I told her about the error message on the feeding tube for my family member. She told me the tube was broken and she would get another machine. When I arrived at the facility tonight December 4, 2024 the machine was off. I asked her if there was a replacement since this is the main source of my family members food supply. Shanita very rudely advised that she couldn't give me any information since my name was not on the list. I told her I am the one who takes care of my family member and thought her husband added me to the list. I then asked who I needed to contact to get the issue rectified. Shanita started going in about HIPAA. With everything I know about HIPAA asking about a feeding tube is not a HIPAA violation especially if the tube was broken the night before. Her tone was unprofessional and ridiculous for the question I asked. I told her that her tone was unacceptable and she needed to learn how to speak to guest. One of her co-workers started pulling her to the back as if she was going to hit me. She then made a comment that my coat was fake. What type of nurse would be so small minded especially in a professional setting with all her co-workers witnessing the conversation. I am appalled at such atrocious behavior from a so-called nurse. I want this issue escalated to the owner of this facility. My family member just became a member of the Rainbow family and I Don't want her anywhere near her if this is the type of attitude and unprofessional behavior that she displays to a family member of a patient at your establishment. Customer service training is seriously needed at this facility. I thought this establishment was better than most but last night proved it was worse than most.

I informed the woman that I had a terrible rash on my eye and my forehead, and it was hurting. I explained to the young lady that I was from out of town and on vacation . She asked me if I had Insurance and I said yes, and I gave her my insurance card and my ID.. within minutes Especially the nurse asked me to step inside to get my vitals. She asked me what was going on, and I explain to her it was an irritation that had been bothering me for a few days and I feel that I need to see a doctor because it doesn't feel normal. The nurse said a doctor would be in to see me momentarily. Within five minutes. Doctor came and spoke with me. Very kindly the doctor asked me to explain to him what was going on as I pointed to my forehead. He immediately said I know your symptoms follow me. I walked to the other area with the doctor and he explained to me what my condition was. It wasn't long before the attending physician came and gave his synopsis. Very quickly and with care the two doctors explained to me what my condition was and how it worked and then explain that the medication I would receive would be for pain and infection. With all of that being said, the young doctors care and attitude and mindset was just so remarkably amazing. The staff the cleanliness I would give this hospital an A + immediately, and I would advise anyone that is visiting the Bartlett community in Memphis, Tennessee had an emergency or had to be hospitalized to visit this care center. Doctor on staff who assisted in my care name is Dr.Cardwell. An amazing physician, caring person and beautiful soul.

My husband did not feel safe in the hospital so he left against medical advice and died 3 days later. They did not tell anyone he had to be fully resuscitated or that they gave him medication he was allergic to. They put it in his file he had no known medication allergies knowing he did because they were told numerous times by my husband, myself and our daughter at the time of check in. The care quality they give is horrible and I believe they try to cover their mistakes by putting incorrect incorrect information in the patient's chart. Now I am left with a shattered heart and I doubt I will ever get over what they have done. I cannot find anywhere to file a complaint for what they did. This hospital's stall ruins lives in the worst way possible.

DOZENS of calls to the owner to discuss the care of my mother and not a single call back. She has an infected wound on her that was caused from her having to sit in soiled diapers for SIX HOURS OR MORE EVERY TOME SHE NEEDS CHANGED. The fastest she's ever received a change was after sitting in a soiled diaper for TWO HOURS. They'll put her in a wheelchair to take her on a walk then just leave her sitting in it for 5+ hours, just sitting in the hallway. She communicates she wants to go back to her bed but no one listens and she just sits. Most of the time her diaper leaks and drips while she's sitting. She's just stuck in soiled, dripping diapers with nothing being done. And it's causing infections. They only give her a "shower" ONCE A FREAKING MONTH. please. If you love your parent don't send them here. I'm watching my mother's health decline because of this place and there's nothing I can do about it. It's a living hell.

Grace Healthcare is a House of Horrors. My father was placed there after a minor medical situation…read moreand after several weeks was transferred to a hospital and then died. The care, or lack thereof, received at Grace was horrendous. Incompetence was the order of the day and even Donni Dubert, the Director, agreed they didn't have adequate staff. I lived out of town and traveled frequently to Memphis while my father was there. On several occasions I brought to their attention that he had bed sores and they went weeks without treatment. For example, we found a bed sore on his heel that wasn't dressed and in direct contact with the sheets on several occasions. The facility uses a wound care specialist that the staff described as "too slow". Too slow as in never showing up. Each time I showed up my father hadn't been shaved (for days) or bathed and on several occasions had been left on the bed pan and had to yell for several minutes to get people's attention. His toenails grew very long and I was told they required a podiatrist to trim. I discussed with the Dr. and head of nursing Julie Atkeison and both said they would schedule. It never happened. I had long conversations about his care with Donni Dubert to no avail. For several days we tried to simply get a catheter replaced because the urine was cloudy and clumpy we were told there could be an infection. I found the urine bag so heavy on several occasions that it couldn't be hung. The office staff who was supposed to assist with medical forms was equally incompetent. Bottom line--do not let your loved ones be subjected to the uncaring and incompetent staff of Grace. Elderly people can go downhill quickly when they could, otherwise, recover. This place may only serve to accelerate the process of death of your loved one.
