Step into a world of wonder at Porta Rossa! This month's Willy Wonka theme was a delightful surprise. With creative drinks inspired by the movie, indoor and outdoor spaces, a tasty food truck, and great music, it's an experience you won't forget. Whether you're a fan of the film or just looking for a fun night out, Porta Rossa is the place to be!

This is the forth business I've visited at this location, they've each been a bar so its unfortunate that places don't seem to stick for more than a couple years and I don't know if Porta Rossa will cut it, either. They seem to be going for the trendy 'post us on the 'gram' aesthetic and its kind of cute to walk into, some nice lights and solid music but I wouldn't imagine it being the spot to hit up on the regular once the whimsy wears off, but who knows since they seem to do some seasonal/pop up events to keep drawing folks in. Drinks were overpriced it felt like for the space they were in, especially thinking back to the spots that were open there previously. Feels nitpicky to mention but the door man checking IDs seemed super out of place with how stern he came off (especially when its a pair of thirty year olds walking in, thanks I guess?) The whole scene was kind of a one and done scenario for us, just check it out and peace out. If you're into this spot, I think you just need to full commit to travel the extra few blocks and actually check out Elsewhere. If I'm paying this much for drinks, I'd rather do it from their bench swings overlooking the river.

My wife and I went here looking to get out , hear some music, and have a drink! When you arrive there is a sign right off Broadway that just says Bar in red letters. But when you enter you come through a very vibrant and welcoming patio area. The patio area has tables, swings, lounge chairs, and someone cooking up a few delights. Inside you will find small sitting areas and a well stocked bar. Very chic but enjoyable place. The drinks all depend on the bartender however. I ordered a first round for my wife and I and it was a little light on the DRINK. The second round however was exactly want the DRINKER ordered! A nice pour that left you satisfied. As the night went in the place got a little busier and a younger (21+) grows came in. It is a melting pot of everyone in SA and the music as well. No one dominant genre but it was a great vibe. There is a gentleman checking IDs as the door. The only bad thing I had was the bar is small but does have 3-4 bartenders. It just gets crowded to get a drink as the night goes on.

This was my second time here. The first time I came with two other friends, and the mixologist made us some awesome drinks. I decided to bring back a group of friends who really enjoy whiskey because of their whiskey menu options. They loved it. The atmosphere is really cool. Hasn't and has a nice vibe. And then when the DJ starts playing, it's a lot of fun. Lots of spots for some fun pictures! Highky recommend. It is a little pricey, but worth it! I love their fun menu!

We came up check out this bar last minute and it didn't disappoint. We thought we'd be there for a drink but we stayed for a few hours! They had a DJ playing and a food truck outside so there wasn't any reason to leave! The drinks tasted very fresh and amazing. The entire place was very clean and well kept. They do share their restroom with the apartment complex but it's a 30 second walk through the back door.

I've been here countless of times, no drama. Good vibes & cute neon backdrop for photos with friends. Djs play a variety of genres, however it's very challenging to get a drink at the bar :/

New bar with outdoor patio. We went on a Friday and they had a jazz band outside. The patio area has a few swings you can hang out on. Two fit per swing. They have a good amount of tables and chairs too. The inside area is small You must order at the bar and it can get crowded. They have a good selection of drinks and beers. I had the rosemary old fashioned not knowing it wasn't going to be anything like an old fashion. Appears they make craft cocktails. It was smoked and it tasted super sweet. I had my heart set on typical old fashioned, so I was a little disappointed. Plus the smoke flavor overpowered the drink. The tamarindo margarita was good. The citrus mojito should be called something else. Don't get me wrong, it tasted citrusy, but no mint to be found in it. If you're looking for a craft cocktail, this is your place. If you're not, you can still order a plain beer. They do have some good specials on beers right now . The atmosphere was fun. They allow dogs in their patio. They had a food truck the night I went and you didn't even have to walk outside to order. Parking is very difficult. There's a handful of parking spaces in the garage next to it or you can try your luck with street parking.

I previously dismissed this place but after attending a few events there (most recently a birthday party) and enjoying their Smoked Rosemary Old Fashioned I'm sold! I also recommend trying the Carajillo! I dig the vibe! 21+ Please drink responsibly!

Such a cute little spot downtown. Love the neon sign and the fact that there are bathrooms! Good live music and fun drinks.

Came to catch up with a friend for drinks- neither of us had ever been. Fun and chill atmosphere, the music was awesome and of course everyone loves the very instagrammable LED light! The cocktails are so good, we ended up having three each- favorite was the green piña colada (& it was $5)! Our bartender who is also a manager offered us a complimentary salted caramel shot to apologize for accidentally closing our tab before we were ready, which was completely not necessary but very much appreciated! Both my friend and I will definitely return in the future and I recommend it to anyone looking for a great early afternoon drink (or 3)

Stopped in to grab food from the food truck. Decided to try their Oaxaca old fashioned. Has a nice, warm and rich flavor. Great outdoor patio and a small indoor space. The bartenders were cordial and quick.

Not the best bar I've ever been to, this place needs work. The bartenders aren't doing anything if they aren't serving customers they need to be doing something else. I came for music and was left semi dissatisfied. This is a small bar that wants to be a big one which I don't mind but there's a way to do this correctly.

This was my first time here and I'm anxious to go back on a busier night. We bar hopped this past Sunday night and stopped here. The option of sitting outdoors with swings, tables and an outside bar or hanging out inside with low lighting, beautiful and comfortable seating is probably what I love best. 2 different vibes in one place! Most places have only 1 of the 2 options and if they have both they're rarely a craft cocktail bar. I had an old fashioned, not on their cocktail menu but just a traditional one and it was great! One of the bartenders had a good playlist playing but I believe they typically have a Dj. Great ambiance for sure! I'll be back!
