We had lunch here with some friends we made on the island during our trip. My partner and I arrived first and Troy suggested that we wait for another couple to leave so that he could clean their table and seat us there since it was closest to the seaside. I had a Cruzan Confusion since I was sampling the recipe from every restaurant I visited. For our meals, we had the grilled lobster (freshly caught that day) and the tuna dinner (grilled freshly caught tuna, spiced yellow rice, plaintains, and a salad). The lobster came with spiced yellow rice and beans and a cucumber salad. The food was outstanding. I have never had grilled tuna that was so perfectly seasoned with paprika. For dessert, Troy offered us an assortment of rum cakes (Strawberry Banana, Butterscoth, Amaretto Chocolate, Pineapple Passionfruit) served with whipped cream and two homemade ice cream flavors. The rum cakes were so moist and flavorful. The view from The Landing is phenomenal. We looked out upon a beautiful beach with various shades of aquamarine. read more

The location is amazing. Very beach bar vibes. They had a "take out" deck for beach goers to order food and take it back to the beach which was a very nice feature to offer instead of going physically into the bar. We ordered the chicken wings with the Caribbean spice and shrimp tacos. The chicken wings ( 8 wings) were not great, over cooked and dry and didn't come with any dipping sauces. The shrimp tacos were pretty good, it came with three tacos. The shrimp was cooked well and the ingredients were very fresh. Two of the tacos had three shrimp while the third only had two. The total for these two items was about $35. read more

Ordered food for takeout, specifically the Caribbean spice wings and the shrimp tacos. The wings were alright and the tacos were very bland, with little to no taste to the shrimp or tacos overall. Unlikely that I would order either again, however the establishment is right on the beach which lent itself to a nice view and the staff was very nice. This restaurant is such a gem - right in the smack dab of Cane Bay. You can grab a painkiller and onion rings on the beach and then come back for a lobster dinner at night. Great prices, great staff, great patio. read more

Came here on our first day and wasn't fully impressed. It's located across the street from the beach and is a very popular spot. We sat by the bar which didn't have the best smell but had a great view. Drinks were decent. But the food.. was a mixture of things. I ordered the lobster which lacked flavor, they gave just butter. The people next to us got the mussel dish and I immediately wanted that sauce for my lobster but they make that to order so couldn't just have some on the side so we ordered the mussel too. Let me tell you! That sauce is exactly what the lobster was missing, hopefully they find a way to make that sauce on the side because it was EVERYTHING! If we had to come back or recommend anyone, would be for the mussels for sure! read more

Stopped in for lunch on 7/21 around 135ish with my family of 6. Was seated quickly and our server came over to us right away. We ordered our drinks & meals. Got the drinks at 1:50pm & our food at 2:10pm. The food was really good. Ordered 6 meals & 2 of 4 kids got free ice cream with their meal at the end. The ice cream & the cakes we orders as well were delicious. The service was great and while the seating is open air there were fans everywhere to keep it cool for the guests. Our server was great and checked on us frequently. This is our 3rd favorite spot to eat & its nice that the beach is only a short walk away. The views from here are beautiful. The Landing was able to fit us in after another Cane Bay restaurant cancelled our reservation. Service was great. Pina Colada and Pain Killer were great. Lobster pate was excellent. The fresh tuna and lobster were wonderful and the sides were just as good. Going back for a second night in a row--beautiful setting. read more

Excellent ocean and sunset views from the bar. Lots of parking and definitely worth the drive. Friendly bartenders and good food. I had the Fish and Chips with Mahi Mahi and it was delicious. I would highly recommend. I recommend getting there late afternoon to watch the sunset. There was also a local musician who was very good. read more

Filled with locals and tourists alike, this trendy open air bar/restaurant is located across from Cane Beach and the view is magnificent!! We sat at the bar so we could overlook the view. We ordered the Grilled Mahi Sandwich with the cucumber side salad and the Mahi Tacos with onion rings. I would highly recommend them both and the cucumber salad was an excellent side! For drinks, I ordered my first Painkiller while on the island, and I never stopped...lol. They are delicious! Our bartender was extremely nice, as is most on the island. Ohhhhh The Landing was DELICIOUS!! I had the lobster tacos and my boo :-) has the Philly cheesesteak with lobster (you know I has to get a bite). Everything was well seasoned. I had NO complaints on the amount of lobster in my tacos. I asked for the pasta salad and mistakenly received the potato salad (I honestly did not care for) however, my tacos made up for the mistake. Lime in the coconut (adult beverage) was delicious not too much lime zest which was appreciated to avoid the bitter taste. Service was fast and our hostess kept making sure that we was okay. She apologized for the potato salad mistake and wanted to give me my original order of pasta however, I was satisfied with not having it. Ambiance was really nice. There was a gentleman playing the steel pan which gave the island vibe while dining. Now I WILL be going back to try the grilled lobster stay tuned. Take a trip to St. Croix and Try 'em!!! read more

Last night was our second dinner here of our trip. We wanted to try the lobster and the had fresh catch yesterday. This has a great location, right across from the beach. Both noghts had lice music. The first night down below the restaurant near the outside bar, great band, lot of people dancing. Last night the musicians were in the restaurant playing steel drums. Added to the experience. Last night we tried the lobster - one 8lb lobster we shared. It was grilled, great seasoning. The other night we had the mahi. The cucumber salad side is fabulous, had both times. read more

I stopped by The Landing Beach Bar on my first day in St. Croix as it was conveniently located up the road from my hotel. It's a cute and quaint spot located directly across from Cane Bay. The set up is what you'd expect of any open air restaurant out on the water. I stopped in on a Monday night around 6 PM. It was super busy with patrons at both the bars and tables. I found out from a local that Monday nights is their burger special and it can get quite busy. I chose to wait for a seat at the bar as I was dining alone. The wait wasn't too long given the amount of people. Once seated, I was greeted fairly quickly. Service was just okay, nothing more to say about that. Because of the conversation I had with the local I did order the burger. I also got two drinks, a rum punch of sorts and a mojito. Both were nice and strong. The burger was just okay, nothing to phone home about. Overall, I'd give this place another try maybe on a day they aren't as busy. I didn't take any pictures of the food because again, nothing too fancy...it was just a burger and fries. But the video attached shows the view from the bar. read more

We visited this bar during on out way to the airport. Great choice! The bar is located directly across from the beach which provides great views. The seating is outdoor but with great covering and shade. We were seated immediately upon arrival. I love the concept of the bar. We enjoyed fresh guacamole, red snapper sandwich, and wings. First let me say the views of the sunset from the Landing are spectacular. Now, the food...I've tried the Caribbean spice wings,l and chicken tacos, and let's just say my husband and I went back a total of three times during our week long stay. I never do this but this experience was like no other. My husband and I are visiting the island and had many recommendations to visit the landing for lobster. The views from the restaurant are gorgeous. We went in for lunch on Friday afternoon. We were greeted pleasantly and helped promptly. We sat at a two-top table next to the bar. Our server let us know that the frozen drink I ordered may take a while as the bartender was a bit backed up. My husband got his drink, our server updated us periodically about mine. There were other drinks blending so I understood to be patient. The thin female working the bar was ranting and raving, complaining and cussing with a bar full of people. We tried not to let that affect the breathtaking view or our experience. At one point, she yelled out "F**k My Life!" and slammed items down behind the bar. My husband and I both received our lobsters and I still had no drink. I watched our sever remind the bartender about our drink numerous times. The bartender approached our server beside the bar and then proceeded to follow our sever through the restaurant arguing with her about how no one at her bar was unhappy. She left the bar to follow the server near the kitchen, all the while, I still did not have my drink. I worked in the service industry many moons ago. When the young woman returned to her place at the bar, I proceeded to stand up and told her myself that my grilled lobster made it to the table before my drink and that I would like something else promptly because I can't eat a lobster with no beverage. The bartender told me my ticket must have "gotten lost." This young woman was very unprofessional and unpleasant. I do not think she is cut out for the service industry. She immediately made my drink I had been waiting for although I told her I wanted something else at this point. She told me it would be "worth the wait." The owner came over to check on us after all this. The lobster was delicious and our sever was kind and apologetic, removing my drink from the bill. Long story short, some people are not cutout for the service industry. Arguing with coworkers and shouting and cussing behind the bar are things that should never take place in front of a customer. read more

Tha Landing is one of the nicer places to get a bite and a beverage in the area. It has a fair amount of comfortable outdoor seating. Service was so-so. Our server got our order wrong and then it took quite a while to get what we had originally ordered. After we left, I realized I had been over charged by about $15. Great for Burger Monday when burgers are $10 all day! Staff wasn't friendly, but our lunch was great value so I still recommend it when on Cane Bay beach. I got a burger with a fried egg (which is usually served runny) but was kind of scrambled in this case. The sides had many options at no extra charge: The side fries was good -- great texture! The side salad is a pretty big portion and fresh. The onion rings were large and a little over-fried but still good. We got sorbet for dessert and it was amazing! Great spot and location across from Cane Bay Beach. We sat there overlooking the Caribbean Sea from high above. Grabbed a few seats at the bar and had a great conversation with the bartender Anthony, make sure to say hello! After we ordered lunch the Ahi Tuna bites & Fish + Chips we got introduced to a game the bar hosts called "Shake of the Day" where you shake 6 dice in a Yahtzee cup and if you hit all the same numbers you win the pot. Someone had won $2900, we weren't there to witness it but it took a few months to get that high. Staff is friendly, courteous and attentive, patio is large with fans and music playing in the background. Big fan! read more

Fantastic, casual beach restaurant with excellent food and service. Monday nights they have some half off specials and live entertainment, which can result in a long wait. This place is always busy, and deserves to be, as it's in great location, directly across from Cane Bay, provides nice ocean views, and has a chill atmosphere and friendly staff. There are usually specials listed on their prominent chalk board, which I've tried many times, never being disappointed. On this visit we selected: * Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich * Honey Glazed Chicken Wings * Salad Everything was tasty, but, the Philly Cheesesteak was awesome, I hope to get that again on my next visit. Ya come here for the views, the inviting patio with fresh air flowing through and the drinks. It appeared to be the only dining spot around and it was perfect after some time on the beach. My first introduction to a Bushwhacker (frozen drink) and it was awesome!! Severed beautifully with chocolate drizzled in the glass. Food was ok. Nothing special, no real complaints. I ordered the grilled mahi sandwich and it was average. Taste was fine, it was fresh, but basic. Served with fries. Besides the solid drinks and awesome view, the service good. read more
