This seems like a nice spot that offers daily specials along with a set menu of options. They have a gift store in the front when you first walk inside and then the restaurant is to your left. They have a buffet of the daily specials you can choose from or you can order off the paper menu or their chalkboard menu. This seems to be quite a popular spot in the area and around lunch time it can certainly get a bit crowded from what I observed but they seem to have more than enough tables for everybody. There is a playground area for children along with an outdoor patio next to the playground for parents to keep an eye on the kids. Overall this seems like a nice spot in the area and they have a decent selection of items on their menu along with a rotating selection of daily specials along with some great items they throw out as a nice surprise randomly. I ordered their Jumbo Cheeseburger, which is two very thick patties of beef which made it a really HUGE burger. I would have been quite happy with just their regular burger with one beef patty as I wasn't expecting the beef patties to be as thick as they were and I had no idea the "jumbo" came with two patties as there wasn't much explanation of that on the menu. So I really had quite a challange getting my first bite out of this jumbo sized burger as it was so huge my jaws could barely clamp down on an edge to make a dent in this monster. I also had some trouble with my bun not withstanding all of the ingredients stuffed inside of it (onions, lettuce, tomatoes) so there were some structural failures on the bottom part of the toasted bun that cracked it in half so I had to do some rebuilding to get the burger back together again. Well much like Humpty Dumpty I wasn't able to keep the bottom part of the bun together for long but somehow I still managed to polish off the burger without too much of a mess all things considered. Now onto the fries, which seemed to be the typical crinkle cut type found in most grocery store frozen food sections, now the texture of the fries seemed a bit less crisp on the outside than I prefer and I detected not a hint of seasoning so I doused those fries with a healthy shaking of salt! Overall I enjoyed my meal and the only things they could have done better would have been to have provided a better description of the "Jumbo Cheeseburger" so I would have known what a monster it was and then they only had mustard in packets. So I'm just not a fan of restaurants having a big huge container of ketchup but then only offering tiny little teeny dainty packets of mustard! I know the majority of Americans mostly eat that disgusting Ketchup stuff but there are still a sizable number of us that are 100% on team mustard which is most certainly the superior condiment with a far longer history and distinguished existence with humanity. So if they could just give equal representation to the mustard condiment and a bit better explanation of their food items I think everything would be ship shape from my perspective. If you decide to choose the Jumbo Burger don't plan on eating anything else that day or maybe for a couple of days as it is HUGE!!!

The BBQ sauce here is of the sweet variety and it was an OK version of a sweet sauce. So after some deliberation Momma decided to get the burger with sides of baked beans along with the mac and cheese. Well Momma was 100% not happy with her burger and she didn't even finish it... Just looking at the burger it appeared quite pathetic and weak as it had the beef patty thickness about the same as a generic McDonald's burger. Momma took about three bites and gave up as she said "this has to have been a pre-made generic beef patty they bought!" To add insult to injury they have a huge sign on the front of the building here that says "BURGERS" so they really need to upgrade their burger game here! So at the the conclusion of our meal both Momma and I agreed the mac & cheese was certainly lacking in the cheese department so we wouldn't recommend ordering that as a side item. Overall my brisket was alright while it would absolutely never win any BBQ competition. To my taste the food was below average for the most part other than most people seem to really love the pork ribs here which seems to be an area they consistently do well with at this joint (I don't eat pork so I have no opinion on the pork ribs). For the general area I will rank this spot a three star but in places with more BBQ options this spot would be two star joint or in BBQ Mecca places like Austin, TX a one star. Another small item of consternation to me here is they didn't have any lemon for my iced tea which so far has been a consistent occurrence in this area at the restaurants I've eaten at which just makes zero sense to me? The folks working here were nice and they did seem to draw a decent lunch crowd. So it generally seems plenty of folks like this place and my taste is certainly different from others tastes so obviously plenty of others seem to enjoy eating here which is fine. Upon entering, a woman was asleep with her head on a table near the bathrooms, and another customer was openly vaping inside the dining area -- neither situation was being addressed by staff. The restrooms were in poor condition: garbage cans overflowing onto the stall floors, a dirty and unflushed toilet. To their credit, soap and toilet paper were available, but the overall state was unacceptable for a food service establishment. At the counter, servers were calling out order numbers but made no attempt to acknowledge me or take my order. I eventually located an unmarked kiosk and placed my order that way. To be fair, the food came out quickly and my number was called promptly -- but I then had to ask separately for a cup, as none was provided with my drink order. Unfortunately, the food itself did not redeem the visit. Before I had even left the parking lot, I opened my bag to find cold, soggy fries, a chicken sandwich on hard, stale bread, and a chicken patty that was tough, chewy, and barely warm. In hindsight, the condition of the restaurant should have been my cue to leave before ordering. Between the cleanliness issues, inattentive service, and poor food quality, I cannot recommend this location.
