I've been to a few different Naab Cafe locations, and I had to share my experience with this one. The food is still decent, but it's not consistent at all. The fries are completely different from the Westwood location, and this spot doesn't offer the bone in chicken that Westwood has. Even the taste of the ground beef and the chicken shish kebab is very different from what I've had at better locations. We also went to the location near The Grove in Los Angeles, and that was different too. Honestly, it feels like they don't care about this location because nothing matches. If this is supposed to be a franchise, everything on the menu should be consistent, but it's not. At this point, it feels like a completely different restaurant. The biggest issue, though, is the temperature. Every time I walk in, it feels like a freezer. It's extremely uncomfortable to sit and eat, especially when it's already cold outside. I keep hoping it'll be different, but it never is. this one really needs to fix the AC and be more consistent. Heads up if you're going to any location expecting the same exact taste or texture of the chicken kebab, ground beef, sandwich bread, fries, or sides, it's not going to be the same. I placed an order yesterday around 5:30 pm and went to pick it up. The guy who I spoke with on the phone was very nice and helpful. I normally like to eat right then and there, however, since I was in Encino and closeby, I decided to get my food to-go. I ordered their combo plate which came with Beef Koobideh (long ground beef), falafel, and chicken kabob. On the sides I got Salad Shirazi, and hummus. Also, they give you plenty of rice that you can eat for a whole week. Since I didn't dine there, while I was waiting for the food to come out, Ichecked out their restaurant and it had a good vibe to it. It was chill, clean, and mellow. There were a few people inside, but it was not that crowded. As I was leaving, more people were coming in. Generous portions, fair prices. I will definitely drop by this place to have a sit down lunch/ dinner. Last but not least, our food exceeded our expectations!! I've worked just a block away from this restaurant for years and, surprisingly, had never tried it--despite how long they've been around and how busy they always seem. I finally decided to stop in, and I'm so glad I did! Their chicken kabob is absolutely delicious--juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The service is just as impressive, especially from Alex and Jocelyn. They are both friendly, attentive, and can handle multiple tasks effortlessly while still making you feel taken care of. Came here for lunch on a weekday - no wait! Service was fast, and the food came out quickly. I ordered the koobideh with beef and brown rice (one skewer). The portion size was very generous, definitely more than I could finish in one sitting! Personally, the brown rice was a bit harder than what I'm used to at other places. Not sure if it was a bit undercooked or something else. I like getting brown rice to be healthier, but would probably stick to the white rice next time. There are a few parking spots out front, but there's more available in the back. The service at Naab truly deserves six stars: it was far beyond what we expected. You place your order at the counter and the food is delivered to your table, but the hospitality felt like full table service. From the young man who took our order, to the coworker who brought our food (along with complimentary water without us even asking....so thoughtful!), to the team working behind the grill, everyone was warm, welcoming and attentive. They made eye contact, greeted us sincerly and even thanked us as we left. Their kindness made our lunch even more enjoyable and we genuinely appreciated the experience. Im basing this on order to go and not eating there. That said, when the tiny pickles are the leader of the dolmas somethings wrong. 1. The order says it comes with pita bread. Mine was invisible. 2. Itd hsrd to mess up dolmas. They achieved a gold star. Besides being hard, they tasted as though they had been in the fridge or freezer beforehand. They were ice cold. I have no problem with cold dolmas but not ones where it is so obvious these were not made for several hours or the night before. I should add it never says on the to go menu that they are cold to begin with. I recommend saying ice cold. My McDonald's soda was warmer. 2. The Flaffel. I ordered this as well. It comes with hummus, whose flavor profile was a sweet taste of bland with a hint of paprika. Wait, wrong place, because this was missing it too. On the plus side, it was cooler than my frozen dolmas which I plan to use for a new version of popsicles next year. Get your frozen popsicle sticks - dolmas flavor! The flaffles themselves were pretty good. Spicy though. Never had spicy ones. The outside was crisped nicely, and they were warm, a major plus. And the inside was soft. These were very edible. But if you dislike spicy heat level, you will be left eating the tiny pickles. The order came with some weird green sauce which I demurred from tasting. Maybe it was whipped dolmas dressing. Eliseo served my friend and I; we ordered a chicken kabob plate and a vegetable kabob plate. my friend ordered the cucumber juice, i ordered beet juice with ginger, which at first they said they were out of ginger, then they had the ginger but no beet juice. not a big deal at all, but ideally the cashier should know what they have available that day. they did give my friend the extra cucumber juice made instead of throwing it out which was thoughtful. the chicken was delicious and large chunks, large chunks of vegetables, and fresh delicious hummus. the veggies could use some seasoning, they were unseasoned and the chicken could have slightly more seasoning. overall everything was good. The service is terrible just terrible, it's starts with the manager not being around in a Sunday to see what's happening! If you have an open establishment there must be manager available on duty to assist. My first time ordering from here, the experience was so terrible I wouldn't go back. Service 0 stars, I placed an order for a cambo plate and Siri salad, I'm not sure what the young man on the phone heard (he said his name is Lenin) at the time of pick up my husband walked out with 3 plates when I just ordered A CAMBO PLATE. When I went back inside to speak to him to clarify the incorrect issue, he was speaking over me, he stare that's what I ordered and I was given a hard time and extremely rude attitude from Jocelin the other employee. Clearly he didn't give me the total while I was in the phone otherwise I would have questioned why it's $70 for A CAMBO PLATE AND SUDE SALD SHIRAZI. He's a kid, not trained well, has no listening skills or perfectionism; Jocelin just as bad and she's likely a key holder or supervisor but also lacks customer service and has a VERY DISRESPECTFUL ATTITUDE. After 5-7 min of back and forth I was given my refund in the plates I didn't order, when it could have been taken care of before all the back and forth and the waisted time. I'm all about ordering from non chain places so small businesses can be supported, but never agin from here. A note for tue manager and owner, train your staff to listen and ALWAYS GIVE THE TOTAL when it's placed or would abound a lot of the hassle. read more

The grilled chicken was perfect. Such a grill master works here. My salad hit all the right marks- the leaves were fresh and crisp, the fixings fit the genre. I tried the lentil soup, and absolutely loved their take on that- the flavors really come through on their own with the appropriate vegetables, and it wasn't overly salted. It's not greasy either. It's just right. The hummus- I was thinking- how good will it be? Some of the best hummus I've had in LA. I would place this Mediterranean spot in my top 3 in the valley, after tonight. It's casual inside, but nice. Nothing tacky, nothing fancy. It's ambient at night, not bright, not dark. Great choice and our first time tonight - it was 9:15pm and we were hungry - and the places we already knew had closed way too early. These guys stay open til 10 which is reasonable for everyone! The beef was good and the Koobideh (minced) beef was tasty except they over cooked it. The pita bread was fresh and the Falafel was very good as well.
