Such a great burger spot in Anaheim! We really enjoyed everything we tried. The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, and the cheesy fries were AMAZING. I also really appreciate that they offer beef bacon, which you don't find everywhere! We tried the Biscoff shake too and it was SO good, creamy, sweet, and the perfect way to finish the meal. Everything tasted fresh and the portions were great. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to. Highly recommend if you're craving a good burger, loaded cheesy fries, and a delicious shake!

Sign Smashed Burger in Orange County is a Halal option for an iconic SoCal food. My partner absolutely adores smash burgers so I tried some and something I've noticed about Halal foods is that the beef tastes a lot more cleaner, less oily, and eating the food doesn't make you feel gross from the cholesterol intake. Anyways, I thought the Halal smash burgers were great. Definitely recommend if you want to try a healthier alternative to regular smash burgers.

I saw this spot on Instagram and figured we'd give it a try since we're fans of smash burgers. We were greeted by a friendly employee and he was happy to make all of the modifications we wanted to the burgers. We ordered the triple burger with the sign sauce instead of the smash sauce and the signature burger. The food came out quickly and the burgers were very hot, but the fries didn't seem to be completely fresh. I really enjoyed the sign sauce which had a little kick to it. Without it though, the burger patties were a little under seasoned. Overall it was a good meal, but with so many other smash burger spots in the OC I don't know if I'll be returning.

Smash burgers aren't usually high on my list when out and about. My homies got Cali Tacos next door but I wasn't feeling Mexican food. No line when I got there and just chose a single patty burger. My beef (no pun intended) with a lot of smash burgers is that the patties are dangerously thin. Yes that's the point and I can order two super thin patties for my burg but it's the principal! The patty in mine was flavorful, brioche was soft and pillowy, and the mayo based sauce wasn't too saucy. So easy to chow down one of these beauts in record time.

Awesome Smashed Burger Place. Everything tasted delicious and not overly done. I ordered the Signature Burger Meal and the Burger was absolutely perfect. Definitely will be coming back here if i'm in the area

We really enjoyed it! The burgers had perfectly crispy edges while still being juicy, and everything tasted fresh. We also loved how casual and laid-back the spot was, making it perfect for a quick lunch or burger run. Service was friendly and everything came out pretty quickly. There are so many burger spots around OC now, but SIGN is definitely one we'd come back to. If you're a smashburger fan, add this one to your list!

Small, no-frills spot with a very casual atmosphere. The location itself is pretty tiny, with the walls decorated with LED lights and signs, which fits perfectly with the Sign Burger name. Ordering is fast-casual and counter style, and the service was decent, nothing particularly memorable, but efficient enough. This might be the best smashburger I've had in Orange County. I ordered the truffle burger, which I believe is a seasonal item. The burger itself was fantastic. My only complaint is that I didn't get much actual truffle flavour. I could taste it in a few bites, but it was pretty subtle overall. I also tried the Dirty Fries. TBH there was just a little too much going on for my taste. Next time, I'll probably stick with the regular fries. One thing I love is that they offer beef bacon as a topping option. You don't see that very often, and it's a great alternative if you don't eat pork or just want to try something different. And a huge bonus: they give you gloves to eat the burgers with.

The strawberry shake was amazing and really hit the spot on a hot day. I usually don't get shakes often but it was nice to have it with the burger. The burger is good but nothing special. I'd come back for the shake though.

Believe it or not first time ever trying a smash burger and loved it! When I ordered from the menu in the TV screens I didn't see many options. They had your standard 1, 2, 3 patties and their signature truffle or signature song smash burger. So I naturally ordered one of each. As I took my bite it was all good like I expected. Soft bun, cheesy, and the crisp patty was as expected and tasted great. I do however need lettuce and tomato. Even in a smash. The lettuce and tomato option was not in the menu but after giving feedback to the cashier, she said that lettuce and tomato are available. If I ever go back that's what I'm getting. Inside was standard. 3/5 stars in cleanliness. I just don't think they wipe and upkeep as much as they need to in a high traffic store. One thing that also kept this from 5 stars is that the parking lot is HORRIFIC. I circled 4 times before I snuck into a spot. People are not nice either. They double parked, honked, and just rude behind the wheel.

Craving some burgers and wanting to try somewhere new, I decided to try Sign. Initially, I walked into the establishment thinking it was going to be another "fast food burger joint" but walked out craving another burger. The ambiance is minimalistic with a few tables along the wall and a long window table for solo eaters. However, the owner/cook are super friendly and accommodating. I ordered the signature and the double burger meal (w/ loaded fries). First off, the loaded fries is one of the best. It doesn't aesthetically look "all that," but it just HITS. The jalapeños and grilled onions balance out the cheese and bacon. As for the signature burger, the crispy cheese was a great complement to the perfectly seasoned patties. The texture of the cheese was just right: a nice balance of almost crispy but also gooey with a small cheese pull. Perfection. I haven't had a good smash burger in OC for a while, so this was a pleasant surprise. The establishment is located within a plaza, so parking can get a bit difficult when busy, but I came in on a Sunday afternoon and there were plenty of spaces available. I will definitely be back. A++!

i'm a big believer that sauce makes a smash burger and this place killed it with their sauce pairings. I love that they make the patty super crispy and the flavors are amazing. we tried the signature smash burger, the double, and the truffle one. all three were delicious and service was so fast. it's a great place to eat at and the fries are shoestring which are my favorite. the loaded fries were also amazing. I ended the meal with the strawberry shake which was super refreshing and didn't taste artificial

Burgers here are BOMB!! I ordered the signature smash with an extra patty, beef bacon bits, and tomato with light sign sauce which was easily one of the best smash burgers I've ever had. The patties were cooked perfectly, the beef bacon bits were super flavorful, and the burger was composed masterfully. Wasn't a giant mess and didn't fall apart while eating it, though they do have a station with gloves and napkins inside in the event you truly feel like going to town. Have to give a shoutout to the service here as well as the staff were friendly and did a great job about making sure each order was prepared properly and timely. Definitely give this place a shot when you're in the area, your tastebuds will thank you!

    Signature + Extra Patty

Sub-par smash burger experience that fell short of hype and expectations. Going into this experience, I had generally high expectations since a lot of my friends recommended it. Upon entering, there is a small storefront for ordering and just a few tables for seating. Seems that this establishment is tailored for to-go. I got the signature + 1 extra patty (3 patties total) and a side of fries. While the ordering was seamless and quick, I didn't receive my order until about 20 minutes later which was disappointing considering this seemed like a fast casual joint. As can be seen from the pictures, the food was rather plain. The burger was super dry, with little sauce inside. Believe me when I say that I was very surprised; I honestly don't think it's hard to mess up a burger but alas, it was not enjoyable. The fries provided were pretty standard in quality but a little lacking in quantity. Overall, I would not recommend this establishment.

I ordered their Topa Topa Burger, Okonami fries and a Dr Pepper to drink. We sat outside on the patio since it was a nice evening at the time. All our food came out pretty quickly and around the same time as we had ordered one after the other. My burger was delicious! All their burgers here are made from wagyu meat. Mine came with sliced avocado (pretty much half of an avocado) which was ripe, smooth and creamy. It also came with crunchy onion strings and their special Topa Topa sauce and of course some kewpie mayo and shredded cabbage. The cabbage was super crunchy and fresh. The buns were super soft and toasted perfectly. The fries were alright. The Okonamiyaki style was unique and the toppings were tasty. My Dr Pepper was a little too sweet, maybe it was more syrup than carbonated water. Overall the burgers here were great! I also got an order for my boyfriend later that night. Ordering to go was super easy. My boyfriend devoured his Spicy Miso burger. Service here was great as well. Would come back for the burgers!

We were lucky and found a parking space on Bush St. We both ordered the Classic Hammer Burger ($10) and a regular order of shoestring fries. I was surprised at how busy they were. The burgers come out fresh and hot. They are smashed thin and have a crispy edge. The slice of cheese is perfectly melted. There are grilled onions at the bottom of the burger and the top is dressed with thick cut pickles and a decorative drizzle of Hammer Sauce. One of the things I like most about this burger is the overall texture and the proportions of beef to the steamed potato bun. It's soft and melty and delicious. The fries are great too (thin and crispy) and they have a nice selection of house sauces. Their signature Hammer Sauce, White BBQ sauce, Garlic Sauce, Chipotle Mayo, Jalapeño Ranch and Ranch. I went around the world and tried every one. Customizing your sauce by mixing a few together is not a bad idea and likely a veteran move. I have had their sweet potato fries before and they are above average. I have also had their chili cheese fries and a cup of chili...not bad. Their Flatty Melt ($11) was the first burger I tried when going the first time. Unique and tasty. I've also had Spicy Smash ($11) that has a pile of grilled jalapeño's on top. It's hot so be prepared. They have a nice selection of beers but I haven't gone down that road yet. Lunch was so good, I bought my son-in-law a $75 gift certificate. The downtown area has really be revitalized and now it's fun to walk around.

One of the staff mentioned how they were packed last weekend with all the FIFA games. We ordered take out - a classic Hammer Burger, a half order of chili cheese fries, and a small order of onion rings. Sauce station was near the soda, you could get whichever ones you liked. Despite our 15 minute drive home, the food was still warm and really delicious. The burger had good flavor with and without their house sauce. The chili cheese fries were skinny fries with a cheese sauce and bean-less chili. The chili was filling and had a little kick to it. The batter-fried onion rings were (still) crispy and yummy with both ranch and the house sauce. We will definitely be back to fill our smashburger and chili cheese fries cravings! Doors wide open so I knew there wouldn't be a/c running during this painful heat wave and I was right. It was hot in there. No one at the counter, so we awkwardly wait for about 4 or 5 minutes that felt a lot longer. Someone pops out, no greeting, like we interrupted them (maybe we did) and we order. I got a grilled cheese and my friend got the burger. He got the combo. When the dude asked if I wanted a drink, I said just a cup for water. He hesitated, then the look on his face looked like he was mad about it. We pay, my friend doesn't leave a tip on the screen because I wanted to tip in cash. And it took forever to get the receipt to the point of my friend saying "it's cool, don't need it". This dude seemed so annoyed by us. He didn't give us our cups so we sat down. He starts making the food. I was like, he's waiting to give us our cups so we get less refills since we only got one soda (just me overthinking, who really knows). When the food was ready, he brings it out to us, which was nice. My friend said, oh our drinks! And stands up. The guy points to the cups next to the register so apparently we were supposed to grab our own cups. The water from the soda fountain was good, didn't have that tap taste. That's a plus. We didn't share the soda, which I felt we were silently being accused of doing. The fries are hot and fresh and were really good. The grilled cheese was nothing special, smashed kinda flat so not super cheesy and pretty much like one your babysitter makes you at home. But that's a good thing so no complaint. My friend said the burger was really good, and the thousand island style sauce was superb- he said it tasted homemade and had a nice kick and took the burger to a higher level. Anyway, it was just an annoying experience that would have been a lot better if the guy showed any sense of friendliness and if he simply said "go ahead and grab your cups". Will I come back? No idea. Maybe not during a heat wave. I'd like to try the burger myself.
