The staff are quite friendly, and the cafe is not too spacious but there is adequate seating and the inside is very cute. They also have free wifi and tables in the back which are great to do any work or study! Not only can you get very reasonably priced organics (veg, fruits, cooking oils, canned foods, boxed foods, etc), but they also have the absolute best coffee in the area. And if you have a sweet tooth, you'll find wonderful cakes, cupcakes, scones, etc. They also serve homemade vegetable soup daily. I've also noticed that kids love this place. They do offer colouring items for the kiddies and they have a nice two-seater couch available to relax on in addition to their indoor seating. This summer promises cold salads and other goodies. It's also a good place to purchase locally-made arts and crafts. Right now they have a book club and there's talk of some cooking demonstrations coming up. It's definitely a wonderful place. "Iced Coffee" means either an iced Americano or an Iced Latte. I chose the former. Before anyone took my order, I waited approximately five or six minutes. Since I was in no rush, I didn't mind. What impressed me was the number of servers who asked me if I was alright. The entry area bustled with the back and forth of servers providing water to the patrons. The dessert case looked tantalizing! I also noticed that all coffee drinks contain two shots! I was guaranteed a nice Americano. My time to order arrived, and not long after, I walked out with my very satisfying iced drink. Another note: The quaint restaurant was beautifully decorated with lights in arches which affords a charming atmosphere.

My vegetarian rashers seemed to beat the real thing and with scrambled egg, beans, hash browns and potato cakes I was full for the day. Tea, toast and sweet for good measure too. Herself had something more traditional involving real pork. All for less than £15. We found ourselves chatting to the owner as her two daughters cooled it up apparently protesting against the weather, which of course really works. I've always found the weather in Ireland to be very impressionable. In any event we found lots of common ground and I wondered was The Hub more cosmopolitan than Lisnskea would know what to do with. I certainly hope not as I like having options in terms of the places I like to go and between Aughnacloy, Monaghan and Lisnaskea there ain't many. But Lisnaskea now has several very fine venues, The Hub being one. The only problem I see is that the sign, although a cool kind of lilac-purple, is set in a darkish plate glass window which keeps the place somewhat out of view despite being slap bang in the middle of Main Street. As well as a deli selling a wide range of speciality foods, teas, a 'free from' section, fresh cheeses, teas/coffees, sweet treats and lunches/dinners to go - there's also a dedicated skincare section, with some high end and reasonably priced beauty products. The window display changes with the seasons, as well as the stock. They're always ahead of the crowd, and this is a great spot to pick up a special gift.
