooms are on site, and include a changing table and I believe a step stool. I don't think I have any negative feedback. The Jungle Party House in the Sierra Vista mall meets all my expectations of open ended/Montessori play for my 3 1/2 year old. It reminds me of being in an episode of Barney in the 90's in the best way. We've been to many other indoor play places due to rain or extreme heat, or needing some socialization. This is by far our favorite. There are so many options for all ages. There is dress up, a stage, music, painting, puzzles, blocks, magna tiles, lego, board books, lockers, purified water filter to fill up throughout the day, play doh, stencils, water color, coloring, stickers, kinetic sand, a bounce house, a fully stocked play kitchen, cars, an enclosed area that has a couch and virtual game on the floor, there's a slide & indoor zip line. We love the pool table, air hockey and foosball as well. It's safe, affordable ($10 for child, $2 for adult very reasonable), it's clean, promotes autonomy which different heighth tables, chairs, stools, or tower. The Jungle Party House has plenty of snacks available to buy and most importantly not demonized or penalized for bringing in your own food. I feel safe knowing there is a gate & waiver/check in. The staff is always friendly and very attentive. I forgot to mention the massage chairs, bean bag chairs and lots of seating to sprawl out and enjoy yourself as well. We went to the jungle house at 145 paid the $10 fee and the $2 fee for my husband and I . We left at 215 to pickup my older daughter from school . I had a hair appt and so my 13 year old daughter went with my husband to help with our 2 year old, the Hispanic lady was very rude to my husband and said he had to pay the $10 fee for my daughter , he explained she is not playing and will be in the kiddie ball area to assist him with her . She said no and my daughter had to wait outside the venue! She had to sit outside in the mall chairs waiting for my husband! "WE DON'T SERVE SPECIAL NEEDS KIDS!" That's the message we got when we attended a party today with our special needs daughter. We got eye-balled sideways when we first arrived and put our daughter in the ball pit. The staff appeared to understand when they saw that she was clearly not acting her age. She sat in the ball pit and minded her own business just laughing away. She did get a little rowdy and was tossing the balls out of the pit when everyone started eating and she was alone in the ball pit. One staff asked her to stop throwing the balls out. We told the staff person our daughter is non-verbal; that when they threw the balls back she thinks they are playing; that we were going to clean up our food and tend to her. As I was washing my hands I saw a staff person talking to the party host. Sure enough before I got back to the ball pit area my wife was already pissed off, and save for our relationship with the party host the one staff person who said kids with special needs were not welcomed almost got laid out by momma bear. We left before things got too heated. No apologies, just muttering under their breaths about our daughter. Hours of fun for 1 year old and 4 year old.. Pricing is good. Would not recommend going in the winter months, likely your kids will get hit hard with some aggressive viruses as mine did. Since it was such a fun place for them, next time we will go in the warmer months and I will bring sanitizer hand spray to constantly be cleaning their hands. Customer service was friendly. Overall fun place for the little ones to hangout. If possible, we will try to avoid the foam pit next time which is where I think my kids picked up the bacteria/viruses that caused their illness for a good 3-4 weeks. [Review #482] 2019 Yelp 100 Challenge (141/100) It was quite cold with rain on the horizon, & I was happy to discover an indoor kids activity center, The Jungle Party House, located in the Sierra Vista Mall just east of Kohl's. Some guests have said their older kids (ages 8+) had a blast here, I think it's geared more towards the younger/toddler set (2-6 YO). The kids initially were engrossed with painting before trying the treehouse/zip line/ball pit & jump house. They got bored quickly & went back to painting & watching cartoons. H tried her hand at billiards but didn't have much sense for geometry so she was a bit frustrated (cue stick slipped a lot because there's no chalk); while Dad & M played on the air hockey table next to us. Both kids into the air hockey table & played for over an hour!! M's dexterity & reflexes aren't quite up to par with his older sister so he gets a bit frustrated... & squeals with joy when he scores a goal! (eye roll & shaking head) Yeesh! We didn't use the Wii because the kids didn't notice & we didn't tell; we preferred physical play though "Fast Feet" could have been fun, too. The house is fairly spacious with adequate spacing between each activity, & there are lots of fun things to do! Jump House, Painting, Drawing & Coloring, Jumbo Blocks, Playhouse, Karaoke & Dress-Up, Play-Doh, Books & Puzzles, Treehouse/Zip Line/Ball Pit, & Interactive "Fast Feet" for the 3+ YOs; Air Hockey Table, Billiards, & Wii are for the older kids, or adults trying to kill time; Soft Play Toys & Baby Ball Pit for the toddlers. During Open Play, the 1st child is $10 & $5 for each sibling; a huge plus is that there's no charge for adults. Some ridiculous play centers would also charge adults when they're only there to supervise their child(ren). :-X TJPH is more sensible than that. =) I can't imagine staying the whole 7 hours (weekday schedule), let alone the longer hours on the weekend, but it's not bad to kill a couple of hours; price is fairly reasonable for 2+ kids. Socks are required, or available for purchase: $3.00. We got there just after it opened so the house was neat & orderly. The equipment is clean (yes, I did a sort of white glove test) & not sticky. :-) I usually don't like these types of kids activity centers because they're unsanitary & grimy; however, this place felt clean so I'm guessing it's taken care of in the evenings so everything is clean for use the next day. My son LOVED this place! We booked a basic private birthday party for two hours on a Saturday. They have a bounce house, jungle gym, painting, pool table, air hockey and other fun activities. The only downside was the amount of time you're given to set up. I was only given 15 minutes to enter the facility and set up before the actual party. We were still setting up when guests arrived. Hopefully they extend the set up time in the future! They allowed us to bring our own food and I purchased beverages from the facility. It would definitely be cheaper to bring your own beverages though if you want to save some money. Overall, the venue was worth the $400+ I paid because the kids (and adults!) loved it. The hosts Ayane & Chynna were LOVELY and handled everything, making for a stress free day for me and dad and all of the kiddos had an absolute blast. We purchased one of their themes for an extra fee and the decorations they provide are awesome! Everything looked so great. The hosts even decorated our cake for us! We bought a blank Costco cake (w/ just a border) and just ordered decorations to put on it and they put the decorations on for us! I couldn't recommend this place enough.
