Excellent food and service! All beef hotdogs that taste delicious. They have a very nice location and restaurant right downtown Jackson and it's decorated very nice on the inside, very retro. Everybody is so nice and friendly there. They had just regular hotdogs, all different kinds of stuff you can have on your dogs, Coney dogs, and specialty dogs. And the prices are really great and affordable.

First visit and everything we tried was OK. Pretzel dog with nacho cheese and bacon bits was good. The coleslaw was made with pineapple tidbits - different but delicious. My hubby got the Coney and liked it. Also, got a Cobb slider and the burger was good. The kid's menu has 3 choices: hot dog, sliders, chicken tenders and the choice of fries or Mac n Cheese, soft drink included. Don't expect to find any healthy choices here though. Only thing close to a salad is the coleslaw. Go hungry not looking for anything light and with an open mind for hot dog toppings...one hot dog choice comes with peanut butter and pickles on top. Enjoy!

Great first impression of the restaurant and menu. They have a great mix of items than can appeal to all types of appetites. The jalapeño ranch is a very nice touch. I did make the suggestions to the waitress about having a sampler of the different hotdogs. Thought they could make the play on the dog theme by calling it a "Litter". The hotdogs are a little bigger than the normal hotdog so the regular customer will likely be full after a couple of hotdogs. A sampler might allow for a variety while still get your belly full.

I really expected this place to be packed on a Friday night, but we were the only people there.

I expected the restaurant to be packed on a Friday night but we were the only ones There. The food was pretty good, and the staff was very friendly. Maybe some live music would attract more people.

Love the feel of this place!

Didn't care for this place at all. We got mac n cheese bites and they were burnt on the outside and hardly any cheese inside.

Let's talk about this menu--because it is bonkers in the best way possible. Ever had a Beany-Weany Dog with baked beans on top? What about a Reuben Dog or a Mac & Cheese Dog? They pile these doggies high with sauerkraut, taco sauce, and anything else that shouldn't logically work on a hot dog but absolutely does. And the prices? $2.50 for most of these beauties. That's not just a deal--it's practically an act of public service. I went simple with a German Dog (mustard & sauerkraut), but trust me, there's a mad scientist in the back making sure every option is perfectly weird and wonderful. The buns are soft, the dogs have that perfect snap, and the toppings are generous without being a sloppy mess. The whole experience feels like you've stepped into a local legend that no one outside Jackson seems to know about--but they should. The staff is no-nonsense but friendly, the drive-thru has a personality of its own (seriously, read the posted notes), and you'll leave full, happy, and slightly confused about how you just ate gourmet hot dogs for pocket change. Would I come back? I need to come back. The West Virginian Dog is calling my name.

I have so many memories from being a kid, to dates with my husband and now looking forward to the first visit when back in town. We both got 2 coney dogs and root beer. I had the onion rings while the hubs had fries. One thing I love about Rudy's is they do not skimp on the coney sauce and I have no shame in saying that I could just eat it with a fork. lol Their root beer is perfectly creamy and has just the right amount of "bite". I can neither confirm nor deny that we returned later in the day to get a Boston cooler (Vernor's float) and a cream beer. If you are a local or visiting the area, you must check them out. They only accept cash but have an ATM on site. Service is by car hop and they have picnic tables that you can dine at if you don't want to eat in your car. I see another trip in the future before we leave even if it's just for a brown cow or another Boston cooler. lol

The NY dog tasted better than the Coney dog. The coney didn't taste the way it was expected, but it had a lot of ground meat on it. The egg, hash brown and toast was as expected. The rooster omelet wasn't too bad. The turkey Rueben was okay, would have been better with kraut instead of creamy slaw. The Greek salad was so-so, nothing so special about it. The onion rings were good at least. The woman at the checkout gave me such a hard time for asking for a copy of the credit card receipt, she asked why the itemized isn't good enough. She told me if I want the credit card receipt, she's taking the itemized bill. I said I would still like a copy of both the itemized as well as the credit card receipt. She placed both back on the counter top with a bit too much drama. How lazy, rude, totally unprofessional and unpleasant was the checkout staff member. The table service and food was a 3. The checkout service was a big fat zero! The experience was ruined by one person here.
