Great steaks and friendly service. Prompt and courteous and threw in a little something extra for my order. I highly recommend it.

I got a pound of pastrami to go. I have finished all of it now. This is made in-house and is really good; I mean really good to the point that it surprised me. I knew it would be good since locally-made, small-batch luncheon meats are always good, but this truly hit me with its unexpected good taste. I have never truly had pastrami before--just thought I had. I also got a slice of spicy jerky and it was tasty. What impressed me was that everything here is made in-house. They have sausage, wieners, jerky et al. The owner is passionate about his work. This is primarily a butcher shop, but they do serve lunch on a limited basis. We had the only offering for lunch which was roast beef with a single slice of provolone. It was served cold with no adornments. Lunch included chips and a drink. read more

Had the butcher burger for lunch. Really good. Normally I don't eat ground meat rare, but this place seems like the beef is quality, from one animal, etc. Also tried some jerky, different from my favorite style of cut, but still really good. I'll definitely come back. read more

Even if you are a vegan/vegetarian, go here to support the kind folks who work here. But seriously my husband & son loved the brisket burger. The brisket had such good flavor. Was about to leave Laurel after a photo gig and wanted a good burger. The day I went, the Bacon Cheddar burger was being featured. Lean great quality meat and all the right spices. Grilled with the bacon right in the blend. I really could have eaten it plain without any condiments, but opted for my usual mix of ketchup, mustard and mayo. They a good meat shop. Fresh meat. Their seasoning they make themselves is trash. Do not get anything they have seasoned with their own seasoning. Far as fresh meat goes they are a butcher shop and does what you would think. read more

Finally got to try the brown bag lunch today. The Ribeye Burger I had was amazing. It tasted like a burger I would grill at my house. It costs more that McDonald's, but it is well worth it. High quality meat cooked perfectly. Very speedy service, which is sometimes hard to find at lunch. read more

Think our timing was bad hitting this place so will definitely try again earlier next summer. They are getting ready for their summer vacation and understandably paring down on some things. My son came for jerky but really wanted to try it first and they were out of samples. My husband had the brown bag brisket burger (just try and say that five times fast) which he said was too dry for his taste. We tried the fudge but they didn't have what we came for on that so maybe next time. Regret not grabbing a couple of bones for our dogs while we were there. They are on the corner of the counter by the door and there's even a big water bowl outside. We love dog friendly places. There is a really great outdoor seating area. Would like to come back and enjoy lunch out there sometime when it's cooler as there's no shade and it was humid as expected for August here. read more
