Haven't met a sandwich I don't like. My new favorite -- birria sandwich. Think of it as a Mexican style French dip. The aroma captured me and then the flavors which is why I completely forgot to take a photo. Guess I'll have to go back and have it again. The beef had no flavor and it also didn't come with the Monterey Jack cheese. The fries were good but could have used some salt. The cheesesteak sandwich was okay. Again the meat was not seasoned. My brother and I decided to go here after wandering around and I can say that this place is good! I had the wagyu smash burger and it's pretty decent! The burger itself is a bit dry but the cheese and sauce balance it out. The cheese does get a bit overwhelming at times but other than that it's pretty good! The size of the burger too is big in my opinion (I don't usually eat very much) but the burger is definitely good to split between 2 people! The parking area is kind of ok but hard to find parking even on a Friday around noon. Overall: would go here if the wait isn't too long! read more

Our burgers were so delicious and filling. We both tried their new signature smash burgers ; the spicy jack smash burger and the French onion dip smash burger. They were both good but somehow tasted almost the same in terms of toppings. The only major difference of course is the sauce it includes (still good!). They weren't too greasy and didn't sit heavy on a full stomach. I wish they gave more complimentary sauces alongside their combos but it's 37cents extra per more sauce. With that being said, if you decide to get more sauce; the pineapple habanero sauce was phenomenal! I couldn't get enough of it. The seating is comfortable given how much space they're allotted to. I ordered the smash burger which did not let me down. The smash burger that I ordered was extremely juicy, flavorful, and was cooked to perfection. The smash burger that I ordered also included a nice caramelized crust, which provides a smash burger additional flavor. I paired my smash burger with their gravy smothered fries, topped with fried chicken. Their gravy smothered fries were excellent because they were very crispy prior to being smothered in gravy, and the fried chicken on top of the gravy provided an additional crunchy texture and seasonings to each bite of the fries and to the gravy. The combination of the gravy smothered fries and fried chicken made for a rich and deliciously flavored dish that could have easily been its own holiday treat. Inside the Kroft there was very little seating. However, despite the large crowds and long wait lines during the holidays, the Kroft staff were friendly and helpful! Getting a table and having a chance to enjoy their food while experiencing the great vibe of the Packing District was relatively simple and enjoyable. My son was arriving at LGB aka Long Beach Airport and so after picking him up we went to LBX Hangar to see what interests my taste buds when I walk around the food court. So I saw their rotisserie cooking up the pork belly Porchetta and so I went with the Porchetta sandwich. Some cheese curds with garlic Mayo and a French onion smash burger. The service was ok, at least there were no mistakes. The burger and sandwich were good. The Porchetta on ciabatta was a bit oily, but very tasty. I would actually try some of their other sandwiches. Etched in the packing district with dozens of food options to choose from, one of my favorite options to choose from for food that always satisfies whatever mood I'm in is The Kroft. Small seating area (to be expected it's the packing district), the menu is plentiful and the workers are helpful, especially with a lot of items I've never tried before. Got the loco moco and the classic fries, and my goodness I could eat 10 boxes of each. I rarely go to the Anaheim Packing House but every time I do, I get food from The Kroft, and it's always a poutine. You cannot go wrong with the poutine. Service is standard; I received my order in 10 minutes. There's plenty of general seating all around the Packing House, so you don't need to sit directly at the food stand. I usually get the country fried chicken poutine. It comes with sausage gravy, cheese curds, chicken nuggets, bacon, and green onions. The last time I got this, the chicken was very dry, almost overcooked, but this time it was piping hot and the right amount of crisp. Personally, I think there needs to be more gravy and more fries. It is a little pricey though. If you are hungry, I would recommend getting a burger or sandwich with a side of fries. read more

The Wagyu poutine had good flavor and was definitely the better of the two, but it leaned very salty--the sauce was a bit overpowering and didn't quite live up to the hype. The Packing District itself was pretty quiet at that time, and not everything was open, which made for a more low-key experience. The Kroft is one of the many "walk up" food options in the Anaheim Packing District, and is located on the lower floor. They have their own dedicated seating area with several tables, or you can order your food and take it anywhere in the building. I was craving a good burger and ordered their Spicy Jack Smash Cheeseburger. You give the cashier your phone number and they text you when your order is ready. Food pick up is right around the corner from the register at the front of the eatery. The cashier was very friendly, and upon request she gave me a plastic cup for their free ice water dispenser. They were moderately busy and it only took about five minutes for my burger to be ready. There is a row of half-booth/tables right in front of The Kroft and a friend and I ate there. My burger had a great soft, buttery bun with plenty of smash burger meat sticking out. Both patties had a nice char on them, and overall the burger had great flavor. Unfortunately, the heat level was very mild. I was expected more of a kick with spicy jack cheese and roasted jalapeno garlic mayo. My friend had the regular Double Wagyu Smash Cheeseburger and enjoyed it. For $2 less, I would just get that next time. He ordered the spicy fries which had a reddish sprinkle on them, and those were indeed pretty spicy, probably around a 6 on a scale of 1 to 10. The Kroft has good burgers reasonably priced, but the lack of spice on my burger left me wanting more. The Kroft has always been a local favorite and it's establishment goes even beyond Anaheim. Thank goodness it's here and has been a long standing favorite amongst the Anaheim Packing District! Now with favorites, comes the locals as I said before, but then also comes the plethora of people filling parking spaces. Now the brightside is you're likely to catch people leaving because of the constant flow of car to foot to car traffic so finding a spot shouldn't be too tricky. When it is though, expect the only best spots near the yard along the train tracks and gravel. ‍‍ Now when you find your way to Kroft for a reward after finding a parking spot, expect service to be thorough, straight forward and quick with their handiness. Every single person I've asked, always had a favorite! And thankfully, these various favorites never carried a huge price tag. Compared to places beyond and around the Packing District, these prices are pretty average, especially for the portion you get. That goes especially for the French Dip. An amazing cut of meat for the sandwich and it also has a savory "french" dip that really carried the meat, onions, bread and sauce together. Quick service and super tasty food! To put in perspective. My MIL is one of the pickiest eater. She pretends she's not by eating some portions of her food.
