I got home, and took a bite of the rice without thinking. Was just hungry. It tastes and smells like cleaning chemicals. I called the restaurant immediately. They gave me a refund with no trouble. The gentleman I spoke with said that's just what their saffron tastes like... so I googled it. I have had saffron rice many times, but I'm no expert. The smell and taste is super chemically. This is what google said: "No, high-quality saffron and rice should not taste or smell like cleaning chemicals. Saffron has a distinct, earthy, floral, and slightly sweet aroma, with a complex flavor profile that includes floral and honey notes with a touch of bitterness. You can really tell that everything they put in it even the spread, which I think is some kind of Greek yogurt situation--has fresh dill in it. It tastes super fresh. The only downside is that parking can be hard, both in the back lot and on Ventura, especially since there's a gym there too. I've been here a few times when I was already at another business in the same location and would grab a wrap because they're so easy to eat on the go. They're also really big I usually save half for later. I think it's well worth it. The ambiance is really nice, the service is friendly and kind, and they're always happy to explain the menu if you need help. A gentleman named Juan asked if it was my first time and began recommending some of the popular items. I went with the chicken kebab plate and chose the spicy hummus which was amazing. The chicken was fresh, and the salad and veggies were perfectly cooked and delicious. They also had these amazing sauces on the side that you must try. The district manager happened to be in the store when I went to make the request and he was incredibly helpful with helping me place the order that would accommodate our group and fit out budget. How often anymore do you find a place with beautiful branding, super clean interior, ginormous portions (I was absolutely shocked at the size of my wrap), and great prices. ATTN: 2 months ago this place adjusted the portion of meat they provide for the bowls , so it is much smaller now! Two thumbs down. Their employee Matthew informed us about this "new policy " because we had to complain about the disappointing amount of meat we received. It was pathetic!! Just few pieces of chicken , and the majority was salad and fries! If you are going to lower the amount of meat, shouldn't you also lower the price as well? Otherwise , how is this "new policy" properly justified? It remains mind blowing! Furthermore, I asked for raw onions and received pickled onions on my bowl. When I asked for raw onions, it was brought to me reluctantly . Their employee Eduardo is very cold and did not greet us when we walked in. Instead we had to initiate the greeting with Eduardo, which is never good. We were also helped by Matthew , was much friendlier and provided a higher level of hospitality. If it wasn't for Matthew , this review would have received 1 star. Not sure if I will return, but if I do hopefully the kebab shop will improve both service, accuracy AND meat portions! read more

This is my second visit to this business and I was impressed both times. Not only is the food delicious and fresh but the staff has always been friendly.. smiles on faces makes me really happy. The dining area is clean and open. You won't feel claustrophobic or packed in next to other diners. It's a win win!
