Stopped in here on our way through town as we headed north to NC…read more It's a popular place at lunch, with what was obviously nothing but locals. As we were not, we definitely got a few strange looks, which I definitely expected. There's maybe 10 spots to park along the side and they've got maybe 10 tables inside in which to sit. Pretty limited menu of burgers, dogs, and frozen crinkle cut fries from the heat lamp. Overall, I'd rate the cheeseburgers and hot dogs we had as completely forgettable and below average. Definitely not worth what they're charging ($3.95 for a cheeseburger, add like 70 cents for lettuce and tomato). Hate to say it, but you can get a better burger that's less greasy from Hardee's. Worse than that is the fact that their hot dogs are cooked in oil...it's the weirdest thing ever and something I've never seen. Unfortunately, that simply made the dog the greasiest I've ever had. Not a fan. Check out the pics I posted for their menu and prices. Note that they do not do free refills on fountain sodas despite what they're charging. Their system of ordering and filling each order is literally about as inefficient as you can possibly find, which did nothing but make each customer's wait that much longer. This place is likely an institutional treasure to locals but to city folks like us that are used to modern efficiency, it was like watching paint dry and getting teeth pulled. Uggh. Top it off with service staff that was glum and displaying the omnipresent "I hate my life" attitude, and my wife and I both said to one another right away, no way we'd go back. The locals probably don't want us stopping in anyway...damn city folk that we are. I'm wondering how in the world this place is still in business? As you'd expect, no free wifi here.

I read the great reviews of this place online , so I had to come see for myself. It's a small brick building on the side of Andrew Jackson Hwy in Laurel Hill. Small parking lot with plenty of business. They have a small indoor dining area that is a bar top facing the windows. A couple of picnic tables outside , which is where I ate mine. I got the Double Cheeseburger with Crinkle Cut Fries and a can of Pepsi. The burger patties were nice and thick and juicy. Hot and fresh tasting with lettuce and tomato. If you want a Traditional North Carolina Slaw Burger they can do that too. The Crinkle Cut Fries were hot , fresh , and tasty. I prefer Crinkle Cut or Steak Cut Fries , so this was a plus. The employees were also nice. They have so much other food to choose from. Bbq Pork Sandwiches , Burgers , Hot Dogs , Sausage Dogs , Corn Dogs , Fried Bologna Sandwich , Pimento Cheese Sandwich , Chicken Wings , Hamburger Steak Plate , Chicken Salad , Chicken Sandwich , Fried Okra , Fries , Onion Rings , Baked Beans , Green Beans , Slaw , and Mashed Potatoes , and more. So don't pass by this place on the way to the beach or elsewhere. Make sure to stop and get you some good ole Carolina Food made with Love.

I have some amazing benchmarks for what I consider an amazing dog/chili cheese dog. This one here just is not it. 1. Overpriced. Paid $20 for 2 chili cheese dogs, tots, and a fountain drink. 2. Once received, the 2 chili cheese dogs I expected to fill me up, looked very underwhelming. Basic grocery store bought buns - the extremely short ones you can find at cookouts. The chili- basic and grossly underserved. The cheddar cheese - again - basic store brought cheese, and sparsely spread. Asked for some chopped onions - sparsely spread. The tots - they were obviously frozen and oven baked. Not fried. If I'm wrong, then I'm mistaken. But I know what tots taste like from the oven vs deep fried. This is not a place for hot dog lovers. Please improved the quality. Unless Fayetteville is used to this display of quality. Be better please. Not coming back.

I paid $10.66 for a Fat Tire. You pay by the ounce and I won't make that mistake again. The service was excellent and they tried hard. I really wanted to like this place. It's too expensive for the amount and quality imo. Do not get the cheese nachos. Had better at sporting arenas.
