I recently attended a private event at this location. The space is beautiful. The staff seemed to be ok even though they seemed a bit overwhelmed with the event. The food was fine. We had no say in what we were eating as it was a prearranged menu. The best thing we had were the lamb chops. The space was the highlight and I would love to hold an event in the space.

We came to The Kennedy for a girlfriend's birthday brunch. We had a fabulous time, the food was good, service was excellent and the ambiance is definitely very cute/girly/fun! We drank everything from lychee martinis, Hugo spritz, champagne and espresso martinis and the drinks we all loved! We ordered multiple mozzarella sticks and also tried the pancakes and berries as well as the banana French toast! It was a lot of food but all very flavorful! I would go back to try other menu items or their dinner. For my meal I had the Crab Cakes Eggs Benedict and the crab cakes had a lot of crab! The other girls ordered the Hangover Burger, Steak and Eggs and the Chilaquiles but had no complaints about their food. They brought the birthday girl a little dessert with a sparkler and we had a lovely time!

Great atmosphere for brunch with a live DJ who was awesome! The food was ok, little underwhelming with limited options, the service was very slow and we had to ask multiple times for refills, additional condiments etc. Would go back but would try out the bar instead and just go for the live DJ and drinks

I'm in the middle of my dining experience & so far so good. I ordered the "soprano Negroni" it was delightful. The waygu tartar was amazing. 1st time with waygu & its was so fresh topped with a quail egg. The server was very nice. We chitchat about different things, mainly places we'd like to visit. The staff was very nice & accommodating. I'm waiting for the pianist. There's a live music set scheduled. If he isn't here in the next 5 minutes I'll get up & start singing myself. Anywho, I'll be back to tell yall about the lamb chops.

I have been here twice, once on Easter for brunch in a booth and once on a Saturday night for dinner and drinks at their bar. I want to start off by saying I hope the owner or manager reviews these because I cannot stress enough how amazing Thazerein S. (Bartender) was. I honestly think he is the best server/bartender I have ever ever ever come across. I tried calling to leave a compliment after the fact but couldn't reach anyone. Anyway, the steak and eggs are the only thing I have tried from there that I wouldn't recommend. Everything else has been absolutely phenomenal. The burrata ice cream is everything, the drinks are amazing, the food is good. For brunch there was a dj and for the dinner there was a live singer who also was a pianist, amazing vibes. The only reason this doesn't get a 5 star rating is because the pricing is a little much for what you get in my opinion- My pasta was $36-$38 which is just a lot for pasta that isn't authentic, the motzerella stick (singular) is $23-$24, just alittle cray to me; however I would recommend!

Visited for a reverse happy hour, and had a great evening! Love that they have a large cocktail selection for their HH. It's also super cute inside, great for date night or girls' outing. Service was okay -- the waiter was friendly, just a bit inattentive and slow to get to my table.

Popped into The Kennedy on a Sunday afternoon. We had eaten earlier so the plan was to have a cocktail for sure and possibly a light bite. Brunch was still being served, we shared the Chilaquiles which were surprisingly delicious (they were like an upscale plate of nachos). Our cocktails did not disappoint and the Dj mixed with vibe of restaurant was a great start to Sunday Funday!

The Kennedy really is a nice place to have dinner. We dined on a Thursday night and there were not many people. We did have reservations however there was more than enough space for more customers. The Kennedy is valet parking only for the dinner hour but parking attendant stated that during the lunch hour some days it's self parking. When calling there is a $5 charge for valet before 3 and after 3 that charge is $10. The parking lot is very small. Major turn off is valet is right in front of the door so you're paying to valet and walk right up to the entrance. If you can find street parking and don't mind the walk that's an option as well. They do have a dress code here so if you're walking your dog and decide to dine, this is not the place for you. It's nicely decorated and put together, great ambiance and it was not too loud this night. Was able to have conversations without screaming across the table and the pianist most definitely kept us entertained while dining. He was very personable, came and introduced himself. Took requests and has an amazing voice. The restrooms were nice and clean. I liked that the stalls were individually roomed and the black toilets were a good addition to the uniqueness of the decor. On to the food and drinks. I ordered the Cucumber Hibiscus Smash. It was delicious! I thoroughly enjoyed how refreshing and crisp this drink was. It was made just right. For my entree, after seeing the bisque, I chose the Kennedy Caesar Salad with Shrimp added. I also chose to add a side of the Jalapeño Blue Cheese dressing as I wanted to try it. This choice was most definitely the best for me. I'd come here again just for this salad. I also was eyeing the lobster bisque as my entree however a few people ordered and it didn't give me bisque vibes. It was more on the broth side with no cream in sight. That's not bisque to me, however there are some that may see this differently. Others in my dinner party made note that the mashed potatoes were on the sweet side so I was glad that I didn't go with that. Also important to note, don't come expecting normal size portions. This is more on the tapas side of dining and the portions versus price would leave most wondering why they are still hungry after spending about a hundred bucks on dinner. Choose wisely. I opted out of dessert as I was full from the salad I inhaled. Yes that salad was filling. Others opted out of dessert due to price. Our waitress Jackie was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Gave great advice on dishes to order and suggestions of changes that could be done. It's important to note, that there is a card acceptance fee charge for each guest(even if all on one check), auto gratuity(normal for our size party), they can only split the check per party three times, and they are a 21 and up restaurant. We opted to have one check. It was just easier for a part of 8. All in all, we had a great dining experience as we should for the amount of money spent.

Met with friends for a little bit. In that short time I found: Parking is available with valet for $10 or on the streets (good luck). The entry is very minimalist yet classy looking, looking in the lights are dim and intimate. The music for this night was EDM, DJ Emilio kept the party going and I enjoyed every bit and in addition to the music, they had a portrait of my man, James Dean, it's then I knew I might have found another favorite cocktail bar. (Will need to return to fully determine that) I opted for the Aviation, a gin based cocktail. It was strong with a bite. Not necesssarily anything special about it as I've had at different places in the past. But they do have a vast variety to choose from but I wasn't trying to drink much as I had to drive. I did see they had a full martini menu and I will need to return to try them. The Kennedy is a mix of class, elegance and modern in a bar/restaurant environment. Dress code is enforced, so please don't show up in your shorts and flip flops.

Valet is available for $10. Got seated quickly. The decor is very nice. It had a nice and chill ambiance. Live music was really good and added to the vibe. Our waiter was very nice, informative, and helpful. The food came out very fast. We guessed it was most likely because they have a 2hour limit on tables. Everything we got to eat was really good. They drinks weren't very strong but they were good.

Came with my girls for a Galentine's dinner last week and we had a good time! It's def giving dress cute for nice date night vibes. Their menu had plenty of drink and food options. I got a spicy cucumber margarita (not pictured) that really hit the spot and had a spicy kick with each sip. I originally ordered the short ribs but they ran out so opted for the wagyu burger & fries which did not disappoint! The burger melted in my mouth and was so flavorful. I guess the trick to get the short ribs is to get there earlier and likely on a less busy day. The food took awhile to come out but our waiter was so apologetic and gracious. A con of this place is that it's valet only ($10 fee) and the valet/car pick up area is super tight and congested. So be prepared

I can only speak about the bar experience as the kitchen was closed by the time my friends and I arrived. We pulled up and paid the $10 valet and were seated at one of the high-top table by the window. It's a very nice, intimate yet large restaurant. I enjoyed the dim setting and how lovely the staff were dressed. The drinks were good, but I only had 1 as we were bar hopping. I would definitely go back to try their dinner or for a date night.

The Kennedy! I found this lovely restaurant near downtown and I plan to visit again. The atmosphere was very east coast and upscale with a live pianist playing recognizable songs that we've heard on the radio at some point in our lives. I loved it. Service was decent, the only thing I did not enjoy was that it took a good 15 minutes after we were seated before a server came and acknowledged us. This was before the restaurant became busy (6:30PM), so I was a little disappointed. HOWEVER, they redeemed themselves immensely with the food and cocktails :-) I started out with a mozzarella stick covered in caviar and the ribeye tartare. I recommend both. Next I ordered a Lavender 75 which is basically a French 75 with a lavender liqueur that added a beautiful color to the cocktail. Once that was gone I ordered the Amalfi Spritz (their version of an aperitif spritz or aperol spritz. Again very instagram-able and tasty. These two cocktails gave me an appetite so I ordered the Chilean Sea-bass. My tongue salivates still just thinking about it . The portion was small but it was very delicious and very well seasoned. As the evening went on past 8PM, the atmosphere took a turn and became more lively. House music began to play and the people entering seemingly became more beautiful. Rolls Royces rolled through the valet and the tone of the restaurant transformed into a buzzing hotspot. To end the night I ordered two, yes two espresso martinis because I have to try them out at every restaurant that has them and the first one was just too good . Again, another well balanced cocktail with the right amount of alcohol, mixed perfectly. I can never get the froth thick at home but they seemed to have mastered it Will I be back? Maybe for brunch because I heard they have a really fun brunch and I love brunch!

We finished almost everything except a quarter of the Pan, about a quarter of the rice, and about a third of the ribeye. All were great dishes and would definitely order again. We skipped dessert because honestly none stood out to us. He said their popular dessert is the souffle but they were sold out. Our total before gratuity was about $250 and that included one cocktail. He ended up being one of the best aspects of our experience that evening. Our waitress wasn't nearly as good. We started by asking for ice in the water from the waitress since they just give you room temp water. After 10 mins of seeing her serve other tables and ignoring our request, we then figured the water boy would make it happen...and sure enough he did. We then ordered the grilled oysters, which are very lightly cooked, almost seemingly steamed more than anything, but they were very good regardless of the cooking method with the sauces and garnishes and pickle juice added. Next up was ordering the entrees. The menu here is a little strange with numerous vegan choices with strange titles and only a few items with protein. To top it off, there are not many choices period. The waitress explained that the left side is basically the apps, and the right side is basically the entrees. I knew I wanted to try the wagyu flat iron steak which is priced pretty high here, compared to other wagyu flat irons I've had at other restaurants across the US. We couldn't really decide on a 2nd main dish then the waitress mentioned the off the menu special which was a scallop pasta so we picked that thinking it sounded delicious. The entrees come out about 15 mins later, and we take our first bites and we both thought, oh no, if we share the other person across from me isn't going to like this dish because it's too salty. I tried the steak first and noticed the sauce being extra salty, then I tried the pasta and the pasta was way worse, but the scallops didn't seem to be affected. We immediately told the waitress the next time she stopped by....and she just said okay, and walked away. I figured she would go get the manager....but nope...she just kept on serving other tables. At this point we thought to ourselves only the oyster app was decent.....and no reason to look at the dessert menu since we had already spent over $100 on food we could hardly eat. Sure enough, the waitress stops by a 2nd time and asks if we'd like to see the dessert menu. I couldn't leave fast enough and told her we'll skip. Needless to say we both left hungry as the portions were not only not edible, but also fairly small. The water boy also stopped by and offered to turn on the heater if we get cold. Boy, I wish he was our waiter instead. For a supposedly Michelin-starred restaurant, I feel they really got this one wrong.

We decided to get a bunch of dishes and share. 10/10- chicken liver pâté with seasonal jam and focaccia - smooth - creamy - paired with the sweet jam 7/10 -kanpachi crudo, satsuma ponzu, crispy sunchoke, mustard seed - fish was tender - slight sweet and crunch bits 9/10- mesquite smoked lamb ribs, white BBQ sauce, rosemary - Lamb was very tender and fell of the bone, sauce was tangy. 10/10- marinated mussels on grilled bread, calico' beans - mussels were flavorful, bread was toasted just right provided a nice vehicle for all the toppings. I enjoyed this dish. 9/10 - pork collar milanese, white anchovy, fennel, apple. - very balanced - savory crispy pork and the topping gave freshness and sweet and tanginess. 8/10- roast chicken and potatoes, lemon aioli, herbed schmaltz - dining companions enjoyed the this dish - moist chicken and potatoes were tasty 5/10 - campanelle, crawfish, Calabrian chile, crab butter - pasta was nice but the spicy sauce overpowered the crab butter and crawfish.

I bring family and friends here all the time along with business partners. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Houston, Texas. You will experience the best food and the best service here every single time! Today was the first time I decided to get some food to go. Bradley was an absolute professional. While I was leaving, Johnny Carrabba came out and talked to me for a second. What a nice guy. Full of natural charisma. Reminds me of an old wise guy from casino or Goodfellas. We had a great conversation. I told him how my grandmother was born in Bryan Texas in 1927. He told me about his family that migrated there in 1905. He also mentioned his family had a store on Canal Street. I had no idea. An exceptional person, a legend in the restaurant industry here in Houston, Texas. It was great to meet you today Johnny. Thank you for your professionalism and hospitality and also thank you for serving some of the best food in Houston, Texas! Food: as you can see from all my pictures of the food is simply amazing. The best cornbread in the world. The best pot roast. The best sticky ribs. The best desserts. Everything here is phenomenal. Lunch dinner brunch you cannot go wrong. It was an absolute pleasure to meet Bradley and Johnny today I've been coming to this location for years and I will continue to come and support this restaurant.

The real win here is social hour. $10 appetizers that are normally closer to $18? Say less. We ordered a few things to share: Cheeseburger egg rolls (slightly overcooked on the outside, but still good flavor) Cheeseburger sliders (simple, but my partner enjoyed them) Meatballs over mashed potatoes (THIS was a surprise--it's basically a full meal and very good) Bang bang shrimp (probably my favorite--great flavor and presentation) Drinks were also well done and consistent. The vibe is definitely more relaxed, social, and comfortable--not super fancy, but still nice enough for a casual night out. Overall: Good food, great service, and excellent value. I'd definitely come back.

This was the only place opened nearby that I hoped had a decent filet. When I arrived it was busy, a few people standing at the front waiting to be seated. Typical lunch time rush. I was able to snag a seat at the bar. My bartender (the bow tie guy) was as always very accommodating. I asked him if he thought the filet was good here and he told me they were excellent. Taking his advice I order a filet, Brussels sprouts and a loaded baked potato's for my lunch. My cosmopolitan were great too. I was a bit apprehensive about ordering a steak here instead of a traditional steak house but they did not disappoint! It was a delicious perfectly cooked steak. Literally melted in my mouth so yummy. I like my steak medium but Pittsburgh style and they followed that to a T. The Brussels sprouts were divine as well. I took my potato home for a snack latter. I've only ever dined here for happy hour light bites so this was a pleasant surprise. Will be back soon.
