If you're into bold, meat-heavy bites with serious flavor, Arais Machane Yehuda absolutely delivers. The ribeye arais was the standout--crispy, toasted pita on the outside with insanely juicy, well-seasoned ribeye packed inside. Every bite had that perfect balance of crunch and richness, and it didn't need much sauce, but the dips on the side took it up another level. The lamb arais was just as impressive--slightly more gamey (in a good way), super tender, and loaded with spices that gave it a deep, savory kick. You can tell they're not holding back on quality or flavor here. The sides tied everything together--the fresh tomato salad cut through the richness, and the pickles and sauces added that extra punch to keep every bite interesting. Overall, this spot is all about simple food done really right--crispy, juicy, flavorful, and satisfying. Definitely a must if you're craving something hearty and different.

Incredible food! Wow I have never had such incredible food in my life. The lehmejoun is amazing. The owner was so nice and hospitable. I loved sitting at the bar to watch to soccer game. Great experience. 10/10 recommend.

I'm so glad I found this spot because it was ridiculously good. I've eaten at Miznon and Saffy's and I was hoping Arais would live up to them, and it did not disappoint. I've never had an Arais before so I was intrigued. It's basically like a chicken, herby meatball baked into a pita. The two sauces included tahini and chimichurri. They both were a great addition and the tahini might have been some of the best I've ever had. The chicken was cooked perfectly and came out hot and juicy.

Arais Machane Yehuda LA, is a unique, one of a kind, Israeli Restaurant, serving food that is not found anywhere, in the SFV or even in LA. It gets its name and style of cooking simple Israeli food, from the famous market, of the same name, in Jerusalem. Important to note that Arais (Arayes), is actually a street food. Essentially, a homemade small triangular pita, stuffed with succulent meat, then freshly baked on a continuous rotating large plate, at the center of a gas fire clay oven called the "taboon". The menu here is very basic, but high in quality, ingredients and freshness. There are also other offerings. The owner is charming and most welcoming to all the patrons. Yes, there is love and affection. He has personality, that you hardly ever see in any restaurant. Providing complimentary tastings of his items, while you wait for their preparation and production, to go. In my case, small portions of the warm garbanzo beans with freshly made (silky and smooth) hummus, then pickles and onions, also with dipping. Both fantastic. If you do not get Arias when you are here, you are missing the point, or maybe in the wrong place. My choice was Lamb Arias, to go. 4 crisp and charred triangular pieces fresh off the taboon, accompanied with regular and green tahini sauces, and a small, unimpressive tomato onion salad ($26). The lamb meat was juicy, well seasoned and cooked perfect. Also, as a side, I added the Potatoes "Medura" ($7). This was truly amazing. Thick longitudinal wedges, well browned on the outside and soft on the inside. Overall, an unforgettable experience. Excellent service, fantastic food, and an unforgettable warm and comfortable experience.

AMAZING FOOD!!! The food was amazing--everything we ordered tasted so good and was full of flavor. Even the simplest of dishes turned out exquisite, which really speaks to the quality and care put into the food. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout the entire visit, which made the experience even better. I will definitely be going back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal. UPDATE: Went back again today with two friends and it definitely did not disappoint! The food was just as amazing as the first time--perfectly seasoned and everything tasted so good. My friends loved it. Isaac and the entire staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. It truly has that mom-and-pop feel, and they treat you like family every time. Highly recommend!

What a gem! We had such a fantastic experience at Arais Machne Yehuda in Tarzana. We went for the $40 per person pre-fixe menu and every bite was a total hit, from the fresh salads to the juicy, flavorful meats and all the little surprises in between. You can tell everything is made with care and love. The vibe is warm, casual, and full of Israeli soul, but what truly stood out was the hospitality. Isaac, the owner, is the real deal, so friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about his food and customers. He made us feel like family. If you're looking for a fun night out with incredible food and good energy, run (don't walk) to Arais. We're already planning our next visit!

Drove here for an early birthday lunch with my daughter. Both owners were present and made us feel right at home. They gave us a tour, explained the menu and suggested the items we should try. Everyone was so kind, and every suggestion hit. They have been in this location for 10 months, and I see longevity in their future if they make everyone feel like they did us. If you are in the area please give them a try. *Parking on the street, but more in the back.

Loved the very lively atmosphere and absolutely loved the food. Instant explosion in flavor in all the plates. The potatoes, the rib eye , the sampler dips and vegetables... all delicious and high quality. This gem is just full of explosive deliciousness my taste buds were loving it. From the very entrance the owner is so lively and welcoming giving me his recommendations that did not disappoint. Highly recommend !

I know it turns more nightclub-like on Thursdays and Saturdays, but even on a Wednesday it felt lively and fun. The music was good and there were lots of birthday celebrations, which added to the festive atmosphere. We started with the bluefin crispy rice and the truffle sashimi from the specials menu. Both were good, but honestly I'd probably skip the raw bar next time because some of the other dishes were even better. The short rib cigar and the arais were fantastic. The real standouts were the oyster mushrooms--arguably the best mushrooms I've ever had--and the hanging tender skewer. Both were absolutely delicious and must-orders. We finished with the bread pudding, which was probably the least impressive dish of the night, but overall the meal and drinks were excellent. Huge shout-out to our waiter, Cesar, who made the experience even better. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely great at what he does. When we come back, we'll definitely be asking to sit in his section!

The overall experience including an awesome ambience should be rated as 5 stars+, although the price of each dish is high, which might be the main reason the Yelp overall rating is at 4.4 A valid parking is available.

They had just had a local paper do a write up on them and stated that it was the best pizza in the world. Big claim to make, but as a lover of pizza, i have to say that it wasn't too far off. Its hard to ever really give the title of "best" especially when there is many styles and each have their own appeal, but this was definitely a pie that could sit at the table as "worlds best" and not be out of place. I got the Neapolitan pizza with mushrooms, black olives and cherry tomatoes and added jalapeño on half. I wanted pepperoni but no meat here. Didn't matter though, the pizza was fire!!! They gave me a thousand island type dipping sauce and ranch which they suggested to mix together. It was good, but i actually preferred both sauces individually. The thousand gave a sweet flavor and ranch was creamy goodness!! They also make an iced coffee frap of sorts so i got one of those also. It was exactly what I needed and not too sweet at all. You order at the counter and they had pizzeria style seating inside if you wanted to dine in, but i ordered and drove off right away. Kinda wish I had sat down cause i would've certainly ordered another pie if i did lol

Our server never came back to our table to check to see how everything was once she dropped off the food. Our server went back to tell the owner/owner's wife that we were making a big deal about asking for accommodations for vegan options. Is it not reasonable to ask questions about alternative vegan options when the restaurant is out of Tofu??? Our server never came back to the table other than to drop off the bill. We did speak to the woman/owner who listened, gave excuses and later tried to fix things by bringing complimentary vegan cookies to the table and have small talk.
