a table with a variety of food items

Anyone have any insight on what's going on here? Came in at 12 noon when it opened on a Saturday and the buffet was only 25% setup. Told us to come back in 5-7 minutes. They added 1 item, but no rice and no serving spoons. The place was completely empty. My plate was also fractured and about to fully crack into 4 pieces. It's 12:40 now and we are still the only ones here. Most of the items arrived by 12:35 pm. Nan was slightly burnt but crispy. They do have goat curry which is my favorite Indian protein, so that's a plus. This place used to be pretty packed for lunch 5+ years ago. Where did everyone go?

    chicken tikka masala i think?

pretty good indian food! I got the chicken biryani, chicken tikka masala, and tandoori chicken. The biryani was HUGE. This was enough for 2 meals, I couldn't finish it. I liked it a lot, I thought it was yummy and flavorful. The tandoori chicken was a bit dry, not as good as the biryani.

Very tasty food and cute decor! Owner is very nice and gave me a free bottle of water to go. Thank you

Great packaging. Not common to include plastic bag these days

Had a late night 12:30AM delivery from Kebab Factory and glad I went with them. I checked the hours it seems they have late night hours 11pm-1am perhaps just for delivery and take outs. Anyway for the positives the lamb biryani was my favorite. Very good portion and very tasty, of course I wish there were more meat but honesty for the price it's a great choice seeing how flavorful the rice was. The tikka masala was pretty decent definitely on the creamy side and not watered down like some restaurants that would try to cut back. I thought it was a good choice to go with the classics Unfortunately I didn't enjoy the Saag curry as much as it was overly salty for me and compare with the other two dishes I ordered definitely was a disappointment. However everything else was great, awesome packaging and very hot food when it arrived. I'm very happy to have them nearby as a late night choice. Hope I'm the future I can visit their establishment in person but in the meantime it's a great choice for some delicious authentic Indian food

    Moldy Gulab Jamun

Ordered delivery- received moldy food. What wasn't moldy was saltier than Carthaginian soil. Called the restaurant but no effort was made to rectify the situation. All in all, a highly disappointing dinner (to say the least).

Dissapointed with the food totally. They served burnt papad. Service was slow. Place looks like it needs a facelift. The table was sticky.

I was very excited to hear I would be traveling to Boston for work. It's a HUGE upgrade to traveling to Mississippi (http://www.yelp.com/list/stranded-in-forest-ms-forest). Immediately I started bookmarking a ton of places. I got so carried away for only a five day trip. Actually this place wasn't one of them but it was a nice surprise. I met up with a friend in Boston. Our first choice was Muqueca but unfortunately it's closed on Mondays so we came here instead. The decor was really random, it looked more like a cafe than an Indian restaurant. They had a lunch buffet going on but we opted for the menu. Luckily my friend has been here before and suggested anything from the kebab menu. Gotta go with the namesake right?! Here's what we ordered: Sheermal (Pakistani sweet milk bread with saffron) - This bread was AMAZING! It was buttery and flaky. I was addicted!! I've never even heard of it but it was a little similar to some roti I had when I went to Thailand. I need to find this in LA ASAP!! Chapli Kebab (escalloped chicken) - the spices were something I've never tasted before and it was really good. It was crusted with pomegranate seeds and the chicken came out super juicy. It also came with a little side of tikka masala sauce that was really creamy and a lentil sauce that was very spicy. Tandoori Machali (mahi mahi) - Nice chunks of mahi mahi. I think it was my first time having fish at an Indian restaurant and it was pretty good. The fish I got was slightly overcooked. We were also served a small cup of their soup of the day. Nice garlic flavor with small chunks of potatoes. It was perfect for the rainy day. Total was $44 including tax and tip.

I'm so glad Uyghur cuisine has made its way to Boston…read more I was first introduced to it years ago at Silk Road in Cambridge, and I've been hoping more Uyghur restaurants would open ever since. Jahunger truly delivers. The restaurant immediately sets the mood. Candlelight, the scent of incense, traditional instruments on the walls, and pothos plants growing from mounted glass jars all make the space feel warm and inviting. One warning: unless you arrive around 6 p.m. or earlier, expect a wait. (It's popular.) Oh, and the food is worth it. The leek and egg dumplings tasted homemade in the best way: slightly rustic, fresh, and delicious. The hand-pulled noodles are the stars. Every noodle dish we ordered had the perfect chewy texture. My favorite was the Laghman noodles, though the Jahunger noodles were a close second with their rich spices and satisfying heat. The mee fen and stir-fried green beans both packed a respectable kick and leaned a little salty, but not enough to keep me from happily polishing them off. Don't forget the tea! It's beautiful to look at, filled with all sorts of ingredients (Chinese jujubes!), and only lightly sweet, which I appreciated. Then came the showstopping honey cake. The cake itself was fluffy, while the filling had a firmer, almost sticky texture with deep caramelized flavors that reminded me of burnt caramel in the best possible way. Paired with what tasted like coffee ice cream, it was the perfect ending to the meal. Jahunger is one of those restaurants that makes you want to come back before you've even paid the bill. I'm so glad Jahunger made it to Cambridge; the Boston food scene is richer because it's here.

Yummyyyyyy! As I sit here eating leftovers from our dinner order the other night!!…read more We ordered delivery - big plate chicken- tender chicken very flavorful with potatoes and veggies and pasta. The stir fry dry chicken was really good too even though it was oily but so tasty! The laghman was enjoyed by the hubs. And I really enjoyed the fish dish - also very oily and could use less oil definitely. But tasty. Food came within a reasonable time. Overall quite satisfied with the food! Plenty of leftovers. They're filled with this flavorful broth so despite looking very unassuming they were bursting with flavor. We came here on a Sunday evening without a reservation and were seated in 10min. The menu is entirely online but food came out quickly after we ordered. Dishes we got: - beef laghman: spiced well and chewy noodles! I liked it, although I was a bit confused if it was Uyghur or Chinese because it tasted very similar to Chinese food to me - Pork dumplings: delicious, you have to get these. They look so boring. They're SO good and there's so many. - Mapo tofu: my mouth was very numb eating this but the tofu was silky smooth. I can only assume it was good but I didn't have much spice tolerance left in me after the laghman.

We ordered the cheese topokki (soft rice cake, fish cake, vegetable, & mozzarella in Korean spicy sauce) & the beef bulgogi bowl (fried marinated beef, vegetables, steamed rice & side of soup). The cheese topokki was just as good as we remembered - chewy, flavorful, comforting, & a little bit weird. The cheese was poorly distributed, but it was still very tasty. The beef bulgogi bowl was really underwhelming. Firstly, it was very little food. We were promised vegetables, but there were only a few scarce onions & zucchini pieces mixed in. It was also dry. It was devoid of moisture & sauce, so we added some from the fridge at home. The side of soup was a joke. It filled only about 2/3 of the container & looked so sad, we wondered if it was the sauce that we we so desperately needed. Nope, just a meager amount of watered down miso soup. So the conclusion - great topokki, sub-par bulgogi, non-existent soup.

For the food, we got the tuna kimbap, Seoul toppoki, and bulgogi hot pot for two. Everything was SO good. The ingredients were fresh and the food was flavorful (sweet from the bulgogi, savory from the mushrooms, spicy from the toppoki sauce, salty from the tuna, and sour from the pickled vegetables). The price for the portion size was a great value and we ended the night feeling very full and even had to pack up an entire container of the hotpot for two that we didn't finish. Overall, we had a great time and I can't wait to come back again. This might be my new favorite Korean food spot in the Boston area.
