Reason for 4 star was because I was charged more for adding accent purple lashes to the corner of my eyes. It's the same amount of lashes so why would there be a different charge? I was informed of it though. Secondly the longest lash she had was 16 and I'm used to longer. I like mine a lot bolder. In a pinch would be fine going back. Making an appointment online is simple & easy, as well as their response/confirmation time is quick. They have plenty of parking in front & follow covid protocols. After my first appointment with Alsie, I felt confident that I found a lash artist who provides quality work & genuinely cares about her clients. She's always on point with my hybrid cateye, gentle to the touch, & takes the time to check her work before finishing up. We talk story in the beginning of the appointments, but I end up falling asleep (sorry Alsie!) because I get sooo comfortable (the vibe of the salon is very relaxing, too -- aesthetically pleasing & I love the playlists). Haven't had lashes in a few months and came across the Lash Out Bar's advertising for "models". I inquired and a lash trainee needed models to do a "volume" lashing at the rate of $50. I thought to myself ah what the heck why not? My lash artist is currently out of town on vacay and I felt the sudden need to get lashed.......... now I know why I should never cheat on my normal lash artist!!! Ok. So I wouldn't say my experience here was horrible but there are a few things that "got to me". My lash artist was a sweetheart, the 2 stars are for other reasons. First off, upon being greeted, filling out client form, and so forth, I was escorted to my lash artist's room. She then asked me what type of lashes I wanted. VOLUME. I signed up to be a volume model. She then goes on to ask what length of lashes I previously had and what did I want today. My answer: volume. Usually 15/16's in length. She then goes on to tell me that they don't do more than 14. I'm thinking maybe it's because I'm a model??? Not sure. So I ask if it's just for the model session or always? She says always, no one there will do longer than 14. Huh??? Seriously. Ok that was the first no no. Well, I already paid a deposit and I'm already there so what the heck just put the 14's on me. Fast forward 2.5 hours..... I barely look like I have lashes on at all. I've gotten volume lashes for years and walked out with wayyyyyyyy more lashes than I have now. I'm very disappointed not because of the money but more so my time. First of all I should of been told that they don't do longer than 14 BEFORE they let me be a model, Also, don't ask what type of lashes the customer wants if your not going to give them what they want. Regardless of the price, I walked out with NO VOLUME lashes - this is seriously a classic set!!! And to think I laid there for 2.5 hours ‍ Be upfront and more honest. Had I known I wouldn't get lashes longer than 14's I wouldn't have came. Definitely wouldn't have come if I wasn't getting volume lashes either. The place was a bit hard for me to find (it is Bulding #15 btw for anyone else who is interested in coming here). She did such an amazing job! There are so many amazing things to highlight about the Lash Out Bar: the people, the space, the experience. All of which compelled me to make a Yelp account just to leave a positive review! Let me start by saying the interior is beautifully decorated and immediately speaks to the professionalism of this local business. During my visit I was further comforted by the staff's commitment to cleaning the facilities before and after their clients' appointments. Most importantly, the estheticians are top tier. Not only do they provide excellent services, but they also are extremely kind. For both of my appointments, I had to take the bus because my car was out of commission. Knowing I had to walk and wait in the hot sun, both Alsie and Justine offered me sparkling water when I arrived. Not to exaggerate but the services at the Lash Out Bar changed my life. I got a lash lift and tint from Alsie. Prior to my lash lift, I felt insecure to go to the store, work, or even the beach without wearing mascara. Since Alsie's lash lift, 60% of the time I am not wearing mascara and when I do (which you can as long as it's not waterproof) my eyelashes look like falsies!! On a funny note, it was awesome to wake up from a long night in Vegas and feel confident enough to go to brunch without putting on any makeup. Outside of the results, I was impressed by Alsie's gentleness. Some of my other friends have told me some stories about the perm liquid burning their eyes. That was not a problem at all. Also, the entire time I felt comfortable since Alsie talked story with me. She even gave me some eyelash brushes for maintenance! I've also had the pleasure of getting a hydro-facial with a jelly mask by Justine. Usually I'm not one to splurge on facials but Justine has convinced me to make it a regular investment in myself. My skin was shining by the end, and Justine even showed me all of the gunk she collected from the facial, which proved to me how overdue this type of cleaning was needed. Justine was also very easy to talk to throughout the facial, adapted my facial to the sensitivity of my skin and the products I currently use, and also knew how to set an extremely relaxing environment (the best playlist!) while I had the jelly mask on. I highly recommend adding on the collagen hand mask, which not only nourishes your hands but also adds an extra layer of relaxation because Justine massages your hands before removing the jelly mask.
