I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about The Latest Kraez. I was admittedly not the easiest customer because I had to change the date of my mom's birthday celebration several times, and through every change they were incredibly patient, gracious, and accommodating. As impressive as the customer service was, the cake was still the highlight. They offered so many thoughtful options for flavors and customization, and I chose a vanilla cake with vanilla frosting and lemon curd filling. It was absolutely perfect. The cake was light and fluffy, the lemon curd added just the right amount of brightness, and the frosting was so delicious that people were practically fighting over it. It was easily one of the biggest hits of the night. One of my mom's friends is gluten free, and they also made her a chocolate cupcake with raspberry frosting so she could enjoy something special too. It was delicious, beautifully done, and such a thoughtful addition. I have walked past The Latest Kraez countless times while walking my dog, but somehow always seemed to miss their hours. Right out of the gate, the person who filled my order was rude and impatient. It seemed as soon as I walked into the store they wanted me to quickly make my selection and go. In fact, I would have bought more items, but felt I pressured to quickly make up my mind, pay, and leave. It actually worked out because the mini cakes I purchased were horrible. If they were any indication of what the rest of the baked goods tasted like then the bad attitude I encountered saved me a ton of money. The cakes were tasteless and dry, and the icing had absolutely no flavor or salt. The buttercream was over whipped. The cakes were pretty, but that's where the compliments begin and end. Food not only has to look good but taste good, too. I'm won't be returning. It was a waste of (a lot of) money. Even Stop & Shop's bakery offers a far superior mini cake compared to The Latest Kraze. It's great when a bakery goes to brick 'n mortar! In this case, The Latest Kraez has opened in Longmeadow with some great offerings. We stopped by this morning and picked up Coffee Cake Muffins and a Blueberry Muffin. They were fresh and delicious, as was the Chocolate Muffin we purchased last week. Great location, service is very quick. Deserts look great, but as a breakfast option, so far after 3 visits I'm a bit disappointed. Biggest issue if they are lacking multiple breakfast options. Seems to be limited to one type of muffin each morning. I hope they are able to increase their options, have some consistency (like always have blueberry muffins). Their desserts look great, I haven't tried them yet. Store is very nice and clean! Hoping they ramp up options as the become busier. read more

Disappointed by our initial purchase after reading glowing reviews everywhere. We were in the area for a Christmas event so stopped to purchase a half dozen cupcakes. Available flavors were limited-surprising for early in their business day-but tried 3 flavors. The cupcakes were dry and just okay, and each had a very small amount of frosting on them. The frosting was universally tasty. At this price point, probably would not purchase again. I truly believe the business owner is beloved by many who are piling on the positive reviews to support her but I did not see any evidence of a 5 star product. read more
