I really enjoyed visiting the Anaheim Packing House and trying the different places found here. I was really feeling a smash burger and this place was great. I got a wagyu double smash burger and it tastes very similar to an in n out burger with crispier meat. Service was great -- the line was pretty long and it took about 25 minutes to order so except that if you come during peak hours. This place is situated on the first floor of the packing house so there are tons of tables and just a very nice atmosphere to enjoy your food. There are about 3-5 tables exclusively for the Kroft diners. I would probably skip out on the fries next time as they weren't entirely memorable. Overall, I think this is a great place to check out if you're looking for a good burger at this food hop. read more

Been a long time since I have been in OC and went to the Kroft. Decided to swing by on Saturday night for some fries. I went with the BBQ Waygu Smash Fries. This delectable item contains their great fresh cut fries, 2 Waygu beef cheeseburgers, bacon bits, fried onion strings, and green onions, and a ton of BBQ sauce. Bring your water cup, these things are fucking salty as hell, but absolutely amazing! Reminded me of smashing up a Western Bacon Cheeseburger from Carls Jr minus the bun, and topping fries with it. We had the braised beef poutine, porchetta, peanut butter and jelly smash burger with a side of garlic fries. so delicious! The porchetta had crunchy pork belly and the salsa verde complemented the sandwich so perfectly. Yes I will have that again and again! Service was quick and friendly. Food is good. Easy no frills. Great place for quick grub. Was visiting the packing house recently for some grub. Walked around and ended up at this place based on the reviews. I like the open kitchen so you can see how clean and organized is their cooking area. We placed our order for burger, poutine and Brussels sprouts as appetizer. The curry poutine was very interesting and pretty tasty, this is apparently their signature dish. The burger was also pretty good. The Brussels sprouts was cooked well but had too much sauce on it, if they would have used half of the sauce it would have been perfect. Overall nice experience. Extremely frustrating experience. The cashier took the wrong order, and when we returned the item, James took it back but never placed a replacement order. We waited over 20 minutes with no update. When I finally asked about the status, James said, "We are busy." I told him that's not an excuse, and he actually replied, "Yes it is." So when it gets busy he forgets things and it's ok? That level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. No apology, no accountability, and no urgency to fix their mistake. Definitely not coming back. Edit in response to owners reply: I'm shocked. I never complained about the food. We ordered 5 burger and instead of the 5th burger they gave us smash burger fries that we never asked for and it was returned back to them. I asked for the my money back on the single item that was never delivered because it was already 40 min from the time I placed the order and we needed to leave. Never did I ask for a full refund. Poutine here is really good. I don't get poutine anywhere else really though but my group of 4 shared two poutines - loco moco and braised beef. We enjoyed both of them fairly well and would definitely get again. It's located downstairs in a small section inside the Packing House and the line can get pretty long. We also got their micheladas and it's just Modelo's micheladas from the can with their rimmed cup but it's very refreshing. read more

Located on the lower floor of the Anaheim packing house is long time gourmet sandwich and poutine shop the Kroft. I've had their porchetta sandwich before and this time I had the beef melt. The sandwich comes with swiss, arugula and pickled onions. The beef itself was a little too salty for my taste. I think if it had a strong mustard or horseradish sauce included it would have really put it over the top and mellowed out the saltiness. The bread was really good though. The sandwiches are average size. I wish that there was a bigger option and with more meat.... I also got the cheese curds which were really enjoyable. But cool down a little too quickly. Overall considering existing food prices. I think that this place is still fairly reasonable. read more

Another amazing find on Facebook. May 31st from 11 am til ? The Kroft at the Anaheim Packing House offered BOGO free of the same item. So of course my friend and I took advantage of such a great deal!! Way to go Kroft. Parking at the hour we went was a bit difficult to find since it was lunch hour (around noon-ish). We opted for Valet for $8 with tip $10. It was worth it so we didn't have to drive around looking for parking and wasting precious time. The valet is right in the front of the Packing House. My friend had never been and thought it was pretty cool. We looked around for The Kroft after walking around upstairs and finally asked where it was located (as there are 2 levels with food and beverage restaurants). If you want to go enjoy The Kroft, they are located on the first floor and to the east of floor tucked towards the back. The packing house has seating scattered throughout and each restaurant has their own as well as did The Kroft, but a bit tight together. We stood in a fairly short line to order. We opted for the Braised Beef Melt. The description of the meat marinating for 5 hours got us!! The sandwich was large enough to eat 1/2 and save the other half for dinner especially adding the garlic fries. The flavor and tenderness of the meat was a tasty balance along with the marinated/pickled red onions on it. Loved the arugula opposed to lettuce and the cheese was nicely melted. The Ciabatta was nice and soft. We thoroughly enjoyed every bite and to be honest it was hard to not eat the entire sandwich. The garlic fries were just that...garlicky but still very delicious! They were sprinkled with lots of garlic plus Parmesan cheese. Truly worth the garlic breath afterwards. For a drink we opted for Diet Pepsi. Definitely returning at some point with my hubby. Also, during this event The Kroft gave us goody bags with a t-shirt & sunglasses. Great find!! read more

Been coming to the Kroft for years now and I'm sad to say the food was inconsistent this last run, in comparison to our previous years coming here. Or maybe the quality is different from LBX. Sando was missing some cilantro or something vibrant. And the roll was different. Fries weren't hitting it as crispy for being "double fried." It's ok to change up recipes but also change the verbiage and descriptions on the food menus. Would still support the business just might have been an off day. read more

Definitely one of my favorite eateries at the Anaheim Packing District! Hits the spot every time. This was my third time here, and I took my friends with me. Every single poutine was phenomenal. My stand-outs have to be the braised beef and chicken katsu curry poutines. The braised beef is so tender, and the pickled onions cut through the rich gravy. The fries were perfectly crisp but had a fluffy interior. The katsu curry was so flavorful and the chicken was fried to perfection, and I also loved the cheese curds. Wow this was an excellent find. It was a busy Friday and a little difficult to find a table but so worth it. The food is a good mix of country fusion so it's a mix of everything. I came here to try the poutine but fell in love with the loaded baked potato. Wow this place is a foodie heaven. The country fries poutine came with chicken, lovely gravy, and fries that were just as tasty. The loaded potato is my new favorite. Every bite is packed with flavor and it is cooked to perfection. It has the typical ingredients you would find on a loaded baked potato but this one had gravy and somehow they have it all premixed. Whatever voodoo magic they do, it is a must try for potato lovers who like it loaded with flavors. Imma get two next time. The fried cheese curds were nice but I will pass next time to save room for the potato and /or try something else. Shout out to the green tea drink mixed next to cashiers. Not sure what all is in there but it's a tasty concoction and loved it. If they have it get it:) Packing district can be difficult to find parking but if your patient you will succeed and it's worth it. There is something for everyone in there. The ambiance is great for families or even a fun date. The Friday night we were there they had live music. Great place no doubt and the Kroft is located on the bottom floor on the back or on the left side if you enter from the main front entrance. (across from the blind rabbit shhhhhh). Explored Anaheim last night. Went to some cool breweries all walking distance to the packing house. After walking up and down the two floors deciding where to eat We ended up at Kroft. We got the wagyu smash burger. This was the best burger I've ever had in my life. There was this nice crunch along the edges that you don't normally get that really stood out. The melted cheese OMG! I highly recommend this place. Especially after visiting three breweries. If you love yourself reward your life with the best burger in the entire universe. read more

Came to the Kroft for dinner tonight courtesy of Yelp! I ordered the braised beef melt, and my husband got a smash burger. I will say, I feel like the prices are a tad high for the food that you get. Service is quick. You order at the counter and then can sit down or give them your phone # and they will text you when it's ready. The beef melt was good, but I felt like the cheese made it a tad salty. I liked the pickled red onions on it as they added a sweetness to it. My husband enjoyed the smash burger. I really enjoy this place! While the restaurant's private seating is limited, the Packing House offers plenty of seating options, so it's not a problem. I almost always order the Shortrib poutine (creature of habit), but everything else that I have tried has been tasty. The lines can be long at times, but if you can handle the parking situation for the Packing House, the wait for the food is definitely worth it. The "loaded" baked potato was pretty average--it was more like "dusted" with toppings than loaded with them. I give 10 stars for the poutine but that potato needs some love. Located on the lower level of the Anaheim Packing District, the Kroft is one of very few places that serve Canada's greatest junk food export: poutine. I went with the "classic" version--gravy and curds over a ton of fries--and it was delicious. I would have licked the box if no one was watching. read more

We arrived just before 7 PM on a Wednesday, and since it wasn't too busy, we were able to order right away. I went with the chicken parm poutine, while my boyfriend chose the fried chicken sandwich. He really enjoyed his sandwich, but unfortunately, my poutine was a major letdown. The fries were cold, the tomato sauce poured over them was also cold, and the fried chicken pieces were barely lukewarm. At $13, cold fries just don't cut it for me--I probably won't be back. read more
