If you've been to Traffic or to the "young and modern" section of Saks Fifth Avenue or Neimen…read moreMarcus, then you pretty much have a good inkling of what Politix Clothing will be like ('spensive like WHOAH, ho...) except Politix isn't as good as any of the aforementioned places.
That's not to say Politix is bad -- it isn't. The variety of styles, brands, and articles is diverse and impressive. Shoes, jewelry, tops, jeans, dresses, jackets, hats... if you can wear it and are willing to pay a pretty penny, Politix may have it.

That's one of the big problems with Politix: although they have many nice things (cool T-shirts, nice outerwear, etc.) they tend to run only large sizes in men's clothes -- and even women's clothes are hard to find if you're under a size four or five. I don't know if that's because the smaller sizes tend to sell faster or because the store never had them in the first place, but the fact remains that if you find something you like, it will be too big for you.
If you do buy something, you might end up having to drop some more coin at an alterations place to make it fit properly.
"Maybe they have more sizes in their stockroom?" you ask yourself...
-- But don't even think of asking a sales associate for help. Although some of them are kind of cool and will actually ask you if you need assistance, most of them will give you a rude once-over when you come in, then ignore you while they continue their [loud, profanity-laced] conversation about which of them is the more important player in the high-fashion world, or which of them has an exciting, important career outside of this job and they only hang out at the mall because... yeah...

The stacks of shirts are often in messy, disorganized piles, and just as regularly the workers seem to stand around oblivious to this, on occasion lackadaisically attempting to straighten out the displays, but just as often drinking Frapuccinos on the sales floor -- more "hanging out" than actually working.
Maybe it's just my own experience but there was definitely a negative, borderline antagonistic vibe from the staff -- at one point I overheard employees making fun of another customer behind her back.
Classy.
All in all, the selection of clothes, shoes, and accessories is great, although the sizing is very limited and the service for the most part is atrocious. Politix is a good place to go if you're looking for that one-off closet gem that you come across every so often, for which you're wiling to pay a fortune.
My own recommendation is that you go to Traffic or Barney's New York instead -- you'll still meet prohibitive price tags, but at least the employees' enthusiasm when helping you isn't predicated on how cool they think you are, or aren't.
