Our boy's main issue was reactivity with other dogs while walking him on a leash in the neighborhood. Sydney trained and educated us by giving us the tools to manage our stubborn, and strong, puppy. We've been going to Sydney for over a year to keep up the obedience and our boy is doing things we never thought would be possible before, such as sitting quietly in a room full of other dogs, and walking past reactive dogs in the neighborhood without incident. We first knew of Sidney when we saw him hold classes right outside of the dog park and we thought it would be the perfect training for Ellie. She would get easily distracted even by a leaf or a butterfly and take off. Also, she needed some obedience training. Fast forward, we have been training with Sidney for almost a year and we keep coming back. He knows how to read your dog to bring out the best in each of them. We went in wanting to learn obedience, and we keep wanting to learn more to see what else she is capable of doing. We truly enjoy the time we spend with Ellie in training classes each week and incorporating these skills in our routines at home. Ellie is a very well trained dog and we can actually walk her off leash with confidence that she will not wander off. We have also competed and placed in AKC rally competitions in her first weekend. We sent her to Shelley and Martin for a 3 week inboard training. They kicked Balashi out after a week saying she was untrainable. The videos they would send us showed Balashi being very lethargic and not herself. Since then, we hired an in home trainer who was able to change Balashi's life around. She is a completely different dog and the trainer did this in 5 one hour sessions. We finally had our happy dog back after this training. We are now able to walk her and take her to public places and she is absolutely great. No telling how Shelmar Kennels treated our baby while there. One thing is for sure, we would NEVER recommend them.

When the weather is bad, they have a nice indoor play area. We have also used them for boarding many times and been happy. It is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. I had to travel for work last month and was in a real bind with none one to turn to in helping me with Bella while I was out of town. As I was thinking of what to do, Cory and Ryan walked up and said hi and introduced themselves as the Dynamic Duo of Dog Walkers/Sitters! And that they are believe me! I am very impressed with them and their business. They have it down to a science where no pup goes without! They keep a detailed log of all visits and activities. Bella was attended to daily with multiple check ins, walks and potties. I was always so thrilled and excited to see her pics and videos that Cory and Ryan would post. OK, so I never, and I mean never, as in this is my first one, write Yelp reviews. But Ryan and Cory…read moreat kiki and fetch deserve a glowing one. I recently moved to Houston and will be traveling for work, so I had to find somewhere/someone to take care of my furbabies. I did a lot of research and asked a lot of people what they do, but I decided to go with kiki and fetch for two main reasons: 1. They have some of the most competitive prices in town, and 2. I like that my pups can stay at home and not go to a kennel, since they are very particular. I set up an interview online and Cory got back to me within the hour to set up a time to meet and greet me and my pups. Both Cory and Ryan came to my place and my dogs instantly fell in love with them (which is not necessarily an easy thing for them sometimes). I showed them the ropes, got them the keys, and that's about it. Some people may be nervous about having "Strangers" in your home while you're not there. Cory and Ryan were super professional, they even brought my paper in for me, and the place was just as I left it. I felt very comfortable opening my home to them and they definitely treated it as if it was their own. Also, if they didn't, my dog probably would have bitten them, so there's that... ;) I just finished my first appointment with them when I was out of town for 4 days. Cory and Ryan texted pictures and updates of the pups while I was gone, which was so great because of course my dogs are the cutest and I missed them like crazy! I came home and the dogs were super happy - none of the anxiety they usually have when I pick them up at the kennel. They were clearly loved and cared for as if I had been home the whole time! Also, I'd like to say that the booking process is super easy - it's all done online and you can specify exactly what you want. It sends reminders to you and you can always review the appointments you've made so you can make sure you're covered when you're out of town. Again - can't say enough how pleased I am with the care from kiki and fetch!!!
