The mission there is to TEACH them how to swim and this you can tell. Sure they cried at first but after a few more sessions they quickly got out of that mode and are eager to attend. Joy and Samantha have been great and have a lot of patience. A few times the classes had to be rescheduled due to unforeseen issues but they are easy to make up.The classes are small. I listened to Joy's advice and sat where my youngest could not see me at first when he was crying and voila- the tears stopped. Now he can't wait for me to watch him swim. I'm glad I stuck to it even though they cried the whole time the first few session as both can't wait to jump in after a matter of times and have learned vital life skills.

They will present you a contract that…read moreincludes coping, but then attempt to hold your pool project hostage until you agree that they DON'T have to install coping, despite it being in the contract that they wrote. After that, the owner, Jeremy, will call you and tell you that because there is no coping, they are not responsible for the shoddy work they did during the installation. Once we started getting other contractors to look at the installation, they declined to install or warrant any coping because the underlying concrete was already deteriorating and would cause the coping to crack and loosen. We had resorted to using outdoor carpet around the pool because no reputable pool or tile company in the area will touch this project. After only one year, the pool installation has deteriorated to the point that it will have to be replaced. This is an outright scam. It's a shame that they were the only pool company that carried the fiberglass pool shell we wanted. Had we known, we would have definitely found someone else. As you can see from the photos, there is only a concrete collar installed, no coping. We have since learned that if the concrete is that thin, it requires rebar or mesh reinforcement, and it obviously has neither. If it hadn't started cracking immediately, we would likely have been fooled by the thin, un-reinforced concrete. We have spent the last three years trying to get Fairfield to remedy this situation, and have had to reach out to the shell manufacturer for assistance.

The playground is never too crowded and though it's part of the rec center there is no membership needed. For those that are members or want to do a day pass they also have an indoor pool and splash pad play area. The splash pad is fun but the individuals they choose to monitor it really deter from the whole experience. The other weekend we were there and my daughter and two friends were playing Barbie's and decided to wet their hair. No throwing them or anything wild just wet their hair. A woman first approached one of the girls (a 5 year old) and sternly told her that was not allowed. Which in and of itself was not acceptable. Kids being kids they went again to wet Barbie's hair and along came the same woman, only this time she confronted the mom. The mom said she'd stop it and asked the woman if in the future she would not address issue directly with her child rather come directly to her. She pointed out the tone of the woman voice used ti speak to children to which the woman stood there and begun confronting the mom. Stating repeatedly this is my voice and I'm not shouting. We all stayed calm and simply asked her to walk away. She repeated herself a few more times before walking back to her chair. All that being said, apart from the overwatch at the splash pad it is a fun place to take the kiddos.

Also loses a star for not having a pool on location (they have an outdoor pool in Monroe). However, the facility is very clean with a friendly staff. We had a wonderful time celebrating our son's 5th birthday party in the giant gymnastics room. This event was affordable and well organized. We would definitely celebrate here again!
